Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Itβs a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
Real Life & Blog News:
In all honestly I am a rather boring person when nothing exciting is going on. π
I can give a quick Ryan update, he is doing very good the meds seem to be working enough to make him my lovable Ryan. I was taking him to the outpatient clinic for his meds and to see a therapist but the clinic is shit and I hate the doctors so I have abandoned them and now seeing Ryan’s Psychiatric Nurse from the school again. I am very happy about this because she adores Ryan as much as we do and I feel more comfortable with her than the doctors that didn’t seem to care I was running out of meds and couldn’t fit me into their schedule. I am sorry I work I can’t keep taking off I already ran out of days. Plus it’s not a quick drive so I am looking for something a little closer to handle his therapies and other stuff he will need. So Ryan is doing very good still a few minor out bursts but nothing like it was and they are easier to handle. At the moment he is all about Origami and I am all about hoping he finds something else to do because all those papers all over my house is driving me CRAZY!!!!
In blogging news I suck, I have been so laid back I am pretty sure I can’t get up. I am starting to realize the more I don’t do the more I miss doing all the crazy stuff I was going. So I am reworking the App Reviews feature because those posts take FOREVER to set up and looking to find an easier way to do it but I have a bunch waiting to get done and I hope to have a few ready in a couple of weeks. I am also going to do some mini reviews from books that I read before the blog. I want to make sure I get them in the review index and I think even with just a few sentences about the book I can post and have them available to view. I have seen a few other bloggers do it and I think with some of the books I read before I started this I would love to be able to share them since some are really great books. I am also trying to come up with something for the last 3 months of the year that will be good my favorite holidays. Last year I did a Top Ten for October and I thought that was fun so I might do it again. I have a few general top tens I want to do that I hope to set up very soon as well. The reason for the lack of original post lately has been because of the real life issue you all know about (see paragraph above) with things calming down I feel like I am ready to jump back into doing fun and interesting posts along with the reviews, Sunday posts and My TBR list. On a very happy note I have been able to get back to visiting blogs and sharing posts again! YAY! The last couple of days I have visited some of my favorites and hope to at least do about 5 a day if I can. I missed all your posts and I am so happy to have some time to visit again!
It’s my favorite kind of Sunday night! WWE Battleground is on. I have someplace to go in the afternoon but I will be around to comment on all you awesome bloggers Sunday post. Plus today (Saturday) I am feeling my blogging MoJo kicking up into something awesome. I love this feeling.

How does your garden grow? I was suppose to do it this week but it keeps getting bigger and I can’t keep up but I have an update this week π
Books:
Read/Currently Reading/Next
Books I got this week:

So tell me what have you been reading and up to this week?
Hope you all have a fantastic week!!!
Happy Reading

