4 stars #Review ~ Reign of Magic (Empire of Dragons Book 2) by K.N. Lee

I honestly couldn’t wait to find out what happened, so as soon as this book was released I grabbed it. I was hoping for a lot more and this book even with 144 pages, gave me what I wanted and more. I am so invested in Amalia and Kylans story and what will happen next. The ending was great and I can see the next book being the start of Amalia being a complete badass.

This story starts where the last one left off. You get a lot of Erani history in this book plus a lot more about who Amalia and Kylan are. I would have liked a lot more details but for me it didn’t take away from the epic story. You find out a lot of certain people in this book and you also lose a few people that I have grown to like. I am excited to see the relationship grown between Amalia and Kylan, I also wonder what will happen when Aros comes back. Lots of things are still open.

I think the only thing that is preventing this from being EPIC 5 star is the lack of details and how quickly things move along. I wanted an epic battle and the details just weren’t there. I am hoping the story will grow on the characters more because even though I love the relationship, I feel like the connection isn’t there yet. I feel like somehow the magic connection they have is only really one sided. So I again hope that the next one will have all the elements I am missing in this one since this one had all the elements I was missing in the first one. (does that make sense?)

Overall, I am really enjoying this series. I am hoping to grab few more of her books. I do like her writing style and how the story flows is easy to read. This book isn’t good for younger kids, I highly recommend for adults and lovers of a quick exciting fantasy. Even with everything I just said, I am really loving this series! 🙂
