Posted December 28, 2013 by Michelle in My TBR List / 7 Comments

I have SOOOOOOOOO many books on my TBR list
I decided that instead keeping it to myself I would share with all of you.
I put most of these books on for a reason,
some I have no idea why they are there 😉
So let’s chat…..
maybe it’s a book you read and HATED
or a book you LOVED and want me to read NOW
or a book you never heard of.
I figured I will randomly pick one book each week to share with you 🙂
This week I picked…..

This is the last one for the year…the next will be Jan 4, 2014 🙂
I do hope you have been enjoying this feature on my blog, it really helps me get out all the books that are sitting on my TBR list just waiting for me to pick them up. I also hope I have introduced you to new books to add to your TBR List 🙂
So lets see what I picked for the last book of 2013
(asked for this one for xmas)

The Burning Sky
(The Elemental Trilogy #1)
by Sherry Thomas
Hardcover, 464 pages
Published September 17th 2013 by Balzer + Bray (first published September 15th 2013)

It all began with a ruined elixir and an accidental bolt of lightning…
Iolanthe Seabourne is the greatest elemental mage of her generation—or so she’s being told. The one prophesied for years to be the savior of The Realm. It is her duty and destiny to face and defeat the Bane, the greatest mage tyrant the world has ever known. A suicide task for anyone let alone a sixteen-year-old girl with no training, facing a prophecy that foretells a fiery clash to the death.
Prince Titus of Elberon has sworn to protect Iolanthe at all costs but he’s also a powerful mage committed to obliterating the Bane to avenge the death of his family—even if he must sacrifice both Iolanthe and himself to achieve his goal.

But Titus makes the terrifying mistake of falling in love with the girl who should have been only a means to an end. Now, with the servants of the Bane closing in, he must choose between his mission and her life.

I have seen this book a few times and considered getting it but I wasn’t sure. I did add it to my christmas list of books I want this year. Which is the only thing I want this year is a bunch of books 🙂
I do love the cover and the synopsis really sounds amazing
So….
Have you heard of this book?
Have you read it?
If so, is it something I should read soon or not read at all?

Lets Chat 🙂

Thanks for stopping by this weeks My To Be Read List
Check back Saturday of next YEAR 😉 for a new featured book!!

  1. I realy like the cover for this book, it also sounds great, although I am afraid it might be a bit too much in the direction of high fantasy for me. Did you end up getting this one for christmas? I would be curious to hear what you think of it!

    • No I didn't but I did get a few gift cards and with this feature on saturdays I might have to start getting some of them to read. I heard good things about this book. I do like high fantasy but I am very picky with it. I love the cover too 🙂

The cover is really cool- but I haven't read this one! Good to know from Kristen that it starts off a little slow. 🙂

    Enjoy!

  3. I really enjoyed The Burning Sky though the beginning was a bit hard to get into. I hope you enjoy it when you read it. I loved the magic aspects and thought Thomas did a great job with the dialog and relationships.

    • I love the cover. I will keep that in mind when I get to it don't want to bail before it gets good lol. Have been seeing this one around a lot and always have been wondering.
      Thanks for stopping by 🙂
