Welcome to Task It Tuesday! created by the Awesome The Geeky Blogger
Hosted by Michelle at Because Reading is better than real life!
What is Task It Tuesday? Every week I list a task or tasks that I would like to accomplish on my blog or in Real Life before next Tuesday. It can be big or small but the goal is to get something done that will make my blog/reading life/challenges run smoother, faster, or more efficient and/or get those simple or complex tasks done in my real life. You can use the hashtag #TaskitTues
You might notice a lot of differences in this post this week. I was getting tired of staring at a list that never ended. I was annoyed that all the tasks on the list just weren’t getting done. I was tired of saying what I want to do and not doing anything at all. Last week I explained just because I post it doesn’t mean I have to do it and that needs to change. I also said a few weeks ago I got a new planner that will help me get more organized. So this new layout is what you will see every week. From now on I will be breaking down each day with what I plan to do, just like my planner and then the next week put the list up again and tell you what I was able to do and what needed to be moved. This is more for me and how I do things plus I wanted to share with everyone how things in my week look. This might be helpful to you or it might not matter but for me I need to hold myself accountable for what I don’t do and seeing it might help me get more disciplined on how I do stuff. Like if you are on a diet and write down everything you eat, you sort of think, “WOW, I eat all that in one day” only to make adjustments as the weeks go on until you have a better eating habit. Sort of the same thing. I will also be adding upcoming events that not only are organizing, but also events that help with other blogging needs. I am also going to share with you some tips and tricks from other bloggers and hoping to get some guests posts of organizing and planning addicts that might help you get more organized, this will be done possibly next year with a spin off post. Like I said last week, it’s time to take this more seriously!

Last weeks Goals:
Upcoming Events:
- Blog Ahead hosted by Herding Cats and Burning Soup event is scheduled for the month of October. in progress, you still have time to join.

This challenge it’s all about getting ahead and giving yourself a blogging buffer. It’s amazing how much having extra scheduled posts can make during emergencies, vacations or just when dealing plain ol’ blogging slumps. It can really cut the stress during every day blogging as well 🙂 And what better way to get ahead than with the support of other bloggers?
- (taken from website)
- Write On Review-a-thon hosted by Book Bumblings this is a monthly event
- (taken from website)
How’s your TBR list? No, not that one. I’m talking about “to be reviewed.”
And your NetGalley ratio? How close are you to the coveted 80%?
Or do you have a busy week and need to get ahead on your editorial calendar?
If you answered “blergh,” “gah,” or anything with a curse to one of the above scenarios, the Write On Review-a-Thon is for you.
- (taken from website)
- 24 Hour Dewey Read-a-thon
- This isn’t really an organizing or task event but it can get those books read you always wanted too. This is one of my favorite events and it starts October 22.
Blog Posts to check out:

Are you ready to get organized?
I think I like your new layout, Michelle, and I’m eager to see how it works for you. You need (we all need) something to help us get organized and feel good about what we’re getting done. I also look forward to you sharing tips and trips. I’ll never be as organized as your are (or Anna for that matter) but I enjoy seeing how the process works for others. 😉
Happy Anniversary to you and Scott!! <3
Plans are good, Michelle. And sticking to plans is even better 😉 I need to have someone who can kick my butt so that I work more on my thesis. I would like to do my defense in November… And I have hardly written anything yet o.O
{{{hugs}}} Miss your gorgeous face!
I think you’re right, having a plan for what you’ll do each day is going to make a big difference for you. I should do it, but I know I won’t. Plus, I just do as much as I can in the weekend. Weekdays are for family and school. Good luck!
I am so all over the place I need a plan. Lol. I split my time over the weekends. Do lots of blogging in the am and the rest of the day is for family 🙂
