WIR vectorstock_43821-1-1Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Itโ€™s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Real Life & Blog News:

Did you know Facebook has a Spam folder in the messages? I did not…I found it on friday and there was a message from Colleen Gleason saying I won an advanced copy of her book The Spiritglass Charade (Stoker and Holmes book 2) the date said MARCH. I wanted to cry, I couldn’t not believe I MISSED IT and it was a SIGNED BOOK!!!! I sent her a message back to apologize for never seeing it and explained that the original message she sent me went into my unknown spam folder. I was rather bummed until I got the message back from her saying she will send me the signed book I just need to send her my address. ****HAPPY DANCE ALL OVER THE HOUSE**** I can’t even explain how happy I was and how much I love authors. She totally didn’t have to send it to me, but I am so glad she is ๐Ÿ™‚

Did you see it? My To-Be Read List feature is now a MEME. It starts on September 6th and I hope that you will be able to join me. When I started the interactive feature I didn’t realize how much it was really helping me get to books I don’t think I would have ever gotten to. So if you are looking to get to those reads you haven’t had a chance to getting yet. Did you one click like crazy and now they just sit? Well come join me ๐Ÿ™‚ You can find all the detail HERE

I have 2 new features coming up in the coming months andย possibly a few more. I am super excited about them and started designing the logos for them. They should be a lot of fun and will introduce some new content to my blog as well as let you get to know me more and what I like besides reading (some new features don’t have anything to do with reading)

I am also working on Limabean Designs, my design company I want to start up. Most of the logos, headers, even some logos on Fantasy is more fun, all the COYER Read-a-thon logos and COYER logo were all designed by me ๐Ÿ™‚ I am going to take a leap and see about offering designs to my follow bloggers and cover designs to new authors. I haven’t worked out the details yet but if your interested or need anything please let me know, we can work something out ๐Ÿ™‚

At the moment I am enjoying my last weekend at the Jersey Shore for the summer….secretly I am over joyed because that means FALL IS COMING!!!! and as much as I like summer…well not really…I am a 100% fall girl

    • Yes I know ๐Ÿ™ I’ve been a graphic designer for 22 years. It very competitive but I think I’ll give it a shot ๐Ÿ™‚ love the cover of crown of ice just hope it’s good

  3. The little known Facebook ‘other’ folder. They don’t advertise it much. I missed an event a while back because I hadn’t noticed the little icon alerting me to the message. I check weekly now just in case. Enjoy your week!

  4. I’m so jealous of 2 weeks in a row with no new books! My willpower hasn’t been that great! I still have no idea where my Facebook Spam folder is. I’ve heard there is one but I’ve never looked. I probably should! Enjoy your new signed book! I like the clothes that come with fall but I think I’m the only person on earth who doesn’t like pumpkin. Pumpkin scented candles are fine but I don’t like the food. I so wish I did!

    • I know a lot of people that don’t like pumpkin so don’t worry your not the only one ๐Ÿ™‚

If you go in message on FB on the left side on the top it says more with an arrow you can find it in there. I was so bummed that I almost missed it. I am so happy she responded I think I would still be crying now Lol

  5. I once heard about the facebook spam folder, but have no idea where to find it. I always assumed most messages wouldn’t land there, but who knows. And that’s so awesome she still wanted to send you the signed books, that’s so nice of her!

I akready scheduled my first My To-Be Read meme post with the poll, I used surverymonkey like you recommended.

And I am so happy and excited you’re going to start your own design company. I’ve been thinking about getting new banners for the top of my posts, like review, cover reveal and about me. I like my current banners, but I want something new and I think i would prefer slightly longer banners then the ones I currently have. So maybe you can design those for me :).

I also love fall and I have bene pinning some pumpkin recipes on Pinterest already!

    • It was really nice of her to send it to me since it was such a late delay.

I can’t wait to see what you picked and vote on it ๐Ÿ™‚

I would be happy to help you with the banners!!! Let me know when you want to get started with it.

Lately I have been pinning like crazy, I am trying to find a few new recipes for the fall. Fall cooking is my favorite kind of cooking ๐Ÿ™‚

    • My main reason for liking e-books is I like to read in the bathroom at work Lol, I usally go in just to read and I’m sure they would think I was strange or know what I was doing if I brought a book with me ๐Ÿ™‚ If I am home I can do the Hard Cover. I love the feel of a real book!

  6. Bea

Pumpkin and spices, ick. Apart from those, I do like fall and I’m ready for it. ๐Ÿ™‚

I had no idea about the FB spam folder but that’s so awesome that Gleason is still sending you the book, good on her!

Enjoy the last weekend of summer and happy reading ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Oh you pumpkin haters…Fall isn’t fall without pumpkin ๐Ÿ˜‰ at least for me Lol
I think most people don’t know about it which stinks because you might miss out on something good!!!
      Have a great week Bea!

  7. The TBR List sounds like an awesome idea! I’ll have to join that one. Hopefully people give me suggestions. My blog is super small right now so I’ll have to rely on people outside of my followers as well.

Hopefully this week you can get more books! Happy reading ๐Ÿ™‚

    • All you have to do it pick the 3 books and if it works out the way I hope lol everyone that signs up will also stop by the blogs on the link to vote on each other ๐Ÿ™‚ I am not a huge blog either but I have a few really good friends that stop by to visit and I like to visit them ๐Ÿ™‚ This might be a good way to gain some followers

  8. I read the first Colleen Gleason book, it was good. Hope you enjoy the new one! I like the idea of your TBR meme, that sounds like fun. And congrats on starting your design business, I think that’s great. I think you’ll do well.

I’m looking forward to fall too, actually. Have a great long weekend.

  9. I love that you are coming up with so many ideas for your blog. I wish I could come up with a few. I feel like I have been on a idea burnout. Or an idea slump lately. I can’t even think of a dang discussion post!! LOL!

    • You have a lot of great stuff on your blog! It’s hard to come up with idea’s I really think most of mine are not that original and might have been done already but not by me. OMG I can’t think of a dicussion post to save my life Lol.
