4th of July & an Unplanned Mini Vacation~ WIR & SP

Posted July 9, 2017 by Michelle in The Sunday Post, WIReadview / 15 Comments

I skipped out on last weeks update because I decided on an unplanned mini vacation. It wasn’t an actual vacation like I went some place. The kids stayed at the shore house with my parents and we drove back and forth, for work. Wednesday and Thursday, My husband and I were home so we got to spend some time together and go out to dinner. ย This weekend coming up we are staying home since I think I am tired of driving back and forth and it will be nice to actually get stuff done in the house.

You know what else starts tomorrow? CHRISTMAS IN JULY ON THE HALLMARK CHANNEL!!!! ย I’m so excited and I plan to watch all the Christmas movies!!!! ๐Ÿ™‚ I also need to finish Once Upon a Time so I am hoping to squeeze that last few episodes of that into the week also.ย

The weather has been super weird this week, sort of hot but never really getting out of the 80’s. Still hot but not like it usually is, I might be ok with that as long as the fall/winter isn’t hot.

Working on lots of design work or actually lots of planning. I have some major changes coming to Limabean Designs, just need to make sure my confidence doesn’t get in the way. I have been talking with two pretty awesome authors that are helping me sort some stuff out. I am hoping for all the changes to find finalized and ready to go by September. Also considering making some design changes on the LD website but I added some of the covers I recently created…have you seen them? I am very proud of how they came out and they are for one of our blogger friends (trips down imagination road) who is also an author. Fairytale series and looks sooooo good! I have a few more to make but I am loving how they all blend together with coloring. I am having so much fun creating them.

Like I mentions a few weeks ago the blog will be light during the summer, like 3 for 4 posts a week. I’m again, NOT slumping, just taking it easy in the summer. I have lots planned for the end of the year but a lighter summer is better since we are always back and forth to the shore. Plus I have so much stuff planned for this summer, I want to take the kids to a bunch of different place around. It’s fun to go away for a week someplace but it’s a lot more fun to take day trips.

GIVEAWAY!!!!

Also if you have a chance I have a GIVEAWAY going on right now on the blog! It’s for the Serafina Series! You must check it out and PLEASE enter or maybe share it!!! My giveaways always have such low entries and they are giving away a hardcover and cute earrings. You can find the post HERE!

  1. I love the book covers! They look gorgeous! A mini vacation sounds great and an unplanned one sounds even better. Curious to see what you thought of all 3 books you’ve read/are reading this week as they’re all on my radar. Emma Chase has been calling my name and I really want to give Serafina another try. I think I’d like it better in print. Have a great week!

  2. Ha, for me three or four blog posts a week is a lot! I’m lucky if I can manage two! ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Those covers look lovely!

  3. The book covers are amazing! I love how they coordinate so it’s clear they are from the same author and series. I’m also having a light schedule this summer. Your plans with the kids sound like fun. I hope you have a great week!

  4. Christmas in July sounds fun. The next four days are going to bonkers for me between client work, the Royals and preparing to leave. Maybe I will unplug and watch a few. I adore your book covers! I added the Librarian to my wishlist. Time travel is always fun. Hope you have a quieter week than today.

  5. Christmas in July?? ๐Ÿ™‚ Actually Christmas is fun anytime, so enjoy! Breaks are good, and so are mini- vacations.

Nice covers! Wow they look professional- you’re doing great work. That’s awesome that you and Laura are working together like that.

  6. Hallmark started running Christmas movies Friday evening. I wrote it on the calendar and recorded the two that aired. I’m watching the first one right now! Since I’ve learned how the use the DVR, you can bet I’ll be recording to watch later! Our weather has been too hot. Even going for 9pm walks has us out in 90 degree heat. Erg. Those covers looks awesome!!! I love the gold and the font. Whatever your plans for the LD website, you should plan it out how you want it and then just do it.

  7. I am so excited to see your book covers as they are just awesome. I am so glad that you are getting some advice about your LD design and hope things go great! I hope you enjoy The Supernormal Sleuthing Service cause I thought it was cute. ๐Ÿ™‚
