Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, post a recap of the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
On the Blog, Books & Real Life:
So this is just a quick update but I am home from Disney and very sad…I wanted to stay longer but holy hell it was HOT. Not a fun hot…like, we have entered hell HOT. We did have a great time and it wasn’t as relaxing as I would have wanted but it was nice to be away with the family enjoying time together. I think next time we go I will do things a little differently and maybe go towards the end of august instead of the beginning. I was able to read a bit and feeling a little bloggy so I am hoping to spend a lot of tomorrow unpacking and getting some posts finished. I am also planning to put my feet up tomorrow since my ankle is causing me some pain and a bit swollen, not sure if its from walking on it so much or something else is going on. I will wait and see before rushing to the doctor. I plan to have a full post about my trip, I am hoping, this week. I also have a post I am planning on writing about Kids with Special needs at disney because I was unhappy this year with how they changed things and I feel like I need to share my experience to hopefully help others.

Happy Reading
Ya have to really love the heat to enjoy Florida in August…and I fit the bill. Sorry it was a bit too much for you. Ten jumped out at me and I am wondering if I have that book, or did I just want it. Have to check that out.
So glad you enjoyed your family time away from the normal routine and it was holy hell hot everywhere, so even if you’d been home it would’ve been hot. lol I’ve been to Disneyland and we’ve always wanted to take the kids to Disney World, but never had the money. And now they’re nearly grown. Oh, well. Can’t be helped. I grew up on a farm and never went anywhere fun like that because we couldn’t leave the animals. At least my kids have been to several zoos & aquariums, the beach and to Ohio each summer. That’s more stuff than I ever got to do as a kid. lol
Looking foward to your Disney post!
Hope your week is a good one! xo
I think my kids would even go as adults. It’s still a lot of fun. I used to go all the time with my parents.
I love doing stuff around, close to home. We have a great zoo very close to us and even NY which my daughter loves.
Sorry to hear your vacation was cut short but the heat is awful to handle. The weather is one of the things I am worried about if we go to DW. I hope your ankle is ok and hope you get some relaxing time this week. Have a great week Michelle!
I am glad you had a great time, even despite the heat., Michelle. Rest, rest, rest, and take care of yourself. Have a great week and I am glad you are safely home.
Yay, we both got Carver. I hope we like it. 🙂
I’m really looking forward to your post about DW…. are you sad to be home or are you sad b/c the trip was disappointing? I know we are never going back. I could see us doing Disneyland, but never, ever DW. No way, no how.
And what is up with all the creeptastic reads right now?!?!? Are you getting ready for Halloween 😀 Tee, hee!!!
Give your boy a hug from me, okay?? xoxoxoxo
We also made the same mistake of going to Corpus Christi and Houston in the heat of summer two weeks ago. We went to the Houston Zoo and came out about three hours later and I was so red and pooped that we didn’t follow the rest of our plans, we just went home. I hope your ankle is only swollen from the long days and walking, hopefully nothing more. Relax and take it as easy as possible.
Oh my gosh I can’t even imagine how hot Disney was! I have been in June and that was hot enough!! Glad y’all didn’t fry!
Enjoy your books and rest that ankle!
I hope your ankle feels better very soon. When sitting, make sure you have it elevated, which should help reduce the swelling if it caused by the heat and having been on it too much… A lovely place to go, though… I’ve always wanted to go to Disneyland in Paris but we haven’t managed it yet. Hope you don’t have to work too hard to catch up on your blogging and reading. Have a great week:)
I made the mistake of going to Sea World in the heat of summer. We didn’t do near as much as we wanted because of the heat. Hope your ankle feels better and it’s just from all the walking. And I’m drooling over your books. We seem to like the same kind of stories:)
I haven’t been to Disneyland in years….did you go to Disneyland or Disney World?
I never think of LA as that hot….compared to where I live, but I guess it’s all a matter of perspective. Glad you enjoyed it. Putting your feet up sounds good.
Enjoy your books…I’m curious about Ten. Have a great week!
I am glad to hear you had a fun time at Disney, I enjoyed seeing your updates and pictures on facebook. Although that’s a shame it’s was so hot. i don’t do well with heat and it can make things a bit less fun when it’s too warm. Vacations rarely seem to be as relaxing as you hope, but at least you got to spend some time with your family away from home. I am looking forward to your posts about Dinsey. I hope you’ll have a great week!
Welcome back to Mundania, I don’t know about you but I always hate leaving Disney! And yeah it’s hot there is summer… the last time I was there in summer I roasted. Can’t wait to see your post.
I liked TEN and The Trees crept in looks creepy and fun. 🙂
I totally get that you’re sad to be back home, but you have created memories with your family! New memories that will last forever, right?
I’m actually happy you’re back – even if you haven’t been completely gone from social media, I missed you. And I continue to miss your face, Michelle.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading and blogging xoxo
