Sunday
Today was a very busy day – all about trying to get ready for the upcoming week. I did grocery shopping, cleaning, laundry, and some simple meal prep. I also had a decent amount of school work to do – my semester ends on Thursday and I have a few outstanding assignments I’m trying to wrap up. It’s later than I would like right now and I have to get to the office by 7:30 / 7:45 tomorrow morning because the survey didn’t happen last week, so it might happen this week. Gah I hope so, I’m ready to have it done and behind me! Headed to put away laundry, take a quick shower and get to bed, hopefully all before 10:30 so I won’t be too tired at 5am tomorrow.
Monday – Wednesday
These past few days have been so busy. Monday I was out the door early AGAIN for a survey that didn’t happen AGAIN. We’ve had two weeks now where we were flawlessly ready. I am so sad they didn’t come and starting to get worried they won’t come until Christmas week. That will suck.
I’m one of two people who run the sunshine committee at work and we’ve started our holiday cheer celebrations. Since COVID we can’t have a traditional holiday party so we’re doing 12 days of events… and we’re calling them 12 Days of Festivus (Seinfeld reference for the youngins) to keep it holiday neutral. I’ve been having lots of fun with the activities… even if the survey not happening like we thought has thrown a wrench in things for sure.
I’ve also been really busy these past days finishing out my semester. I finished up today (Wednesday) with my last JavaScript projects and tests. So I’m officially done with the semester. I don’t have final grades yet, but it’s looking like 2 As. 🙂
I’ve been doing absolutely horrible with my eating and working out and overall goals for the month. But hoping I can get back on track now that I’m done with my assignments. Maybe. It’s the holidays after all.
I’ve also been busy buying holiday gifts and I’m ALMOST done. Yay! Need to get a few in the mail this week hopefully and need to wrap all of them still!
Thursday – Saturday
Where has this week gone? Thursday I was in the office and super busy all day. Between being 1/2 of the Sunshine Committee and prep for our survey, I’m busy. I honestly don’t remember much about Friday, except I was working at home. I rushed around in the afternoon because one of the xmas gifts I was waiting for finally arrived and I had been waiting for it to finish off my gifts to be shipped. I decided USPS was likely not up to the challenge of a pre-Christmas delivery and went to FedEx instead. I only had 3 packages to send, so it wasn’t too expensive. I also had to stop at the store quickly Friday to buy ingredients to make my bread pudding for a Saturday xmas party.
Saturday was a great day. Woke up with Dante and played a bit. Ran to the bank, finished my bread pudding (I soak it overnight), and then left the boys to their own devices to go to my book club xmas potluck. “MY” book club is a loose term, since I haven’t seen then since October 2019. Between having a baby and the pandemic, I haven’t been able to join them. But they scheduled this party at a time they knew I could join and it was so good to see everyone again. There were a couple new faces too, that were great to meet. And since everyone is vaccinated and masks up in public, it’s about as safe as I can hope for these days. They talked about maybe trying to change bookclub to weekends so I can start joining again (and to work better for other schedules, it’s not ALL about me lol).
This evening was more play time with Dante. He’s been learning the wheels on the bus and he did the hand motions for the whole song tonight. It was big, exaggerated and over the top, but so precious. We also watched The Quiet Place on Peacock. It was really good and we’re planning to watch part II soon.

Congrats on finishing your semester! Great job. I remember when my son was little and did Wheels on the Bus. He thought the babies crying was so funny; he’d make the crying motion and then giggle. *sigh* He’s 18 now. lol
Well it’s a good week with finishing your class and accomplishing other things. But it sucks that the survey didn’t happen yet. I’m crossing my fingers it will be this week so it’s over before the holiday.

Bust week! But it sounded like it was a good one! 🙂
Sounds like a busy week! So sweet that Dante has learned the Wheels on the Bus song and motions. I don’t think I even remember all the motions, let alone the whole song with all the people doing things! Lol!
Happy Reading!
