In Real life:
I have been MIA all week and I thank you all for coming to visit me. I was able to finally comment back to most of you on Friday. Not only was the week extremely busy but work was a little crazy too. We are slow again and apparently that is our fault so we all walk on pins and needles while my boss is grumpy. My sons at home therapy has come to an end but the little girl is now in full Softball mode and her coaches (scot being one) want the girls to have at least 2 practices a week. I think that is good for the girls since most have never played before. Opening day for Softball was Saturday but we got a LOT of rain this week and the fields are not ready to be played on but all of her games are during the week. Which in a way frees up the weekend but makes one night a week a very late night. It’s going to be crazy for the next 2 months but with therapy over it shouldn’t be too bad…I hope.
I am hoping this week was going to be a little calmer but then I realized next Sunday is Easter. So there goes that thought. I now have to figure out what to make for Easter Dinner since I am hosting and the Easter Bunny needs to find a day to finish up his shopping, which will probably be today since it’s the only free day I will have to accomplish that task. So it might be ONE more week of me being MIA but the blog will be filled with fun stuff and I will comment back when I can. Thank you all for your patience. I am glad this is just a busy Real Life and not a life slump! I am still feeling awesome about blogging…see below!
On the blog:
Like I said above, no blogging slump here just a super busy Real life and I am in such a great blogging mood. I am not ahead like I would like about a week but if I can organize the week better I might be able to get a chunk of stuff done on the weekends once Easter is over. I am so looking forward to all I have planned. I thought of more stuff…I’m on a ROLL!!!!
What I’m Watching:
I watched a Christmas movie on Friday! Hallmark had a favorite Christmas movie in brackets like March Madness and the winner was played on Friday than I spent the rest of the weekend watching Spring Fling hallmark movies. Sorry about your grumpy boss, but I’m glad you’re just busy (busy is good sometimes!) and not going through any sort of slump 🙂 And the softball sounds like it’ll be great for your daughter! And I love how excited you are about the Christmas movies lol. Have a great week!
You are going to be busy but some of it sounds fun. Hopefully the weather will cooperate for your daughters games. She looks so cute in her uniform. I hope she has a great time! It’s great you are feeling good about blogging. I was in a slump and it was because work was stressful. I feel better now that I had my vacation lol. I hope you have a great week and I can’t wait to see what you do next on the blog!
It sucks that the fields were rained out on opening day. Two practices a week is pretty standard. I played softball all the way up through Little League and then walked on a select team. For LL, most of our games were during the week, so we’d have weekday practices and Saturday morning practices. Once I went select, our team was so spread geographically that we could only meet one day, so we did 4 hour Sunday practices. I hope she and Scot both have fun! I also hadn’t really realized that Easter is upon us. I did not plan for that in my bullet journal. :/ I also understand the tiptoe business at work. That’s how I feel right now. The constant criticism and complaints of “Those scores just aren’t where they need to be” does not make me want to stay. I hope that this week is better than last week and things improve at work. I sometimes wonder if our bosses realize how negative and poisoning their attitude and words are.
It has rained so much I just hope it stays nice so they can start having games. They don’t even make up the games sometimes and it’s not a long season so I hope the field stays nice.
I was kind of shocked about Easter but I do love it. especially cooking, I make a lot of yummy food. 🙂 lol
Exactly and i don’t think they realize they are doing it. My boss is very negative. For every 10 things you do you mess up on 1 that is what he focuses on. It is probably why I have no confidence in myself, I have been dealing with that for 16 years. I just don’t leave because the hours work with my kids schedule. It’s why I am working so hard to get my own business off the ground it’s just slow start but I am working on it! 🙂
You are a busy little bee, hope things go great with the ball games. 🙂 I was wondering why there was a Christmas movie on in April, I didn’t know they were playing the bracket favs. I know they always do them in July but not April I was confused…lol. Tonight is a new mystery on the Hallmark Movie and Mystery channel, so I can’t wait! 🙂
They did the bracket and I never voted but was happy with the winner. I now want to watch Christmas Movies but enjoying the Spring Fling Movies. I saw that one is going to be on. 🙂
I’ve been hearing about Vicar’s Daughter everywhere and many seem to love it. I’m curious. Looking forward to your review. Have a great week, Michelle. 😀
The Review was up this week on Thursday. It was a great book extremely well done. I love my steamy books but clean reads have so much character and relationship build I am loving it!
My oh my, you have been busy and still are. Looks like some great books for when you have that down time though:) I had to look at the calendar. Surely it wasn’t time for Easter already? LOL
That is what I thought and was like OMG i need to finish. The Easter bunny is done I think but now I have a dinner to plan. Going to get it organized today with the softball schedule I think I need to change my days of doing things. 🙂
Whew, you have been busy! This week is going to be crazy-busy for me, too, so I sympathize. At least I’m not hosting Easter dinner. We were going to, but the couple we invited decided they’d rather do what they’ve done the last few years, and go out to a nearby historic home that has a restaurant, and they invited us to go along. So we’re all going out. 🙂
Oh that sounds awesome, I would love to do a historic home for dinner. We used to go to a historic house for Thanksgiving when I was little. I remember they had a room full of taxidermy animals. It was weird but I loved it. Plus they had a field of Turkeys in the back of the house. I really need to ask my mom about it. I don’t think it is there any more.
That place sounds interesting! We’re going to Stratford Hall, the birthplace of Robert E. Lee. It’s in the next county over. There’s an inn and dining room on the grounds (not actually in the pre-Revolution house.) One of these days I will actually go tour the house, but I don’t think it’s open on Easter.
Oh I loved Royally Screwed and am so excited they are making it into a movie!!!! Hopefully you are able to get everything accomplished before Easter 🙂
Have a great week!
I SAW THAT! I am going to read that one soon because I want to read all the others.
I hope so too, Easter is actually my favorite holiday to cook for. I think I enjoy making the Easter Pies the most.
Sounds like you had a busy week! It sounds nice your son’s at home therapy is over, I hope it was helpful. And I hope your daughter enjoys softball. We had lots of sun this week, but I think we’re getting some rain next week. That is good to hear you’re not having a blogging slump. I can relate to the being so busy you have little time for your blog thing as that feels like how my whole year has been so far, but I sort of found a way to balance it all.
Looks like you had a good reading week! I only read one book this week, but at least it was a good one. I considered getting Royally Screwed as it sounds good. have a great week!
I am happy the therapy is over and it did help him a lot. The big thing was the medicine, I think it was causing him to be angry so taking him off that helped.
I hope she does too, my husband is her coach so I am glad they are doing something together.
Awesome that you found a balance, I am working on it. I will figure it out once I see how this week goes. It might not be as bad as I am thinking in my head lol
I have been DYING for Royally Screwed so happy it was 99. I had to grab it.
You sound busy, hope the week ahead is good. Easter next Sunday? Gack that crept up on me. It rained a lot here and everything is either flooded or really wet- but it was nice today!
Christmas in July? I don’t know, but there are some Christmas movies I like. I can see it. 🙂
Thanks Greg! I know can you believe it?? I feels like this year needs to slow down just a little. I didn’t realize how quickly it is coming up on us.
It rained a lot here also, I am hoping this week will be nice, the kids are getting bored being stuck inside. 🙂
I love all Christmas Movies! 🙂
