Not a damn thing ~ WIR & TSP

WIR&TSPWeek in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, post a recap of the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

On the Blog & Real Life:

I am happy to report this was a boring week. I didn’t do a damn thing but organize and set up a fewΒ posts. The organizing is going so well that I think that is why everything ran so smoothly this week. On Friday I was planning to spend all day blogging and getting stuff done but I sort of hit a wall and didn’t want to. So I did a few visits, organized my calendar and searched Pinterest for fun stuff. Oh and I played a lot of Minecraft which believe it or not clears my head because while I play I think a lot.

Saturday was quiet also since we stayed home. We went to see Inside Out and had dinner at the my son’s favorite diner. Spent the rest of the evening watching NXT Takeover (wrestling) and played a little minecraft before I went to bed

Nothing good happening today just my favorite kind of Sunday Night, WWE Summer Slam is on and we are a little excited, I think I was more excited for NXT.

I am still working on some stuff for the blog, the return of the APP review is coming up in September and I have a bunch of them to get done. I am so excited for October when I will showcase a bunch of scary apps to play. I also have a fun feature I am working on with other bloggers and in November is the return of the Month of Giving thanks as well and in December’s Out with the Old, In with the New. The next 4 months is going to be very busy around here, I am so excited for what I have in store and I hope the momentum lasts for a long, long time. YAY! It feels good to be 100% blogging again πŸ™‚

  1. Sometimes, those weeks that seem ‘boring’ are very necessary. It’s when we can plan things, and just organize to be prepared for those weeks when we have so much to do we wouldn’t even be able to do it if they happened all the time.
Your new books look good! I hope you’ll enjoy them πŸ™‚
Have a great week and happy reading.

  2. That sounds like a perfect week Michelle – organising and catching up on stuff. I sometimes feel as if I’m constantly behind and so really appreciate it when I can get myself organised. (Often it’s not a time thing for me but just a prioritisation thing!).

  3. Boring weeks are good! But I understand how you felt like taking a break. I should have been writing my reviews & posts on Saturday but instead I was playing Candy Crush and on Pinterest. I kept looking at a blank Word document and couldn’t figure out how to start the review. Stepping away was good because later all my thoughts became clear.

I love your mermaid and I want to go to the beach so I can be one too!! Have a great week Michelle!

  4. Boring weeks are good sometimes. I’m looking forward to having one soon myself, things have been so hectic with us too.
Hope you enjoy your week Michelle and that mermaid you found is beautiful. πŸ˜‰
    Take care.

  5. Everybody I know does Minecraft and that other game I can’t think the name of but it’s a knock-off (UGH, it’s gonna kill me now!). My son is all Mario, all the time. He’s about falling over himself waiting for Super Mario Maker to come out in a few weeks. He plays everything Mario, Kirby, old school, new school, and now he wants me to hack the WiiU with the Homebrew channel… not doing it!!!

I still need to read Cress!!! I’ve got to get caught up before Winter comes!! Here’s to another quiet week before all Hell breaks loose in the coming months πŸ˜‰ You are so crazy with all the planning – I think you’re more organized than you think you are!!!

    • I love it, it’s so much fun and I love playing with the kids.
My son is DYING for Mario Maker. He plays all the same games as your son. They would be very good friends πŸ™‚

It wasn’t bad I liked it and I am really looking forward to Winter. Might read it faster than I read Cress.

I am hoping the quiet trend lasts because this was a nice week. I totally thing I didn’t realize how organized I was so when I sat to do more I sort of got lost lol

Oh, I love the mermaid picture! <3 And boring weeks can be good. πŸ™‚ We all need a break now and then. From the sounds of things, it won't be boring for long, lol. πŸ™‚

    Have a good week!

  7. Boring weeks are the best and boring weeks that include organization and no problems are like a bit of heaven! I’ve never played minecraft but I totally get what you mean. I play those hidden object games and it’s such a great destressor. What a pretty mermaid you found! How fun! We weren’t able to go to the beach this year and I definitely miss it. Have a great week!

    • I love hidden object games, I use to sit and listen to my iPod when I played to drown everything out. Minecraft you can’t do that incase a creeper or zombie are behind you πŸ˜‰

She is a very pretty mermaid, we decided to keep her πŸ™‚

  8. I LOVE boring weeks! LOL The one thing that we were going to do this summer and we didn’t was play Diablo III. I haven’t played in so long now that I would need a refresher course.

I’m glad you’ve got stuff coming up for the blog. You’re gearing up and I think I’m gearing down. I’m thinking of taking October off except for The Sunday Post. I’ll see how I feel in Sept. Hard to believe this year is only about 4 months away from being done. o.O

That pic of your daughter is adorable. πŸ™‚ I hope you have a fantastic week!

    • Today turned out to be a clean out the cabinet and draw day not sure how that happened but I think being home I realize this house is a disaster, thankfully we will be down the shore next weekend so I wont care πŸ˜‰

My October is busy on the blog and at home, I love Halloween and all things scary so I am looking forward to it. A blog break is nice, I did it for almost 2 months because of everything with Ryan but I can’t stay away to long or I might not come back o.O

      Thank you πŸ™‚

  9. It was a quiet week for me too- not a lot of reading. Sounds like a good Saturday- is that wrestling event the one where the Arrow guy is participating? LOL. That would be fun…

Yay for APP reviews! I think Northwood looks great, love that cover. you always seem to find good MG reads. I was in the bookstore yesterday and looking at all the new MG stuff, there are so many books now and so much good art.

    Have an awesome week!

    • He wrestles today. I hate those type of story lines. They so much amazing talent and they waste it on special guests. He is very cute but as Arrow not as a wrestler.

MG covers are KILLING me. They make them so nice and it want them all πŸ™‚

  10. All the organizing seems to be going well! I also have those days where I really don’t feel like blogging and it’s better to do something else then and blog when you are feeling the inspiration and sometimes when I force myself to start a post it just flows naturally once I get started. I did manage to write a few Lola’s Ramblings posts this week, but I am a bit behind on reviews as I didn’t read as much.

All those things you have planned for the blog sound so exciting and I can’t wait to read them all! I really liked your top ten post this week as I love gaming as well. And I love minecraft, although I haven’t played it in a while. I can see how it’s good for thinking!

Northwood looks good! I like those MG books with illustrations. I am currntly reading Thor’s Seprent which also ahs illustrations and I love those kind of books!

That’s so neat you made her a mermaid tail out of sand, it looks really cool! I hope you have a great week!

    • It has been very helpful, and making a list of things to do each day has lessened my stress which is great with school starting soon.

I have been obsessed with Minecraft, it comes and goes but especially when I find a great world to play in. I play on my iPad which is a little glitchy but it works. I play with the kids sometimes also.

I got that from BEA and I loved the cover of it. I can’t wait to get started hoping soon since I am still reading Steam.

She wanted to be a mermaid so I made her one πŸ™‚ She loved it.
