Week in READ-view is a post I have posted every Sunday telling what have I been up to during the week and I thought it would be great to link it with The Sunday Post….The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

So I had a pretty good week and I am feeling a bit back too normal. Yay 🙂

Here book Sing Sweet Nightingale comes out soon
It looks amazing I can’t wait.
Beautiful isn’t it? She made it for me because I won at a Spencer Hill twitter party.
I also won a book but I haven’t gotten it yet.

I can’t believe COYER sign ups start on MONDAY! Had so much fun last time, really looking forward to reading a lot more this time.

My 1 year Blog Birthday is on Feb 1st and I am going to have a HUGE giveaway. I bunch of awesome authors donated some great books. You can see the post on my FB page. Can’t wait for it to start. I am hoping to get a big turn out for it. (fingers crossed)

What else is going on?

On Saturday our cat Buttons was having an issue with her eye, When she was a kitten we found out she has Herpes (not hooker herpes, more like cat herpes and no, she’s not a cat hooker 😉 we aren’t sure how she got it, we found her outside when she was a kitten and we know her parents and grandparents but only know her mom doesn’t have it so we don’t know)

Anyway….

Before she turned a year we had to give her meds and make sure she didn’t go blind before her first birthday. It was in both eyes, it was so sad but mission accomplished she got all better before her birthday. YAY!!! and she can still see 🙂 Now 10 years later it’s back in one of her eyes, medicine has come a long way since then so we don’t have to torture her like we did last time. At the moment she has that cone that she hates and I’m pretty sure she hates us as well. Happily it is starting to look better so she might not hate us much longer. She is looking less uncomfortable but still like a satellite dish. We are getting great reception on the TV 😉 (It’s ok she wont know I said that she can’t read or at least I don’t think she can)

We have a busy Sunday with a baby shower and a party for one of my daughter’s friends at a bounce place that’s probably filled with winter germs and I’ll be posting next week how I have a cold from children germs (cross your fingers and pray for me, please lol) going to need a lot of hand sanitizer and Lysol.

So tell me what have you been reading and up to this week?
Let’s Chat…
Hope you all have a fantastic week!!!
Happy Reading

  1. I'm going to send you a box of handi-wipes and lysol spray. Between cat herpes and bounce house germs… ugh, I can't think about it. Just kidding… well, the bounce house does sound gross right now but what are you going to do??? I totally understand about Buttons. It's just a form of chicken pox anyways. People freak out so easily, righ?!?! I hope Buttons feels better soon!!

  2. The Murder Complex and Camelot Burning both look good. Adding a little steampunk element to an Arthurian story is an interesting touch. I read your PODS review and that looks pretty intense, I like post- apoc survival stories sometimes so I may have to check that out.

Hope your cat is feeling back to normal soon. I can relate to the germ thing, we met another couple recently and they

    • I LOVED the idea of a steampunk Arthurian world/story. I could not resist hitting request, How different is that. I can't wait to read it.

PODs was interesting and I heard she is almost done with book two. It really good it was my first apocolyptic book. (totally spelled that wrong lol)

My buttons is feeling a bit better today we took the collar off so we are hoping she

  3. I can never resist NG and EW either but I'm trying hard. And right now I'm not signed up for any blog tours either and the plan is to keep it that way unless it's a book that really calls my name.
Poor Buttons, hope the meds work again for her.
Love the look of The Murder Complex, it's chilling!

    • Thank you she seems a lot better today 🙂

The murder complex I have been eyeing for some time and just had to do it. I would of regretted not getting it.

  4. Glad to hear you had a good book and blog week :).
It's so difficult to stay off Netgalley sometimes, I am trying to not request that many books from there anymore as my to-read list and my review pile is big enough already.

I had my first blog birthday in december, reaching that first year mark feels so amazing!

    • it can't believe it's a year, I feel so proud of myself for sticking with it. I tend to give up on things but I love doing this. Happy Blog Birthday to you too 🙂

  5. I've been seeing Eversea around A LOT lately. Glad to hear your kitty's eyes are looking better. I bet having that cone on her is torture. Bless her!
