WIR vectorstock_43821-1-1Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Itโ€™s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Real Life & Blog News:

This week was a quiet week…WHAT! Can I actually say it was a quiet week and things have started to settle down a little….well just a little but I feel like all the changes are starting to become our NEW normal and it’s not that bad.

COYER’s First read-a-thon was this weekend, The theme was Fun in the Sun, I didn’t have a lot of beach themed book so the one I had Rough Waters by Nikki Godwin is super cute and I am going to assume that by the time this post goes live I will have finished it. Next weeks Theme is Fairy Tales with a Twist you don’t have to be a part of COYER to join the Read-A-Thons, anyone can enter and you can win some awesome swag ๐Ÿ™‚

My TBR List Post for JULY has 3 more books to choose from so stop by to Vote on which one you think I should read next ๐Ÿ™‚ You can find the post HERE. After last Months DNF I am hoping this one will be a better read. So excited to see what is picked!!!

To all my American Friends I hope you had a Great 4th of July with lots of Hamburgers, Hot Dogs and Pounds of Potato Salad….Sad to be heading home from the shore today but we will be back again next weekend ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. I love the cover of Lockwood & Co. Can’t wait to see what you think of it.

Glad things are finally settling down for you and getting back to normal.

I have really been slacking on the COYER challenge but I am hoping to go through and catch up this week.

Wishing you a fantastic week with loads of great books to read. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Lockwood & Co is a really great series. Actually loving this book.
That’s whats good about COYER this time you have till September, I have been a little slow reading but I hope to get faster as the weeks go on.
      Enjoy your week Ginny!!!!

  2. I love the look of The Map to Everywhere. I’ve enjoying middle grade adventure lately and this looks fun. Glad life is starting to settle down a bit. It’s always nice to get to the current version of normal after upheaval! I’ve got 2 books done with the read-a-thon and hope to make some progress on a 3rd. The next one will be a little harder for me. Not sure if I have any books that qualify but I’ll have to do some looking around. Have a great week!

  5. The Map to everywhere looks super cute! I read 2 books for the read-a-thon this weekend. I was hoping to get a third one in but I had a book that I needed to read for a blog tour so I didn’t get to my third summer themed book but thats ok because I LOVED the two summer books I did read.

    Happy Reading!

    • I love middle grade books and The Title and Cover got me before I even read the synopsis.
I read on for the Read a thon. I’m starting to realize I am a really slow reader lol. 2 books is great and I am so glad you enjoyed them. I look forward to read the reviews (I plan to do catch up this week on coyer reviews)

Have a great week Michelle ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. I am glad to hear your life is settling down a bit :). I did my first Coyer progress post yesterday and I am glad with how I am doing so far.

I’ve been seeing books form Nikki Godwin pop up more often on blogs, I might have to try one of her books, they sound like fun reads!

    • If you read one read American Girl on Saturn, that one is my favorite. I am reading Rough Waters at the moment it’s the second book in the Drenaline Surf Series. Its really cute just a lot going on it gets confusing. I read your post for COYER. I think I commented I don’t remember Lol. I plan to go stop by blogs for COYER this week now that our routine is better.

  7. I really hope you’ll read Chasing the Star Garden. I have got it on my Kindle too and I’m planing to read it soon. I’m really glad you’ve got a nice and quiet week. We all need that ๐Ÿ™‚ Great post ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. First of all, I LOVE your blog ๐Ÿ™‚ Everything from the name to your layout rocks! I’m glad your life is settling down. I seem to be having the opposite thing happening. I am so busy, it’s insane!

The Assassin’s Blade… hmm… I read the first book in that series. And the novellas before. I loved the writing and the story, but it broke me up inside too. I ended up not finishing the series. It was just too much :/

Anyways, I hope your next week goes by smoothly and happy reading!
