Blogging, Bookish and Real Life News:
This week was rather cold but I loved it. Saturday it rained all day and this coming week it’s suppose to be a mild week, hoping not to cold on halloween. Both of my kids don’t want to do trick or treating which makes me sad but that means I can stay home and watch Christmas Movies Scary Halloween Movies 😉
On Friday my daughter’s school had a trunk or treat. If you don’t know what that is, the kids trick or treat by coming to your car that is all decorated. It was fun and our car looked super cute. ☺️
We had little mini lights and lanterns to light up the car when it got dark. They had a lot of kids and I went through three huge bags of candy. I think over 250 in each bag and I gave one candy to each kid. It was my first time doing it and I am hoping to do it again next year.
Last week the kids at her school were given pumpkin to paint for a painting contest that a local funeral home hosts. The pumpkins are voted on and the kids can win a gift card. Out of 40 kids in the 5th grade my daughter WON THIRD PLACE! I was so excited for her and she got a $20 Gift Card to Target!
I finished Sky in the Deep this week and it turned out to be a pretty good book, I wasn’t sure the first 50% but I am glad I stuck around because the last 50 was pretty awesome. Now I need some more YA Viking stories to read because those are a lot of fun. I am going to read a quick book this week and then start on my books for Can you read a series in a Month Challenge. I originally wanted to read the Harem of Hearts series but the last book wasn’t out yet and I wasn’t sure if she would be finished in time. Well the book came out Monday and I quickly switched the series I wanted to read for the challenge. I read the first book already but have no problem reading it again before getting into the rest of the series. The second book is a monster but I am looking forward to reading this epic series because OMG Allison (Alice) and NINE, yes NINE hot guys in her harem! I can’t wait! ☺️
Blogging is going pretty good, I was able to do a few things on Saturday and hoping to finish up some stuff after my daughters game today. I wont be able to visit until later tonight since I wont be around in the AM. Her game is at 10:30 and we have to be there 45 Minutes early, probably be taking a trip to Dunkin Donuts for a very large coffee before the game. I am hoping it isn’t too cold.

What I grabbed
The last few months I grabbed a lot of anthologies that I have been dying to read, so far I haven’t read any of them.I feel like I need to make a challenge that forces people to finally read those anthologies that are sitting on their kindles….don’t steal my idea! Oh No! Look for something next year because I GOT AN IDEA!!! 😳
Totally Random:
So tell me what have you been reading and up to this week?
Hope you all have a fantastic week!!!
Happy Reading

Oh man I have so many anthologies that I grab and then either never read or only read 1 story in them. I would love it if you made a challenge. Hopefully you didn’t freeze at the game this morning!
I love going out trick or treating (well not me, but you know, the kids lol) but staying home and watching movies and just answering the door sounds pretty good too! Hope you have a great night. 🙂
Trunk or Treat looks fun. And yeah I need more YA Vikings too!
Your trunk for the Trunk or Treat looks fun. This is what our community does now rather than door to door trick or treating.
I want to read Sky in the Deep eventually. I just read Born of Illusion for the Spooky Reads so now I’m in the mood for YA historical magic performers. 🙂
I’m ready to go for Series in a Month and look forward to your antho idea because I have the same problem. 🙂
Have a good week, Michelle!
Congratulations to your daughter and to you for doing so well with blogging! It seems that you had a lot of fun ;-)))
Ok, so thanks to you I know now what Trunk or Treat is. I saw it advertised in our area and just assumed it was some kind of tailgate adult halloween party..lol We never had this when my kids were young.
They are a lot of fun, I wish the town would do a town wide one at the HS. It would be so nice to have a fun trunk or treat and food trucks and events for the kids. Safe way to get candy. They didn’t have them for us either when we were younger but it’s fun as a mom to decorate the car. My daughter loved it.
Oh I forgot to tell you and not sure if you knew but I think someone said there is going to be a companion book to Sky in the Deep so maybe more Vikings will be happening! 🙂 Your daughter did really great with her pumpkin and your car looks awesome! Our church is doing a trunk or treat and it’s supposed to rain here on Halloween so I hope it doesn’t, they have all sorts of cool things set up for it.
Have a great week!

I also found another one that I will have for a waiting on Wednesday post. It’s also Viking and looks really good.
Thank you, she did a good job and the trunk or treat was fun. I hope it doesn’t rain, my daughter isn’t feeling well so I’m hoping she isn’t sick for Halloween.
