Nothing and a Lumpy Dog ~ WIR & TSP

Posted September 25, 2016 by Michelle in The Sunday Post, WIReadview / 18 Comments

WIR&TSPWeek in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Itโ€™s a chance to share news, post a recap of the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

On the Blog, Books & Real Life:

Can this be true….Is this real life…Do I have nothing to report this week? I have been productive, the kids are good and everything seems to be falling just as it should. I’ll probably get struck by lightening.

In other news, my Patronous is a Basset Hound….A lazy dog…like if I “Expecto Patronum”ย anyone, a Lazy Lumpy dog will flop out and I will die. That is probably because I had nothing to report this week. If you haven’t had a chance to be disappointed this week, head on over to Pottermore, they will be happy to help or you might be a lucky one and get a majestic animal that will scare Dementors not like me who is will die because of a lazy dog. ๐Ÿ˜‰

If you are part of the 2016HW please feel free to link up when you can. I was slightly confused and thought I was late but might have been early lol. Anyway the link is open for you to link up, even just for the giveaway, and not the actual link update.

Please don’t forget to stop by on TUESDAYย for a chance to win Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children giveaway. The prize is a $25 Visa Gift Card to see the movie and a Movie Tie-In Copy of the book.

  1. You have to have an account to do that patronus thingy so I’ll pass. Besides, I already stole disoriented John Travolta for mine. lololol

A quiet week with nothing to report?! I gotta get me one (or more) of those! Enjoy it and hope for more!

I hope you have a fantastic (and quiet) week, Michelle! xoxo

  2. Bassets are my husband’s favorite breed. ๐Ÿ™‚ I got an osprey for my Patronus. I was hoping for a hawk, so that was actually kind of close.

Sometimes “nothing to report” is a really good thing. I hope it was a good week for you; it sounds like it was. I hope this one goes as smoothly. Stay happy, my friend, and keep reading good books!

  4. Oh, Michelle, I cracked up! I’ve also never been to Pottermore, so I snuck over there. My Patronous is a Tortoiseshell Cat. Not all that exciting. I hope you have a great week!

  5. Ha ha about Patronus I don’t even know what that is. But I might head over there and see what I get. Like a spirit animal? If I get something lame I’ll be pissed ha ha. It was a pretty blah week for me too, mid- Sept. not much going on, and I got sick so that sucked. But at least it went away quick. Hope you have a good weekend and a good week.

Totally unrelated but did you know they have Sharknado Funkos? I’m just starting to get into those and I saw a Sharknado one online. Weren’t you a Sharknado fan? That cracked me up.

    • You never saw HARRY POTTER?!?!? It’s the animal they get to defeat a Dementor. A soul sucking creature. ๐Ÿ™‚
Blah weeks are pretty good, sorry you were sick but glad it went away quickly. Both my kids has stuffy faces. This time of year always does that to them.

YES I LOVE SHARKNADO!!! I saw the funko and need to get the tornado with the sharks, I need to find that one. ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. My patronus was a cat. Enjoy the quietness, we all know it never lasts.lol Those are sometimes the best kind of weeks. My life is usually pretty boring, and that is just fine by me. The giveaway on Tuesday sounds cool. I am hoping to see the movie I love book one, and own but haven’t read book 2 (for shame) .Hope this week is a good one !

  7. I’m seriously knocking on wood for you! If you get struck by lightning I will personally sick dementors on you. And you’ll be screwed ๐Ÿ˜‰ I’m glad you had a good week – you deserve a break now and then. Here’s hoping it continues. Can’t wait for Ms. P’s peculiar children – I’m so entering that giveaway ๐Ÿ™‚ have a great week!

    • It still cracks me up that the girl that played Luna got the Patronus of a Salmon. Her’s might be worse than mine ๐Ÿ™‚
I hope you will enter. I am so nervous about hosting it. Last one I hosted for Disney was a HUGE flop. I have a feeling I wont be doing that for them again. ๐Ÿ™ Just has been a bad blogging year and I lost a lot of my followers because I sucked. I am hoping to make up for it the last few months and next year.

  8. I LOVE weeks like that! I will keep my fingers crossed that the lightning stays away and you have another week of calmness. My Patronus is a Dapple Grey Mare. Not sure how I feel about that but my aunt had one years ago and she was the sweetest thing. The only horse I actually liked. Now I need to go find out what a Patronus really is so I know how I feel about it. I love a Basset Hound so that sounds good too. Have a great week!

  9. Sounds like you had a good week with being productive and things falling on it’s place. It is good to have little to report sometimes.

At least your Patronous is cute! And who says only majestic animals are powerful. I would be happy to have a rat as a Patronous.

Your current read looks so cute! I hope it’s a good one. Enjoy your new books and have a great week!

    • But Rats can be bad and nasty. Bassett Hounds just lump around. ๐Ÿ™‚ Maybe he will surprise me and be less lumpy and more powerful when needed (Like I could actually produce one to find out) lol

I am very happy to be productive again and have a few things to need to do today so I can get busy next month for Blog Ahead.
So far its cute. I am liking the MC he is very funny.

  10. Thank you for telling me about Pottermore!! I mean, I’ve heard of the site before but I never visited. I got White Mare and I think my Patronous would just prance around the bad guys. Hey, but it’s pretty to watch ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m so glad to hear you had a quiet week! YEAH!!!! Here’s to more sun shiney days!!!
