My Review:

This review may contain spoilers from the first book.

This is one of my favorite series, Jocelyn is an extremely likable character and very quirky. She is so much fun and it was nice to board the Hook’s Revenge and hang with a few old friends.

Jocelyn is in search of her dad’s treasure that he hide a long time ago. He left her a map and she is looking for a fun adventure and she does get quite the adventure. Now that the crocodile has been defeated, Captain Hook has a new enemy to defeat and this guy is a bad guy. Jocelyn had a fierce encounter with him in the first book but this time he is prepared to take the map and claim the treasure for his own. Captain Krueger is not a nice guy and he doesn’t care who he has to go through to get what he wants. It’s up to Jocelyn and her miss matched band of pirates to help her defeat the captain and find her dad’s treasure.

This was such a fun adventure to go on and I really adore Jocelyn. She is trying so hard to be a big bad pirate but she really does have a bit of a soft side. When she kidnaps one of Peter Pan’s mothers instead of getting a frightened little girl, she gets Evie a girl looking for adventure of her own and has no intentions of going back to England. She wants to stay in Neverland and help Jocelyn. Things get a little complicated and you really see Jocelyn in a different light. She grows a lot in this books and I can’t wait to see what adventure she goes on next. She is trying so hard to keep her friendship with Roger but she tends to put her foot in her mouth a lot more than she should but I don’t think she is doing it on purpose.

I just loved the story and I really do love the characters. Krueger gave me such anxiety, I was rooting for Jocelyn the entire book but Krueger was just such a jerk. This book has lots of adventure, lots of humor and it’s just a really fun read. I highly recommend this series it a great read for all ages.

  1. This sounds like something I would really enjoy! I love middle grade adventure stories and the Peter Pan tie in sounds fun. I think this sounds like it be a fun read aloud book for my 6 year old in the next year or two. Thanks for sharing!
