Week in READ-view & The Sunday Post

WIR vectorstock_43821-1-1Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Blog News:

This Saturday is the start of COYER! Yay! I started to organize what I plan to read with the list I can up with from the starter post I made and then I got overwhelmed and had to stop LOL. I have so many books I want to read I will try again this week 🙂 My plan was to make a tab at the top of the page with the updated books I plan to read, I still want to do that but I also might do a post on Saturday just to kick off what I plan to read.

I am writing this post rather late since this morning I was locked out of my blog because the WP Better Security figured I spend too much time blogging and locked me out :). Apparently it had an error and went completely mental on me and locked me and anyone else who tried to log in out. Thank you so much to Kim for trying to help me. That poor guy at the apple store must have thought I was insane when I laughed out loud in his face at what she changed my password to K!m!sTh3B3st! (this is not my password anymore even though she really is) but because of the error even changing the password didn’t help and he had to delete a plugin to get it to come back up and install a new one to help so it wont happen again. I was in full panic attack mode but my host server guy fixed it (he’s awesome) and it’s all better now! Yay!!!

20935599I found out this has a novella before it so I will be getting and reading that one before I start reading this. I hope to read this one soon, most likely during coyer 🙂

What else is going on?

It’s Father’s Day so HAPPY FATHER’S DAY to all the awesome dads I hope you have a great day! Today is a Man meal at my house, my parents, sister, nephew and my husband’s family is coming over to eat. Every father’s day I always have everyone over to have man food. I am making Homemade Chicken Pot Pie, Pulled Pork and Homemade Cole Slaw and Cheesesteak Peppers (they are peppers stuffed with roast beef, onions and topped with mozzarella then cooked so it’s a cheese steak inside a pepper without the bread, so yummy) Plus a few sides and some yummy desserts. I love cooking and I love having everyone over! Wish I had a bigger house to entertain more, it’s one of my favorite things to do, besides reading 🙂

If you get a chance I have two giveaways going on my blog at the moment and I would be ever so grateful if you could either enter or just share them for me. The one I posted on Saturday has low entries. Any sharing or entering would be most appreciated 🙂

    • Woman are more then welcome to enjoy it as well 🙂 I usually don’t review erotic type books since my blog because it’s family friendly but I do like to read them on my own 🙂 Might start up a Because reading after dark for the sexier reads 😉

  1. How scary to be locked out of your blog! Glad it got fixed and I love the password! Your dinner sounds amazing. I love the stuffed pepper ideas and anything involving yummy desserts is always a win! I’m so excited for COYER. I’m definitely working on my list.

Oh, the man food sounds yummy! Lucky men 🙂

Gah, I can only imagine your panic at being locked out of your blog. Eeeep. I’m glad it’s all fixed now.

Some of your book covers got chopped off and I can’t see the title or cover but I hope you enjoy them!

    • I put the covers in thumbnail view and forgot to put the caption on them with the title of the book lol I realized that this morning and didn’t have time to fix it 🙂

  3. LOL that password really was awesome wasn’t it?!? I even got into your blog for like a whole minute! too bad I didn’t delete that stupid plugin right then and there!

Happy father’s day to Scott (and all the men coming over for that delicious meal! Gah, I’m so hungry now – I want those pepper thingies! Something tells me that if you lived near me I’d never stick to a diet 😉

    Talk soon!

    • I never stick to mine either, maybe I should start cooking healthy diet meals…..Nah!!! 🙂 I still laugh at it that poor guy was just staring at me. it was like I had ADD lol.

  4. The man food party sounds good, hope you guys have a great day! I think food and Father’s day go well together LOL. We’re going out to eat for my wife’s bday/ Father’s Day- although we have no idea where we’re going yet! Looks like it will be a last minute decision… 🙂

The Vault of dreamers sounds very interesting- and looking forward to COYER! Have a great week…

    • a friend of mine took the recipe for his Deli and named the dish after me lol I was honored and thought it was hilarious that people had to ask for Parsons Cheesesteak Peppers 🙂

I am just a bad influence but I hope you get it. It really looks like a great read 🙂

  5. Just bought Sexy and funny thanks to you ! I understand your panick with the blog, glad it’s all solved. I hate cooking for a bunch of people (4 is quite enough already !) but… I love eating lol ! Have a great week 😉

    • I am happy to help fill your TBR list with new books 🙂 I enjoy eating as well which is my problem, I enjoy cooking and eating it.

  6. That sounds so scray being locked out of your blog! I am awlays afraid something goes wrong with my blog or Lola’s Blog Tours site, I am sure I would be panicking if something like that happened.

I actually don’t like cooking for big groups of people, i am always afraid something goes wrong or it isn’t to someone’s taste. I prefer to cook for only me and my boyfriend. But I also hate cooking for myself when I am home alone and usually make something simple like soup or pizza.

And I realized I still haven’t signed-up for Coyer yet, I plan on making my sign-up post somewhere this week. There are some books I really want to read this summer and it might help to make a list of them.

Lola recently posted: Sunday Post #78
    • That is my hardest part of COYER is making the list to read but I need to get through 2 books before I start the coyer reading and I am WAY behind because I waited to long to bail on my last read.

I get nervous cooking for people but I tend to try it on the family first a few times before releasing it to the rest of the family 🙂 they are my taste testers lol

OMG I wanted to cry when it locked. Thank god my Server host is awesome he totally fixed and did it rather quickly.

      • I just made my Coyer sign-up post, it will go live tomorrow. It was hard to make a list and not to include too many books, because when I go through my to-read list I am all like “oh I want to read this one” and that with almost every book I encounter. I managed to only list 7 books, because I know that if I plan more then that I am not going to read them.

That’s a smart idea to test recipes on your family first :).

So far the worst thing that happened to my sites where the hack attempts, I still get the occasional hack attempts days (like today, grr) and I always feel a bit nervous someone actually will manage to get into my site.

        • Did you see my starter post? Maybe you can do something like I did. I plan to go back and add the books I want to read but I have a general idea of where I want them to come from. BEA killed me with all the books I got, really didn’t think of all the awesome books until I got there lol. Just made my list a lot longer!!!

  7. Nice! Seeing lots of Vault of Dreamers this week! Can’t make up my mind on it at the moment! Hope you enjoy all you reads!

Comment box doesn’t seem to like my url links, so stop by my STS post if you can!
