Real life:
Happy St. Patricks Day! We are planning to go over my moms house for some Corned Beef and Cabbage today. It’s sort of a family tradition, the first meal my husband (boyfriend at the time) had with my family was Corned Beef and Cabbage, that was 21 years ago. 🙂 We have a place the next town over that is an Irish Restaurant that makes really good corned beef and cabbage that I usually get when we go to sometimes but I always love having it at my moms house. 🙂
Of course the first time I go to the mall in years and it goes on fire….I thought that would be the next time I went to church. On Saturday, I went to the mall to get some stuff for my daughter for Florida and get her ears pierced, it was her second hole, and they closed half the mall because one of the stores had smoke. Thankfully we were able to finish our shopping but I realized that while the alarm was ringing, no one even seemed a little bit concerned, like no running or screaming, everyone just went about shopping. I guess some things are just more important. 😀 lol I did get a chance to look at the 15″ Macbook pro with Touch Pad and I am so IN LOVE! It might be a happy birthday to me in May! <3
We had a slight issue with my sons bus this week so Monday my dad will drive him until the school can figure it out, which I hope will be on Monday. He doesn’t get along with one of the other boys on the bus and they have been fighting a lot. So to keep try safe, I am having my dad drive him and hopefully we can work something out.
Blogging & Reading:
I didn’t do as much blogging as I would have liked this week and reading was a little less then normal. I am hoping to get some stuff done this morning and after we come home. I don’t have a lot of posts for this week but it is what it is.
What I am watching:
I started watching Pretty Little Liars and I think I might be hooked, I am hoping to spend most of today binge watching more episodes, I also love the theme song for it.
What I am playing:
Played a little Star Stable this week. They have a mission that you have to find 100 baby spiders. They are NOT easy to find. You need to listen for their little cries, I am not a fan of spiders but they sound and look so cute. Still not welcome in my house but in a game….I am ok with them 😉

Wow, busy week! I hope things work out with R’s bus. And I ‘m glad the mall fire wasn’t too serious.
Wow, look at all those lovely books! I am curious about Spellslinger as I have seen good reviews about it.
Have a great reading week!

Sounds like an eventful week. I hope things are calmer for you now. Enjoy those pretty new books!
I had my corned beef and cabbage yesterday. Neat how you have the story of your husband’s first meal with your family. Not as good as home-cooked, I’m sure, but decent. That is funny about the mall being on fire both times you’ve gone. Hope you can get to your posts the way you wish.
Gorgeous cover!
Have a great week, Michelle!
I love that cover – I remember wishing I had a book for it when you did it in you premades group! So glad someone is putting it to good use. Crazy about the mall, but too funny that people literally just keep shopping through an alarm. While panic wouldn’t be good, I’m pretty sure ignoring alarms is also not great :/
I hope things work out with Ryan – if it’s not one thing, its something else, right? I’m glad your dad is available to drive him in the meantime.
Enjoy PLL – I watched it when it first came out and really enjoyed the first few seasons. I reaches a point where it goes way downhill and I just bailed. But my brother and Zach stuck with it to hate-watch lol!
And guess what – I actually did some blogging! Yay! So we have more posts this week. Fingers crossed I can keep it up! {{HUGS}}
Haha, poor mall. My mom is making corned beef today, too! I don’t like it, but free food! I also grabbed When The Sky Fell On Splendor. It’s good so far. Have a great week!
LOL. That’s kind of hilarious that everyone kept shopping through the alarms. 🙂
What? Books aren’t nothing! Have a marvelous reading week!
That’s not what I meant. I got nothing meaning like to really talk about but I did get books. 🙂
Oh wow Michelle, great cover!!! You are gifted. And yes people and their priorities LOL But it was better than panick and everyone running and being trampled and crushed you know. Have a wonderful Sunday!
Love the cover! Its great! Hopefully the bus situation is resolved quickly. Trying to find alternative transportation is stressful. Have a good week!
It was pissing me off because the kid on the bus with him was bothering him, now my son is saying something about it and he is getting blamed. No one wants to hear that the other kid has started it. My son isn’t innocent at all but still something should have been done before it got to this point. I am hoping they are able to get it resolved by Monday.
It’s been so long since I’ve been at the mall that it may have burned down and I didn’t even know it! Glad you were out safely.
I love the look of Nightbooks. I must look for that one. I have a soft spot for anything about books.
I’ve taken the helm of one of our earliest book blogging memes, The Sunday Salon. I’d love to have you stop by my blog, Readerbuzz, and post a link to your blog. The Sunday Salon was created twelve years ago to encourage book conversations, and I hope to do the same by sharing links and visiting others’ blogs.
I can’t even remember the last time we went. It’s funny how I just don’t seem to need to go now with Amazon and online shopping
Nightbook is pretty good so far and creepy.
Wow. That’s intense! I don’t think I’ve ever been at a mall when something big like that was happening. I can totally see people not caring so much, though if it was confined to one area I suppose there would be no need to panic. I feel like there would be more glaring sirens and flashing lights if they needed people to evacuate.
Nice new reads too! They are all new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them all!
Here’s my STS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
They did have Alarms and flashing lights but I think if it was serious they would have announced it. It was just a lot of smoke from what I understood. I was just taken aback but they lack of peoples concern. I was like looking around wondering if we should leave.
I am looking forward to this weeks books! 🙂
The consort of secrets cover is awesome.
How long until Florida now? I love going on holiday there and everytime I see it mentioned I have these pangs of wanting to go back! I need to start planning the next trip… But starting the saving comes before the planning! lol
The book isn’t too bad and I am almost finished, the entire series has pretty cool looking covers.
I believe we go in about 5 weeks. We are planning to drive so that will be quite the adventure! 🙂 Saving always seems to be the hardest part.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!!! Enjoy! And yeah a fire at the mall? Pshhh. Don’t let that interfere with shopping, right lol?!?
I’m hoping When The Sun Fell On Splendor turns out to be good!
Have a great week Michelle!!!
It’s not like we ran out either, I needed to just get clothes for my daughter and no one seemed like it was a big deal. I suppose if it had flames we would have had to leave.
I am hoping it does too. It looks really good! 🙂
