Week in READview:

On & Off the Blog:

The last few weeks have been super busy, my daughters cheer went awesome, their team came in 1st place and we had a great time in Hershey, PA. We didn’t do much but it was so nice to spend a couple days with my daughter alone, just us. We laughed a lot and just spent time chatting. The car ride was about 2 1/2 hours so it was also nice to just drive and see the sights, we did see lots of cows, horses and abandoned houses. PA has a lot of houses that look like they have been around for years. The mountains and open fields, it was a really nice drive.

Last weekend we had the 36 hour Read-a-thon in the COYER group, it was so much fun. I really enjoyed it and was able to get pretty far in my book, I look forward to our next one, I plan to read a lot more during that one. You are always welcome to be a part of the COYER community without actually doing the challenge. All bookish people are welcome! 🙂

Design work has been amazing, thank you all that have come to me for design jobs. I am still open to take more work. I am really enjoying keeping busy during the day with work. My ultimate dream would be to do that full time or even part time and get something else on the side. The last week, I discovered a lot of new design options and idea and look forward to exploring those more.

I am still working on getting my design website up and running but with all the work I have been doing, I haven’t had time. I am hoping at some point next week I can get some stuff organized so I can put the website back together to at least get it up and running for now and add as I go. I am also working on a few more design projects that will be up for sale, still haven’t had the time for them but I think I need to start planning my day a little different so I can be organized enough to make the day super productive so I can do more family stuff on the weekends.

My blog posts should be up again at some point, with the last couple of weeks being so busy, I had to put a lot of my posts on hold but I am hoping to add it in my week schedule to at least spend an hour a day doing posts or maybe even getting back to visiting if I can get ahead.

Read & Currently Reading:

Reading hasn’t suffered the last few weeks, I have been on FIRE when it comes to reading. I accidentally read a series this week, it’s been a while since I read a RH retelling of Alice in Wonderland.

Might Read Next:

I have a retelling readathon and Bout of Books this week, so I am hoping to read a few really short retellings that will work with both Bout of Books and the readathon. Since the readathon is two weeks, my plan to to try and end it with a longer retelling, just not sure what book that will be yet.

What I grabbed:

It is Mother’s Day today and I have been banned from buying books because I probably got them as a gift. I will share my books next weekend. I have a book box book I plan to share also from April.

What I watched:

We just finished Wanda Vision, I actually liked it a lot more than my husband, he was getting confused *rolls eyes*

I am also watching a documentary about the Son of Sam and will be getting back into Wynona Earp this week coming up. My daughter and I are still working on My Hero Academia.

  1. What a fun day with Julia! It’s always good to get some one on one time! My aunt lives in Lancaster and pre-pandemic we were planning on making a trip to visit her and one of our stops was going to be Hershey. Happy Mother’s day! I hope you get lots of great books!
