Week in READview:

On & Off the Blog:

Welp… I wanted one good snow and I got two. Plus we will be getting two more this week. So maybe, just maybe, I jinked it. Oops. Today we got about 2 to 3 inches which isn’t bad at all. Still drivable but Tuesday we might get a little more. I don’t mind the snow as much as the ice. Ice is harder to drive on. In the beginning of the week we got about an inch and when I parked at work I think someone side swiped my car. Of course no note was left so now I have a huge scrap on the front end of my car but hoping I can get it buffed out once the weather gets warmer. I should have realized parking where I did that could have happened for those that can’t drive when it snows.

If you didn’t know, I am a huge Sims player and we got some great news this week about a new ep.

They named it businesses and hobbies but it’s lacking in the hobby area but, of course, I will still get it and excited to play since one of my current families wants to open a business so I will work on my Legacy family until this comes out in March. I have been playing the Sims since the first one came out, 25 years ago. They did release Sims 1 and 2 again but not for the Mac so I get to live through other people playing on-line. 🙂

I am still reading my current book and hoping to get a good chunk of it read this week since I am feeling like I want to read more again. Thank goodness since this has been the longest reading slump ever! (going on 2 years) I still buy books even if I am not reading them. Two totally different hobbies.

We officially only have one teen in the house now because my oldest turns 20 today. We went to Applebees yesterday per his request and today it will be just a lazy day and then watching the superbowl later and enjoying some Tacos since the family requested that and my son will get whatever he wants for his dinner (he is a picky eater) This kid has come so far in the last two years we are so proud of him. If you don’t know him he has special needs and is just doing amazing. We are hoping in the summer he will attempt to get a part time job. His anxiety is so bad that it is hard for him to anticipate what that will be like so we want to find a place that is willing to work with him and us.

I have been binge watching episodes of 20/20 lately. I have been in a true crime mood and this is really hitting the spot. Some of these stories are absolutely crazy.

The next few weeks we plan re organize the house since when we moved in a year ago I feel like we just threw everything some place and just moved on. I need it to be more organized and just get it together.

  1. Sounds like a nice week minus the car accident! Hope you can get it buffed out in the spring. And ooh Phantasma is one I really want to read! Might try reading that once I finish up my event reads, then two books in a series I’ve been dying to get back to, and THEN I will read this one! As of now at least! Lol!

Hope you have a great week ahead!

  2. We’ve gotten cold and it even snowed one week. Today is 65 but it will be colder this week. I’ve already planted the cool season veggies. I’ve bought a lot of books and audiobooks I haven’t read yet. But I do plan to get to them. I’ve focused a lot on reading freebies and maybe I also need to get to things I own and paid money as well.
