Bookish Resolutions for 2021
This we we decided not to do the bookish resolutions, while I love the idea of it I wanted to put it on hold after 2020 being such a mess. I think we all had plans in mind for that year and most just didn’t work out. So instead I am going to do a small bookish type resolutions right here for what I would like to do in 2021 with Reading and Blogging
- Read and Review 50 books ~ This is hopefully something I will be able to keep up with throughout the year. 2020 had me lacking in reviews but I plan to make 2021 my comeback year for reviewing books I read and even doing some mini reviews on books I never reviewed.
- Read at least an hour or more a day ~ That means I need to sit myself down and just read. Our house is small but if I pop in my earbuds and listen to some nature sounds to block out the TV, I don’t see why I can’t escape into a book while everyone is awake and even try to get an hour in while everyone is still sleeping in the morning.
- Read the books I have ~ While I will NEVER stop getting new books, I really do need to focus on at least spending more time reading the books I have. So I am hoping that most of the books I read this year are ones from 2020 and back but also reading a few from this year also.
- My main goal for Blogging is to just stay ahead ~ If I can try and be at least 2 or more weeks ahead that would be awesome. I know some weeks will be hard than others but if I can stay ahead I wont stress about not having posts. I know, you are thinking why are you stressing over a blog, well I love this blog and I love keeping it active so I do stress a bit when it comes to no posts but I am working on trying not to let it overtake my entire day or week. Just maybe an hour or so.
- Visit you wonderful people ~ One thing I did none of this year was visit. I love to spend my Sundays catching up with the Sunday Post but I would also like to chat books. A lot of bloggers that I used to follow don’t really blog that much anymore so I am going to spend 2021 visiting my blogging friends and looking around to make some new ones. The world is a crazy place and social media is just unhealthy, I would rather spend it with content I love and a community that is filled with people that are awesome!
One other goal I have is to revamp Limabean Design...again. I mean get my name out, make ads, advertise more and just let people see the work I can do. I take pride in what I create and I would love to be able to do this more for the bookish and blogging community. So I am going to spend time this year, redoing my website, creating new Covers and just finding new and fun ways to create and sell stuff. I am even going to put up a COYER shop so you can get shirts or mugs, etc of all things COYER and maybe even some bookish stuff. All money collects from the shop will go towards making COYER even bigger and better in the coming years! 🙂
I have other goals I want to do but I think I will save that for another time. These few things are my most important, I am looking forward to seeing what the future (not just 2021) has in store, I know it will be crazy but I am ready for the wild ride.

Have a great day and Happy Reading!

Great goals! I’m not great at reading during the day and I really need to get better. And reading the books I have is definitely something I want to do this year. I think the floor might cave in under the weight of all the unread books if I don’t!
Great goals! I’m with you on the reviewing and reading books I already own. Oh and staying ahead on the blog. I’m proud of us – we’ve been pretty steady these past few weeks 🙂 I’m working on improving my visiting, that’s a hard one for me for some reason.
Well now I have nothing but time until I don’t lol I’m going to try and stay ahead.
Resolutions are great to have! The good thing about the ones you have listed here are that you’re clear on what you want to accomplish. Best of luck meeting your resolutions over the next year!
It sounds good. If you don’t know what you are trying to do, it would be less likely you could do it. I always like to have goals.
My goal for reading is usually 50 books but I lowered it to 12 this year. I hope at some point I get my reading/blogging groove back but right now I haven’t felt the urge.
I do want to get better at commenting again though. Even if I’m not reading much, I like to keep up with what other people are lol

It took me a couple months to really get back into things. I am feeling like I am in a better plan and a break will always help.
My commenting stinks, I do hope I can get back into doing that again, The Sunday Post helps with that.
I like that they are challenging goals, but still do-able. I definitely want to hit more books from my own stack this year.
I need something that is challenging but I can do, so I don’t get too discouraged.
I was just thinking I need to find a way to read for at least an hour a day. More would be great, but it’s not always reasonable.
I think all your goals are good ones–and very doable! I wish you the best with them. And good luck with your business. I love the design you did for my blog. 🙂 Although I admit I’m starting to feel a change might be in order. I think this is the longest I’ve gone with one design! It’s one of the reasons I couldn’t get a tattoo. I’d always be changing my mind. LOL
Have a great day, Michelle!
COYER group has D.E.A.R. which helps get that reading time in.
Thank you Wendy, I was looking for clip art from the TBR Logo and saw your cats while I was looking 🙂 If you ever want to change it up let me know, I would be happy to do it again for you.
If you do get a Tattoo make sure it is one that you can add on too so when you change your mind you can make it a little different. 🙂
My goals are very similar to yours, so naturally, I think they are excellent, brilliant goals! LOL This is my first year doing COYER so I am excited about that–I love a good coffee mug so count me in on buying merch! Goals outside reading include hopefully being able to run the Chicago Marathon as a Charity Runner (hopefully it will happen this fall- 2020 was canceled) and trying a new recipe per week. 🙂
Lol Thank you! Ahhh I hope you enjoy it! COYER is so much fun and the community is fantastic, you will meet lots of new friends.
I am hoping I can get out to walk a little more, I feel so stationary, I need to start moving again.
Sometimes I use an audiobook to keep me active, IE I can only listen while outside getting steps in – I fall for this trick all the time, esp in the winter. Ha!
I stink at listening to audio but that might not be a bad idea might actually get me moving more. Great Idea!
I definitely need to work on my resolutions. I need to post my reviews, at least on Goodreads within a day of finishing a book. I also want to visit more blogs per day. I am going to set my limit of 50 visits per day, so I can rotate the almost 500 blogs I follow.
50 visits! goodness I can barely do 5 in a day. lol. Nd yes, getting a quick review on Goodreads is something I need to start doing also, even if it’s just a few thought about the book.
