Week in READview:

Real life:

I made a confession on facebook this week to family and friends about Anxiety. I have been having a hard time with it the last few weeks. I am getting better at controlling it but I am just tired of it now and plan to find someone that can help me. My insurance SUCKS so it’s going to take sometime to find the right person but I am determined to get back to being myself again. However, now that I am more aware of what is wrong, it’s easer to handle and doesn’t stop me anymore from doing the things I need to do and that makes me feel good, knowing that will help I can overcome this and I will. Finally saying it out loud actually helped more than I thought it would.

This week was a really weird weather week…again! It snow/ice/rained on Wednesday so everything was closed and on Thursday in was 56….it’s serious whiplash weather again. This week coming up is suppose to be normal weather for this time of year, nothing crazy just low 40s but can we please just have spring already. I am so over the weather. I love winter but I want winter, not whatever this is.

Everything does back to normal next week, my son had off this week and we are all looking forward to him going back to school, lol. He needs the routine and I can tell he is getting antsy from being home all week. I think the kittens want the house back also, they may love us but it’s so quiet when all the crazy people in this house aren’t home. lol

Blogging & Reading:

This week was a quiet reading week, plus I wasn’t a fan of the book I was reading. I think it would be a great read but I just wasn’t connecting with the characters like I wanted too and the story seemed to be pointless, like it just wasn’t making sense to me. I am now reading a book that has been on my wish list for a while, Lola @Lola’s Reviews has been reading this series and I am so in love with the covers and story that I feel like I need to read it. If it’s really good I see a binge read coming. 🙂

I am officially two weeks ahead on blogging! WHAT! YES, first time in forever! I plan to do a lot more today and hope to finish out the month of March. I have a new post going up this week called Afternoon Tea and Books. It actually is a post that will go live in the afternoon and basically features a Tea and a book or books that I feel go with the tea. I just bought a bunch of yummy teas and plan to match them us as I taste them. It seems like a fun post to do. I also have another one I am working on so I am hoping that will be done for March as well. Berls and I are on a 3 posts each per week schedule, so she will write 3 posts and I will write 3 posts that way if one of us can’t do it we will always have 3 posts for the week. It has been working fantastically and it keeps a lot of the pressure off both of us. Don’t worry, she will be back soon.

Did you see what I made?

I designed the cover for the amazing N.D. Jones and this is the first two books in one. The book comes our March 27th 2019. So if you are interested you can find it HERE. I did all her 3 book covers and she has two Paperbacks I did. These were so awesome to create and I am so proud of them 🙂

  1. I hope you’re doing better soon with your anxiety. It can be so hard to deal with. It really help to be aware of what’s going wrong and I am glad saying it aloud helped.

We had some weird weather here too, from super warm to autumn like weather again. It’s weird.

I hope you’ll enjoy immortal Plunder. And that’s awesome you’re two weeks ahead with blogging! I hope you had a good week!

  2. I’m so sorry to hear about your anxiety but glad to hear that talking about it and acknowledging has helped. I’ve been struggling a little myself lately and have found yoga and guided meditation helpful. Yoga with Adriene on YouTube has a few good wind down yoga practices and some guided meditations. I’m not sure if that would help you but it’s free. The cover is gorgeous! How exciting! I’m so jealous of how on top of your blogging you are! I’m so far behind but one day I’ll be like you! Have a great week!

  3. Yay for being ahead on the blog. I think acknowledging and knowing when anxiety, OCD and depression are elevated is important. Because we deal with it on the daily, but it escalates beyond what we can deal with sometimes. I have meds and know what my triggers are..but just because I know doesn’t mean I can stop them. I can however, pull back and put my health first when needed. I am glad you are seeking help.

  4. I’m glad you’re taking steps to help your anxiety. You got this.

I love, love, love your book cover. Seriously awesome!

I picked up Kingdom of Exiles from NetGalley, too! I hope it’s a good one.

I wish you a wonderful week, Michelle! XOXO

  5. These days I think we all have anxiety. Certainly I have been better able to help my daughter when she tells me how it is happening or affecting her. Her insurance has been great, thank goodness. I also got Kingdom of Exiles – it looks really interesting. Hope this week is better for you in weather and books!

  6. I have anxiety and I never realized until it caused other health problems. Glad you are figuring out ways work with it. Sorry the book didn’t grab you. I’ve had a few of those lately. I always seem to want to read something other than what I’m currently reading, these days. LOL
Way to go getting ahead on blogging.

    Have a good week, Michelle!

  7. Ok so that meme about the Dark Forest is spot on!! I always thought how strange it was to say it was off limits but then make them go there as a punishment.

Sorry about your anxiety. I suffer from it as well (and OCD) so I know how debilitating it can be. Hopefully you are able to get some support.

    • I think I might go see my doctor first maybe he has a suggestion or can give me something. Honestly since saying it out loud, I haven’t had an attack in 24 hours.
Thank you, it was a fun cover to do and she is so awesome to work with. I have three more I am working on now. It’s so fun! 🙂

    • Thank you!
I watch my son do it every day and he takes med but it still is hard for him. I didn’t realize until recently that I might have it also. I plan to go talk to my doctor about it and see if he recommends anything. At the moment I have my temp fixes and they work and believe it or not saying it out loud really helped a lot.

    • The pirate talk is a little immature but I like the MC so far.
It was because I didn’t think people would believe me, you truly find your friends when you share stuff like that.
I am so excited that I am ahead. I need to keep it going and with our schedule it seems to work. 🙂
      Thank you! 🙂

  10. Acknowledging a problem is the first step to overcoming it. Well done Michelle for talking about your anxiety with your friends and family. I hope you manage to find a way to overcome it.

    Those are pretty book covers!
