I am not sure what I was expecting but this was really good. I never read a graphic novel and honestly when I picked it for my TBR list I didn’t know it was until someone mentioned it. It was a great read and I now want the rest of the series. It’s a little expensive but I plan to get them when I can.
The story is about Emily and Navin, the family moves to their great grandfathers house with their mom. The family experiences a great loss and needed a change and fresh start. The house hold secrets and something is going on. They didn’t expect what they got and OMG I love the world that it throws you into. I am eager to see what happens next. This is a great book one in what looks to be an amazing adventure.
Highly recommend, I am not sure what age group this would be for, maybe teen, but definitely YA and adult. This is really a fun read. I enjoyed it! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by to check out my review.
Have a great day and Happy Reading!
Yay! I’m so happy you enjoyed this, Michelle! I wish we lived closer – I’d let you borrow my kids’ copies. You have me thinking I might pull them off Sky’s shelf to read them. 🙂
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!! <3 {{{hugs}}}
Do you know, I’m STILL waiting for my copy at the library? It says it’s checked in, but…here I sit. Still. *sigh* My library has a wonderful large collection of graphic novels. I suggest a purchase for ones I really want or if I don’t want to be too greedy I do the interlibrary loan. I got the majority of the Sandman graphic novels from out of state libraries. How cool is that?!
Looks like a fun GN!
I’ve read one graphic novel that I’ve really enjoyed though it was food related and sounds very different than this. This sounds way more fun! I’m glad you enjoyed it despite it being a little different than expected.
I want to read more now and I just don’t know where to start. They are rather expensive to get. I loved Comics as a kid so not sure why I stopped or never tried this until now.
That’s the one reason why I don’t read more graphic novels, they are so expensive compared to normal books and how much reading time you get out of them. But they can be fun. From the cover I didn’t realize this was a graphic novel either. It sounds like it was a great read! I hope you can get the next book!
Exactly, they read so fast it’s not worth the money but the illustrations are amazing so it is. They are hard books to price.
I am hoping to get them also. Waiting to see if amazon put them on sale I will grab them up.
Sounds awesome! We have the series at my library and it goes out all the time, particularly the middle school students like it. Glad you enjoyed your book!
I really need to check and see if our library has it since they have a new younger librarian so maybe, just maybe, she made some changes.
Glad you enjoyed it, I got behind so I didn’t get my book read. I got interested in a different book…lol. This month went by to fast! 🙂
You have been having a rough time with books the last two months so I totally get it.
I’m glad you enjoyed it. I really need to give graphic novels a shot. I just don’t like comics AT ALL, so I’m hesitant.
I used to read comics all the time and thought…I don’t know…Graphic Novels were different for some reason. It makes me want to get all my old comics and start reading the ones I never got too.
IT looks great, I want to check it out!
It was a fun read.
This sounds excellent. My son and I would both enjoy it. Thanks for the fun review!
Thank Laura! I really want to get my son to read Graphic Novels, I really think he would enjoy them.
Great review! This sounds like a fun book. I have some graphic novels that I need to read so I hope I like the format.
I want to read more. I didn’t realize I would like it so much however when I was younger I read a lot of comics so it’s sort of the same thing.
That is the one I voted for and glad to see you really enjoyed it. I haven’t read a graphic novel yet either but might have to check this out! Great review!!
It was good, make sure your library has the rest because they are a bit expensive (most graphic novels are) my library doesn’t. Now I really want to see what happens next 🙂
