Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Itโs a chance to share news, post a recap of the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
On the Blog, Books & Real Life:
I have been working like crazy this past week to finish up the last two weeks of this year. This week coming up might be a little light since I am trying to get my Out with the Old/In with the New Posts finished before the end of the year plus the week after christmas I want to start working on all my posts for the end of the year and doing some for next year. I got a few new note books, I had made, all different colors so I can organize my thoughts. My Notes and Ideas books is filled with stuff I can’t wait to do in the new year. 20 days smoke free and I have been blogging and reading like when I first started. I still have a few craving issues that will eventually go away but I feel so much like myself again. ๐
This week was sort of busy but not that bad. It was pretty mild when it came to weather and then it took a MONSTER turn on Friday and instead of the 48, we plummeted down to 36 during the day, then low 20’s during the night. IT WAS FANTASTIC! I love this weather, I know, I am completely insane, but something about the chilly weather always makes me feel so cozy. I am pretty much finished christmas shopping with only stocking stuffers to get and a few gift cards but the giftย cardsย my husband gets forย me as we get closer to Christmas. I am menu planning now and figuring out if I want to bake anything. I did a bunch of baking on Friday with my mom but I usually like to do a few little things. I might try out fudge, I have always wanted to make it. If I can figure it out I might make a few flavors…if I have time.
Binge watched Fuller House season 2…I freaking love that show!
Don’t forget you still have time to sign up for…

New on the Bookshelf/Kindle:
I received these from the Author, I am super excited about reading them. I read Embers in 2013 but it has been updated so I plan to read it again and continue on with the series. I am also going to try out her other series. She is one of the first authors, when I started blogging, to give me a review arc of her book. I am so excited to dive into this world again.
So tell me what have you been reading and up to this week?
Hope you all have a fantastic week!!!
Happy Reading
Congrats again on not smoking. You’ll have it licked in no time. I’ve never seen these dragon books before and will have to look them up. I can’t help but LOVE the cover and the expression on the dragon’s face in Ashes & Spirits – of course it doesn’t hurt that purple is my favorite color.
Congrats on 20 days smoke free! That’s awesome! I need to make my 2017 challenge post, so hopefully I’ll be able to make it this week. Have a wonderful week, and happy reading! ๐
Congrats on quitting smoking. Next week will be seven months for me. I love how much better everything tastes and smells. And no more stinky smoke on me or my stuff. Not to mention a lot more money to spend on other things, like books! LOL
Congrats on 20 days! That is a big accomplishment! Proud of you for staying strong. I’ve got to get on the “out with the old” train soon, too. I hope the crazy of work settles down and you get some relaxation.
Ha ha sounds like you’re having a fun (and busy) time! The holidays are hectic but fun, no doubt. and you’d love our weather- snow and cold, although it sounds like you might be as cold as us! It’s in the 20’s here too and the roads suck- the only bad thing. Congrats on smoke free! That’s an awesome achievement- I think it was holiday time when I quit too.
Those dragons look badass on those Trosper covers! And The Breakup Support group looks fun too.
Congrats on going smoke-free! That’s awesome ๐
I am notbquite done with my posts for the year. Right now I’m writing my posts a week ahead of time. I’d love to be able to get it up to a month though. Maybe that will happened during my 4 day Christmas weekend .
Right now I am working on my tbr lists for Cram-a-thon and 2017 reading assignment challenge so I can get those posts up next week.
Thank you! ๐ I am very happy I was able to stop. It makes me feel so much better.
I want to be at least two weeks ahead because I know I wont be able to do anything the next few weeks. SO I have my fingers crossed I can do a bunch of stuff today and the beginning of the week.
I don’t know Cram-a-thon but the Reading assignment I do ๐ lol
Well, you can just keep all that cold and I will be sure to tell the weather to go up there where you are and leave me alone! ๐ I am ready for spring! It doesn’t make me feel cozy it just makes me feel….COLD! ๐ ๐ The covers of those dragon books are really cool! Hope you enjoy your reads!!
Stormi ox
I love my cold! ๐ No spring yet…one season at a time.
They are cool covers, the books are pretty epic..at least the first one is, cant wait to read it again and read the others!
Congrats on 20 days smoke free ๐ That is so awesome!!! I’m trying to get my end of the year posts scheduled this week as well since around the holidays will be busy. Sounds like you’ve gotten a lot done for yours already.
It turned off cold here this week as well. I have a love-hate relationship with it. I love it….if it snows. Seeing as how we moved a little further south this summer, we’ll most likely get ice instead of snow which I hate ๐
Ummm…yes to Fuller House!!! I rewatched season 1 this week and started season 2 yesterday. I’m about halfway through. They did a really good job with this reboot I think. Love it!!!
Hope you have a great week Michelle ๐
Thank you! ๐
I have a ton to do but I am determined to get it all done and not skip anything. The only post I am iffy about is the challenge post. I don’t really keep that great track of challenges. I would like to next year and I never enter end giveaways so sometimes I am not sure that post is needed for me but if I have time I might squeeze it in.
Snow, I love snow but today we get a mushy mess, that I don’t like or Ice…I hate Ice.
YES!!! My daughter finished the entire season already. They really did a good job and the acting just seems so laid back like they aren’t even scripted which makes it so awesome. It’s also VERY funny. I laugh out loud constantly! ๐
I love cold weather and snow! It got cold here but we still don’t have snow and I am very upset about this! Hope things continue to go so well for you!!
We are getting a mushy mess today. I can live without that, I just want plan snow ๐
That’s great you’re doing so well with keeping smoke free and getting a lot of blogging done. I’ll have a few light blogging weeks coming up as well. I don’t have a lot of posts scheduled for the new year yet, but I hope to get some written end December. And at least I have a few kitchen and advice posts done for the next year.
I don’t like the cold, but cold weather does make me feel cozy. It’s been pretty mild here so far. I heard fudge can be tricky to make, but I do love the taste of it. Let me know how it goes if you try making it! I saw your cookies pictures on facebook, they all looked so delicious! Neat you got all those books by that author to read! I hope they’re all good ones. Have a great week!
Thank you, I am quite proud of myself all around, Now I just need to get into the groove of visiting my bloggy friends again, once the holidays are over I am getting back to all the things I loved the most reading, blogging and my bloggy friends ๐
I am happy with the posts but I am still a bit behind, so I am hoping today and this week I can get all the posts I need to get finished, done. Fingers crossed
The cookies are always so much fun to make. My friend makes fudge and swears it’s super easy so I guess we will see, she might be more of a baker than me ๐
I was excited to hear from her, it’s been a while so to be able to read them all is exciting. ๐ I plan to do one book a month since they are long books.
