Big Changes, Dog Bites and a normal week! ~ WIR & SP

This is a long post! I just had a LOT to tell you.

Have you heard? Because Reading is going through some BIG CHANGES! Like I now have an awesome Co-blogger! If you haven’t read you can find the post HERE or below. I adopted Berls from Fantasy is More Fun, real life has been kicking both of our butts to the point that she pretty much has been MIA and I have had a very light blog. Β On Sunday, I got a text from her and only read the first part. It set me in a panic, she was closing her blog, it wasn’t until I read the rest of the text that I realized this might benefit both of us. The text basically said that She was going to close out her blog but instead of just reviewing on my blog (since I offered her that a few weeks back) can she be my co-blogger. I couldn’t let her go, blogging wouldn’t be the same without her and COYER, needs her. So we worked out a few details and this will be her new home. We work so well together, I don’t see us having a problem. Plus she has so many reviews to catch up on, I can go on vacation until 2018 πŸ˜‰ Just kidding! I can finally catch up on my reading and not feel super stressed about getting content for the blog, with the two of us we will have an awesome mix.

So starting Monday (even thought she posted on Thursday and Saturday) She will officially be doing her post. For the month of June, she will be putting up a bunch of reviews and then both of us will start the next month. I will have stuff thrown in but I want her to get a feel of blogging again and I let her post in the empty spots in July. (I fixed it!) πŸ˜‰

Nothing for us will really change. Monday will be Berls reviews and Thursday will be Mine, we will both be doing the Top Ten or alternating depending on the topic. I will be doing the Binge Watchers every other Wednesday and My TBR List will not change. Her Sunday post will be Saturday’s after 5 pm est and Mine will be 5am on Sunday. All other days will be a mix of us and we will fill in and mix things up once in a while. It’s a match made in heaven, really! This brings such a mix to the blog and I feel like the content will be 100x better than it was. I want her to feel at home here and I want her to bring what made Fantasy is More Fun so Β awesome right here on OUR blog. I think it will be so awesome to have the posts she shared there, here. I want her to be able to just be her and do her thing. I have given her a lot of flexibility and you know I don’t like doing things by the book so it will be great to see what we both come up with. All our challenges, 2017HW, AuthorLuv, Can you read a Series and we have another one I can’t remember what it is….anyway…it will all be right here, you never know, we might come up with some more! πŸ˜‰ So stop by her Sunday Post and welcome her to the blog.

The week before was a crazy week for me going back and forth to the shore. On Sunday we came home from our mini vacation. My daughter was outside playing with her friend. I checked on her and she tells me she was bit by a dog. It just so happens to be a lady that lives 3 houses down that has a shitty little white poodle that poops all over the neighborhood because she never has it on a leash. We tell her all the time to put it on a leash but magically she doesn’t speak english (but she does) We have fought with her many times. Well the little shit dog bit my daughter. I thought my husband was going to do insane but instead I called the police. Thankfully the dog had its rabies shots and all its other shot but she needed to be on antibiotics any way just incase. The lady got a summons for not having a leashed dog, the dog not being registered (which is a big No, No) and the dog was quarantined for 10 days and must be on a leash at all time. My daughter is feeling much better now and the bit wasn’t that bad but I am just happy it didn’t make her scared of dogs (it didn’t make her a werewolf either, sort of a bummer) πŸ˜‰ Now we just need to make sure that my daughters insurance pays for her hospital visit or they will be paying it for us.

My Son started the Summer Program this week and my daughter got to enjoy her first Softball Camp (just not Thursday since it rained), it was hot, humid all week and rained on Friday. Over all the week was pretty good, we are looking forward to spend the weekend home. So it was basically (after Sunday) a normal week… πŸ˜€

  1. I think it’s awesome you adopted Berls, it sounds like a great solution for both of you :). I like how you adjusted your banner! And I hope you’ll be less stressed about blog content now that you have a co-blogger.

I am sorry to hear your daughter was bit by a dog. Bu that’s good it had at least gotten his rabbies shots.

I am looking forward to hear what you thought of Royally Screwed and the Supernatural Sleuthing Agency. The both sound good. Have a great week!

  2. So glad to see you guys co-blogging. Thanks for snagging our Berls so she doesn’t go away ( I too can’t imagine COYER without her). Glad you daughter is okay but slightly bummer about the werewolf thing πŸ™‚ Aren’t little dogs the worst sometimes? When I did investigations for Children Services, dogs were everywhere and I was never really afraid (heck, combined right now my two weight 230) but I did get bit twice and both times were by little yippy dogs. At least you can see big dogs coming. Another weird fact, I’ve been bit by spiders (and required medical attention) more times than I’ve been bit by dogs. Totally random fact about me. Hope you both have a great week!

  3. I’m so excited that you two teamed up! I think it’s awesome! Can we rewind and go back to June? PLEASE? I can’t believe the dog bit your kid! Given the backstory of this lady, it seems like she’s been served a hefty lesson. Stinks it was at your daughter’s expense, though. I hope you guys have a great week!

  4. Congratulations on adopting Berls lol. You both have busy lives so I think this is a great idea. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings on here. Sorry to hear about your daughter getting bit. I hope that woman gets a big fine. I hope you have a great week!!

  5. Congrats on your co-blogger. I am so glad you guys were able to find a way to make it work. Sorry about your daughter’s dog bite. That is terrible. Glad she is okay though. And I am glad the dog owner was held responsible.
    Enjoy your week!

    • Thanks, we are very happy with the decision we made. It is already feeling awesome having her here.
She is doing much better and isn’t scared of dogs which is what I was worried about but she is a tough little girl. Lets hope the owner actually listens, I haven’t seen the dog yet so I guess we will see.

  8. Sorry to hear about the dog bite! I love dogs but I don’t understand why someone would let their dog run free like that. Urgh so dumb. Hopefully she learned her lesson losing the dog for 10 days.

    “magically doesn’t speak english” lol

Hope the week is not as humid! Wehad pretty nice weather last week, it wasn’t too bad humidity- wise for mid July. I’m loving it!

  9. LOL I have to tease you because you seem to have lost a month. It’s July sweetie, not June πŸ˜‰ Though I wish it was June, I’d be so ahead for summer!!! I agree, I think this is going to be great sharing the blogging duties and having such a big mix of reviews. While it’s on my mind, were you able to work on that logo? Talk soon πŸ™‚

Tell Julia I’m very disappointed she’s not a werewolf. Is she sure? Have we had a full moon?
