Books and Blogging
VERY slow week, I didn’t mean it to be but with school almost ending and the holidays right around the corner (10 days) just didn’t sign up for a lot of stuff this week I guess. Next week however I do have a few things coming up and two reviews.
That should be all until next year….maybe, unless I get a lot of time over the holiday week I might be able to squeeze one more in. I only need one more to complete my Goodreads goal of 65 this year. I know people read a lot more but I am very proud of myself…I want to read 100 next year!

What else has been going on?
It’s been a crazy weather week in NJ. Tuesday we had a snowstorm that turned to an ice event later in the night. The roads were very slippery so it was nice to be inside with the kids catching up on all my reading. I was FINALLY able to wrap all the kids gifts on Friday while they were at school. Really think Santa didn’t pay close attention to what he bought because that was a little bit more then I realized LOL oops….
Every year my mom baked a mountain of cookies from cutout, to press cookies, Biscotti, Pecan Balls, Chocolate Chips, Peanut Butter Cookies and more. It’s one of my favorite things to do and we have been doing it since I was little. My grandmother use to come over and help and now my kids come over to help me help my mom. We were suppose to do it on Saturday but because of the impending snow storm my mom asked if we could come by Friday to help her, so I had all day Saturday to make my own cookies.
My daughter helped me bake we had so much fun. I also realized you need to turn the oven on if you want the cookies to bake LOL. Took me about 20minutes before I realized I had turned off the stove before I finished the last batch of cookies 🙂
This morning we went to the Rainforest Cafe. If you don’t know what it is it’s a theme restaurant. It’s like eating in the jungle its very noise and they have giant movable animals. Once in a while all the animals start chattering at one time and you are in the middle of a thunderstorm. It really cool and my kids LOVE it. We went for Breakfast with Santa and you can even see Santa swimming in the giant fish tank (however he didn’t do it this time).
Wow!! Loads of awesome books! hope you enjoy them!
Thanx for visiting My Weekly Wrap-Up!

I love pizzelle! I just had some on Friday.
Rose and The Suitcase of Stars looks so cute! Hope you enjoy all your new books! And those yummy baking! Vanilla almond… yum! Have an awesome week!
Here's my Sunday Post & STS (:
I can't wait to hear what you think of Sea of Shadows, I really want to know if it's as good as Kelley her other series!
Those cookies look delicious! I love cookies, I like other sweets as well, but there is just something about cookies that make me prefer them above other things.
I also participated in the Storm Warning teaser blitz, I really liked it as it was slightly
I'm not a sweets person but I agree there is something about cookies. I can always make room for them 🙂
I am so excited to read Sea of Shadow I keep wanting to move it up but I have to finish Powered first (which I have also been dying to read)
Storm Warning was different kind of blitz it also picked it for that reason 🙂
It's funny that you posted the pizzelle. I was actually thinking about them last night. They are amazing but I've never made them before. I don't think we'll be making cookies this year.
I got the machine to make them last year and instantly feel in love with them. They are so delicious, I love the almond but the vanilla almond is now my new favorite 🙂
The Forbidden Library looks like a good one. Cookies and books go very well together. Another good thing about this time of year. 🙂
My kids love the Rainforest Cafe, so we enjoy going there too
yes books and cookies go very well together with a cup of coffee….It can get very dangerous 🙂
When we go to florida they have a HUGE Rainforest Cafe but they also have the Dino Cafe. That one is amazing and the food is just as good 🙂
I love the covers of Rose and the Stairs one, yum cookies!!! I will be baking next weekend, I learned to wait to the weekend before since too many times peeps ate all the cookies before Christmas. I even tried freezing them, but someone ate an awful lot of frozen cookies!
LOL I never tried freezing them I might have to do that if they are still around after this week 🙂
