Week in READview:

On & Off the Blog:

So my husband had this week off and we didn’t really have plans. We did go to the mall one day to walk around and eat at the rainforest cafe. That night I ended up taking my daughter (they/them) to the hospital. They were complaining of a headache and kept getting dizzy. The ER doctor was a dope and we ended up coming home at 3:45 only to have no answers. I waiting two days to see how my daughter would feel after all they did at the hospital and while they felt a bit better I decided to call my kids pediatrician to make an appointment. Well apparently, she died (our pediatrician)….so….yeah…I was like so shocked I hung on the on receptionist. So now I am trying to find a new doctor for both my kids and now I have a headache.

The rest of the week we stayed home since the temp was about 97 with a real feel of 105 or higher. Got some stuff done around the house and finished this weeks class which I passed.

Next week is back to normal…thank goodness. Cheer Practice, Husband at work and Son going to work. I am looking forward to the normal routine again. Still nervous about what will come in September but I have faith it will all work out in the end.

Read & Currently Reading:

I took a week off of reading and just played The Sims late into the night. I got this book on Thursday and checked out the first chapter. I felt the need to continue so this is my current read now. 🙂

  1. Oh my gosh! That is crazy! I can’t believe the doctor died and that’s how you found out! But I’m glad your daughter is doing better from the last reply you posted. I love all your designs on here. I keep not being satisfied with my own blog header and have changed it a few times. But since you don’t really do your own illustrations according to your website, not sure there’s much you can do to help. 🙁 Although I might reach out about a book cover if I ever finish my other books I’ve been working on. Anyway, I hope that you have a better week coming up!

    • I know! They could have sent an email! I was so shocked.
No I don’t do illustrations but I can take an illustration and create a header if you get one. I can also take clip art and create something new. You can always check out my website to see what I have done but I’m always available if you need anything 🙂

  2. Oh my gosh! “she died (our pediatrician)” . THAT’S not something you expect to hear when you call the doc. Yikes.

“The ER doctor was a dope” That made me laugh even though I know it’s not funny, the ER can be so stressful. I hope all is well…

I love Rainforest cafe but ours is like 2 hours away, I miss going there.

  3. I’m sorry you didn’t get any answers for your daughter. I don’t have the best experiences with ER doctors either or most doctors in general, actually. They love to blame stress for everything. Been dealing with medical stuff for years and I still don’t have answers so I get how frustrating that must be. I hope they’ll feel better soon. ♥

    • The doctor was blaming dehydration, lack of sleep schedule and the computer. My daughter drinks nothing but water, has a good sleep routine and is on the computer all the time. if anyone would have issues it would be me since I barely drink. The doctor insisted that it was because of that but we told her a dozen times it has been for a while and not two days. Once the doctor realized her error we where quickly released. It was a weird experience.

  4. Sorry to hear about your pediatrician. ER doctors are always like that. They want to get you in and out as fast as possible. Hopefully they feel better this week.

    • She didn’t even check their ears or throat, just said my daughter was dehydrated and on their phone too much, plus needs more sleep. I am like what? I tried to tell the doctor that wasn’t it but I just was done after being there for 3 hours.

    • The ER Doctor said since they weren’t sensitive to light it wasn’t a migraine but the last 3 days I am starting to think it might be sinus. I have had sinus issues the last few days and it’s pretty much what my daughter has been saying minus the dizzy. So I am going to see about finding a doctor on Monday and take them next week. Just to rule out anything serious.

  5. Oh HECK. When you said “apparently she died,” I thought you mean your daughter and my jaw dropped. I’m sorry to hear that but relieved I read that wrong. 😰 I hope they feel better now and you’re able to find a new doctor soon.

I’ve heard great things about The Maleficent Seven! Hope this week’s a little kinder to you. <3