Origami! I went through an origami phase in high school! I’m sure the paper and random flowers and birds drove my mom nuts! But it’s so fun! π
Oh you have given me high hope that it is just a phase lol flowers and birds would be nice but what he’s making is a mess π
I think your life is a bit more interesting than me..lol. I hope we both like 13 Days of Midnight! π
I hope we bother like it too!!!
lol if it is it’s not by much. π
I’m a bit all over the place with my blogging as well. One week I get a stack of posts done. The next week I can’t be bothered. I try to remind myself that I’m not getting paid and if real life gets in the way, then… that’s probably okay.
I try to remind myself that also but I always like to have visitors come to visit and I try to be as consistent as possible but I realize during the summer that is less likely to happen so I changed my plan to make sure I come up with ideas in the summer and tons of posts in the fall thru spring π
It’s good to hear that Ryan is doing well. You are not boring! I always liked your App and garden posts, they add a variety to your blog and you have fun doing them. But I can see how it takes a long time to write the posts. I like your new formats for your reviews and I’ve started to just list what I liked and didn’t like for a book. It’s faster and straight to the point. I hope you have a great week!!
Thank you. I was never sure if everyone liked the App reviews, I love doing them but they take a lot of work and if now one likes them I don’t want to waste time. BUT I do love doing them so I will π
Yes I love it, I still do standard reviews with no lists but it’s good to have variety but the list is my favorite format so far π
The Wrinkled Crown, now there’s an interesting title and cover. π
I’m so glad that Ryan is doing better and things are going well. It’s good that you all have connected with his school nurse. It’s important to have a medical professional you can trust.
Best of luck to you and your family and happy reading!
It’s different and I am enjoying it at the moment π
Thank you! The nurse is great and those people were just awful. I thought it would be a private office but this was just scary. LOL
Glad things are going well. I look forward to the return of App Reviews and I think your min- reviews sound good too. sometimes a short and sweet snippet is just fine, gives ya the gist of the book.
It does feel good to blog, doesn’t it? π Enjoy your Sunday night!
I love blogging and I love just talking about random stuff π It’s like therapy lol
The love the App Reviews and I feel so bad I haven’t done them in a while but if I can do all the ones I set up I should have a bunch to last the rest of the year.
I am happy to hear Ryan is doing well. Although that’s frustrating those doctor not havign time for you. That nurse form his school sounds like a nicer person. Oh and origami sounds fun, although I can imagine having paper everywhere can be frustrating.
I had a few busy weeks and am not ahead as much as I used to Ididn’t read as much and fell down from 35 to 25 scheduled posts, which is frustrating as now I am only ahead with Ramblings and Kitchen posts again, while I finally had a review buffer, but that’s gone now :(.
The Wrinkled Crown has such a pretty cover! I hope you’ll enjoy it! This is Where It Ends sound interesting, but I am not sure if I dare read it, as it also sound frightening. I think I can remember checking out this author, I think she’s a dutchie. Have a great week and enjoy your new books!
I need a bigger Buffer because I don’t have one, I leave for vacation next weekend and I have no posts ready for the week. Sort of in a panic lol. I hope to get my butt moving the next couple of days but with the kids home from school it’s just like a mad house. π
So happy to hear about Ryan! Yay! *bounces happily in chair* I love mini reviews. I say go for it! I may do some of those too. Maybe Mini Mondays (except for MPM of course lol) I need to get back to Time Turner Tuesdays. I can do books I read before I started blogging. I was doing them by rereading the books, but I just don’t have the time to fit those in anymore. Maybe I could make them a mini review and call them Mini Time Turners. lol Have a wonderful week, Michelle!
Thank you π
That is a super cute idea! You should start a meme and each week do a Mini Time Turner Tuesday for everyone that wants to share one old book they read before the blog or something they read and maybe just never reviewed. I have a bunch of books that I never reviewed and some while I had the blog. *slaps hand, bad blogger* this would also help people get the old reviews indexed onto there blog review index. This is why no one is allowed to throw ideas at me.
You are not boring, my friend! I’m glad Ryan is doing better and things are calming down some. My nephew got interested in origami and he got very good at it.
The Wrinkled Crown looks good and I’m sorry The Witch’s Boy didn’t work for you; it sounded interesting. And doesn’t it feel good to start getting your mojo back?!
Thank you! Guess with all the crazy the last few months things have now settled down its weird to have things normal lol
I hope he gets better at it because now it’s making me mental!
I was sad about the witch’s boy but ugh! The wrinkled crown does look good I’m excited for it!
Very happy to have my mojo back I’m hoping it lasts lol
I’m so glad Ryan is doing so much better and that you were able to get back with someone you feel comfortable with for help. The origami stuff would drive me nuts! First with all the bits of stuff everywhere and then just the idea of doing it. I tried origami but it and my brain did not get along! Have a great week!
Bits and bits and bits of stuff lol I find little cut papers everywhere. I’m happy he found a Hobbie just wish it wasn’t paper π
I am sure you could never be boring!
Origami! Wow! All that paper would make my tidy mind crazy but I am glad Ryan is good.
Hope you have good week and enjoy your new books!
LOL
Origami for a 10 year old isn’t the same as Origami that the ancient people did. This is more Papers all over the house, tape, glue, scissors and me crying on the inside π My Tidy Mind wants to run away from home! lol
I sometimes think I’m boring too. LOL I think it’s just our mood that make us feel that though:) Glad to hear Ryan is well. I too had to seek out new therapy for my son and found some wonderful people. Enjoy those new reads.
I just felt like the last couple of weeks has been so crazy that now it’s sort of normal and I am all boring lol π
I have a wonderful Psychiatric Nurse that is so loving to him and happy to have her back, now just need a therapy group or something that will help him socially.
You could NEVER be boring, Michelle!!
I’m glad Ryan is doing well, and that you were able to switch who he’s seeing as an outpatient, too.
Your new books look really good, I’m so curious about This is Where it Ends.
I hope you’ll have a fantastic week ahead, and happy reading π
LOL Thank you Lexxie π
I am very happy the other place was just weird and I just can’t go, I am NOT a fancy person but that place isn’t for us.
I couldn’t help but request This is Where it Ends, I have a feeling it is going to make me cry and worry about my kids.
