Welcome to Task It Tuesday! hosted by the Awesome The Geeky Blogger
What is Task It Tuesday? It is where every week I list a task or tasks that I would like to accomplish on my blog or in Real Life before next Tuesday. It can be big or small but the goal is to get something done that will make my blog/reading life/challenges run smoother, faster, or more efficient and/or get those simple or complex tasks done in my real life.
My Task(s) this week:
- Organize my books Last week I couldn’t figure out how I wanted to set everything up, well nothing like waiting till the last minute to figure it out. I need to organize my books in a way that will work for me. Since nothing is ever set in stone I thought this sheet would be perfect to input the books I want to read and they can always be moved around. I will spend this week filling in all the info and finishing up the other spreadsheet I have for all the freebies I own and purchased book.
- I am hoping to fill in the spaces and when I am done with the book that month just check it off. This way I can see what books I want to read each month and am not scrambling to figure out what to read next. Of course this doesn’t work for everyone but I have an OCD with list so this will help me out a lot and I can always move stuff around if needed. It’s more of a guideline.
- Groceries: I finally found a way to keep this going, I am going to make a book, I just need to finish the pages and print them out. Once I can do that I can start inputing the info, so for now I will be researching more recipes on Pinterest. Feel Free to follow my boards, I have found some yummy food so far 🙂
Tasks completed this week:
- I made the spreadsheet for the months to organize my reads
- Started making the pages for the menu book.
- Input some of the freebies into the spreadsheet
- Made a few more collection on kindle to organize my challenges
- Made a few more shelves to organize my challenges on goodreads.

The templates are great! I have so many ideas from theme 🙂
I am a total list lover so excel (numbers) is just amazing.
It is a great meme 🙂 I wish more people did it with her, it would be fun to have a bunch of people join in !!
I am LOVING excel these days for their to-do list template that I am using for my blog To-Do list. I’m thinking off switching over my current TBR spreadsheet into one o the templates they’ve already made. they are so much easier to keep track of like that. 😀 Urg I love this meme!it does my near-OCD some good. <3
You are doing well! That spreadheet looks so organized. I mostly use goodreads to keep track of my books, but I can see how a spreadhseet would be handy as well. I love searching for recipes on pinterest, there are so many delicious recipes to find there.
I do it on Goodreads also, I have like three places that have my book stuff on it and it has been really helpful. Working on something else also to help me. I can use all the help I can get lol
Pinterest can suck me in for hours, nerd stuff is the worst boards for me also lol
You know, Michelle, I’d never created a spreadsheet until I created one to keep track of books I wanted to one-click but refrained…for my book buying budget. Now I’ve made a few – to keep track of whether or not I’ve posted/linked reviews for COYER. That’s been helpful. So I can understand your love of spreadsheets! 😉 Now, you’ve got me thinking I need to organize my kindle. I just have to figure out how…
I just never realized how awesome collections are and how you can really keep track of all my reads and what I want to read, it’s fantastic 🙂
You are my hero with all the stuff you’ve gotten done! I’m doing better with menu planning. I’ve started doing categories which makes it a bit easier – every Tuesday is some form of tacos, every Thursday is an old favorite, every Sunday is soup – and that helps. I desperately need to figure out some way to organize my books. I feel a bit like I’m drowning!
LOL, I love your categories Idea, I might have to try that. Once have the pages cut and put into my book I think it will help a lot. I just hope I can stick with it 🙂
I can’t do a spreadsheet for books I want to read, I’m a mood reader but it is a good way to organize and keep track of your books. It sounds like you’re off to a good start for your organization, good luck!
I need something to go by, whether I go by it or not is a different story, but I feel more organized if I can see it laid out 🙂 Thank you!
Oooh I love the spreadsheet! I may have to copy that idea – having a list of books I’d like to get read each month would be pretty handy. What will you do if you don’t finish all the books?
Probably just move them over or schedule someplace else. It’s really a guildeline. I can send you the spreadsheet if you want it. You might just have to adjust.
