On & Off the Blog:
Well I up and disappeared again. I am sure I will do it again. Things around here are starting to somewhat fall into a pattern, the house is coming along and I now have a new computer and can actually work on projects again. My old computer was so slow it was like pulling teeth to get it to function. I upgraded to a better computer and it’s a lot faster and can handle large files and running multi programs which is what I needed.
The weather was promising this week, in the low 60’s and just beautiful but apparently summer isn’t over since it was 85 today and it’s yuck humid going to be like that for the next couple of days and after that I hope it will be nice and cozy fall.
Home owning sucks….in the last month we got a new door and new screen door, fixed our driveway, added a front walk, painted my room, bought rugs for my room and my sons room and got a new door for the basement. We still have a bunch of stuff to get done, changing the lights, fixing the fireplace, adding electric plugs outside and one in the basement plus fix and get a new garage door. Oh and our couch has seen better days. I feel like everything is falling apart faster than I can get it replaced.
Reading isn’t going as well and I have decided that I am going to blog ahead (I miss that event) I am going to start blogging for next year. So I am going to start creating posts for Jan and beyond, that way it will be a little more relaxed and I can plan way ahead and add in when needed. I am actually very excited about it and plan to start on November 1st. At the moment just coming up with what I plan to post. 🙂
Going to spend some of today just doing little things or finishing stuff I wasn’t able to get to last week. I want to get a head start on stuff around the house for this week so next weekend I can vegetate! 🙂
PS if I owe you artwork you will be getting it in the next week or two, sorry for the delay.

So much work done in the house. No wondernu were gone
Home owning can be expensive. There’s always something that needs to be done. Good luck with your new computer. Have a great week!
Glad to have you back! yes, there is always plenty to do when you own a home. I’m teaching my daughter how to do the yardwork with me. We had a lot of repairs in 2024 but this year it’s been planned upgrades or improvements. We’ve been having nice weather mostly 75-80 but not humid and 50s overnight. I try to blog ahead every year, usually in August but this year other things were happening then so it fell to September mostly. I just did all the Library Love post setups this week so now I’m actually done with all my 2026 post setups other than reviews I set up when I get the ARC.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Nice! I’ve gotten pretty ahead with blog posts sometime back and I just keep at it. That way the times where I didn’t have time to write up posts or had zero energy I could allow myself to skip. I’ve now regular posts scheduled at least a month ahead, minus the posts that come with wrap-ups or current read related ones! It’s nice being ahead of the game. Lol. Homeowning does sound stressful. Of course, I’d just like to find one that I can afford. I know my parents are handy and can help with fixtures here and there to get it in living condition, but sadly, I can’t get close to finding something affordable. It’s been like that for over a year now. I get close but then someone with more money sweeps it away before I can even schedule a walk through/viewing. Sigh…
Hope you have a happy reading week ahead!
Hope you have a great week!
Blogging ahead sounds so luxurious! I am trying to blog my holiday wish list ahead, as I keep seeing things I want while I’m shopping for early holidays with my snowbird parents. Welcome back! Sounds like the house stuff is going well too. I had to sidetrack all that until the budget settles down from start of school and holidays…
