My Review:
I was so happy to be a part of this tour and even more excited to have been able to read this book because WOW, It was FANTASTIC! I really loved this book. It was one of those books that just kept going and going and before you knew it, it was done…and with a MAJOR CLIFFHANGER. I am a rare person who really doesn’t mind a cliff hanger and this had a great cliff hanger that I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE!!!
The story is a modern day twist of the Arthurian Legend, I loved this retelling, it was just such a fun and fresh telling of an already amazing legend. Morgan LaFey is fantastic, I just adore her and she really broke my heart, everyone was against her and someone was trying to kill her. After a while I was starting to have trust issues with the characters in the book, you can tell something big was going on every page got you closer and made me more excited about who was trying to kill her and what this big plan was. Morgan was trying to become the Maven of Little soon to be King Arthur so she tries out to be one of Arthurs Rounds and is chosen, She meets her biggest competition Merlin, a friend Guinevere and an arrogant Lancelot. All these characters were AMAZING and I just loved them.
The story and the world build was so detailed and I loved every minute of it, with so much going on this book was really hard to put down, I know I have said that before but really it was hard to put down. The END, Oh My God, the END just made me LOVE Morgan even more. I can’t wait for the next one. Could this be a new favorite series for me? Maybe 🙂
I was about a 4 right at the beginning but half way I knew this would be hands down a solid 5 for me. Realm Lovejoy is now one of my top authors, she is a phenomenal story teller!

Oh sounds really good – I don’t know if I’ve read any Arthurian retellings, but holy crap do I like that world! Going to add this to my must read list!
Thank you so much for reading Henge and for taking the time to write a detailed review on your lovely blog! I’m so thrilled that you enjoyed the book and very honored to receive your feedback. I hope you’ll like the next book too, which will be out later this year!
I am looking forward to the next one! Thanks for writing an amazing story
Wow, I haven’t seen many Camelot re-tellings around lately. I love how pretty the cover is for this one. And how enthused you were about it. Very curious to read this!!
I’ve only read one other camelot retelling, it was Camelot Burning (Metal & Lace, #1) by Kathryn Rose. It was good but honestly this one was a LOT better!
I will admit I might not have thought about grabbing this one up to read but you make it sound so good that I will put it on my list. 🙂
That’s me being a bad influence again but I really loved it 🙂
Very good review (:
Thank you 🙂
I’ve been having great luck with retellings in general in the last year and this one sounds like another winner! Glad to be warned about the cliffhanger though! I personally kind of love them bc they’re memorable and fun, but it’s good to know in advance >.< Great review, Michelle!
It was fantastic, I hope you get the chance to read it. Just a great story and characters. The end was great I love cliffhangers also, I do like to be warned however sometimes it’s a good surprise. It’s just how it cliffhanges is the fun part to find out 🙂
