Garden Grow

HOLY CRAP! I meant to do this post last week but my garden is growing so big I seriously can’t keep up and couldn’t finish this post until the day before it went live because I needed to take pictures. I have taken them 3 times and each time the garden is different. The beans are now over the shop when two weeks ago they were not even half way up the string. The tomatoes are blooming everywhere and I can’t pick them fast enough. The plants in the small boxes are dying because it has been do hot I can’t water it fast enough and this last week the weather is so hot that a lot of my leaves on my tomato plants are turning brown. I am trying to keep up but GOOD GRAVY! it’s totally out of control. The weeds? don’t get me started they have bloomed faster than I can pick them so I gave up. I picked a few tomatoes and made my tomatoes salad and totally forgot to take a picture, so next week I will post a recipe πŸ™‚

Now lets to get the pictures, I am only posting the ones I took yesterday since it’s seriously would be a ton of pictures so this is now how big my garden has grown. I plan at the end of the season to post all the full garden pictures so you can see the difference from start to finish πŸ™‚

    • It’s been so hot here the garden is getting brown. I hope while I’m away my friend will water it. Otherwise this feature will be over lol

  2. Omg, I’m totally jealous. Our stuff isn’t thriving and I think it’s because we just don’t get enough sun (we live in the woods). We’re trying to determine where the best place would be to take out a few trees and try again next year.

    • I get a LOT of sun in the worst part of the day so I need to make sure the garden is always watered otherwise things start during brown like the next day or sometimes by the end of the day. I think a place to sun shine in the early morning/early afternoon is best because once that sun gets hot everything starts to turn.

  3. Wow! This year my straight neck squash is making up for years of not doing anything but the odd thing is I have no zucchini! Weird how vegetables work. Looks like you have lots and lots of tasty stuff. My favorite is always the tomatoes.

    • One year my zucchini plant was HUGE and I was so excited and it all of a sudden died. I was like WHAT? No veggies nothing. I was so bummed. I planted patty pan squash this time around to see how they grow and I think I have one. πŸ™‚

I have a LOT of tomatoes, I can’t believe how many and not even sure what I will do with them all but they are so yummy!

  4. Your garden is doing so well. The weather this summer hasn’t been good for gardens in my area (cool and extremely rainy up until the past couple of weeks) so I’m having a bad year. My squash is already dead and I pulled it up, one of my tomato plants has produced a total of ZERO tomatoes and has no blooms, and the rest aren’t producing very many either. I have had a few good peppers and a have a huge amount of basil though.

    • My basil and parsley dying but I think it’s just so hot and they are in little containers. It’s been a very weird weather year. I am happy with the tomatoes and pepper but the beans are huge just no beans. Lol

  5. So do the zucchini, the plant is huge. Cucumber tends to grab onto other plants so you need to give them a lot of room. All my tomato plants are starting to fall over even with the cages around them. I can’t seem to pick it fast enough, it’s crazy.

  6. Wow, yours did so much better than mine, but it was a learning experience and next year I hope it will be better. I really did learn a lot of things like I need a arch or something for cucumbers to climb on cause them things spread out everywhere! lol.
