Monthly Book Report ~ End of Year Book Report 2019

Posted January 7, 2020 by Michelle in Monthly Book Report / 4 Comments

So I have officially read 66 books in 2019. While it is a lot of books considering I had such a crappy reading year. I didn’t make my goal for last year. I was sort of bummed by that. I plan to read about 60 books this year but my real goal in my head is 100.

Here is my Stats for 2019 from Goodreads

I only had 5, 5 Star reviews this year which  isn’t a surprise since I tend to give more 4 stars than 5. That was super true for 2019. I also found myself reading a lot more steamy reads last year and fell in love with Madison Fayes stories and trying to find more books like hers. I would love to listen to more audio books so I need to find a way to listen at isn’t too expensive. (Suggestions are welcome)

This year I am hoping to read a lot more and also binge watch a lot more. I think I am tired of all the crazy on social media and just want to do what I like best.

I also am hoping to blog a lot more and review. I feel like I haven’t reviewed a book in a long time. I think I have done one a month, if that. So….

*Cheers* to a productive year with lots of reading.

Challenges

I will update next month about the challenges that I am doing a list so I can update them each month. I am sticking with my own challenges and going to try and read the books I already own.

Thanks for stopping by

Have a great day and Happy Reading!

  1. Good luck with a year of productive reading! I too want to read more this year as well as binge watch more. I don’t blame you with the social media… I’m sick of Facebook and am tempted to delete it again but I’ve settled for uninstalling it from my phone and seeing how it goes. (Plus, I’ve made liberal use of the mute button!) Twitter, I started unfollowing those who irked me…

With audiobooks, I tend to listen to my son’s. I have an audible subscription and he gets 1 a month for £7.99. I also keep an eye out for deal of the day in case it’s something he or I would like. Buying from audible is also super cheap if you have the ebook too… You can add audible usually for an additional £3.49 but it may be different for US folks.
Your libraries also seem to have good audiobook selections via overdrive, whereas the ones in UK’s audiobook selection kinda suck. 🙁
Netgalley is apparently going to be offering audiobooks this year so that may be another option once it’s online?
