Blog:
I was super productive this week, I decided to make most of my Monday a blogging day. So it was awesome that I am now about two weeks ahead. I am hoping between today and tomorrow to finish off another two weeks. I also did a bunch of design jobs and I was so happy to have them completed. I am currently working on the next set of design work and could always use more if anyone is in need (see below)
I came up with a few ideas for new posts and hope to start writing them soon. I am still lacking reviews because reading just isn’t going how I would like it too, but I am still working on figuring out time. You would think being unemployed would give me more time but I feel like I never have enough time.
Off the blog:
Well the weather tricked me, I thought it was going to be warmer this week and while the snow did melt, it has been FREEZING that last 3 days. It is suppose to warm up this week so fingers crossed, I really just want to open the windows to air out this house.
Cheer is winding down and it will end in April, my daughter is still trying to decided if she want to do it again for the next season, even thought it is expensive, I hope she does because it is a great experience for her but it is her choice.
My mom is still having a hard time with my dad being gone and we all wanted to condense and live in one house (it’s two family) but she just isn’t ready yet so that means my husband and I have time to clean out this house. My plan (I haven’t told him yet) is to slowly go through each room, hallway and basement to remove all unwanted stuff so when we do move it’s not a complete mess since we have over 20+ years worth of stuff here, we will still have a lot of stuff but at least it will be all cleaned out.
In other news, My husband is scheduled to get the vaccine on the 22nd. I am so happy! He has MS so I have been trying to get him one since they first started rolling them out. I am so happy for him but also a little nervous he will have a side effect but I have my fingers crossed it wont be too bad. I am currently working on getting my mom one and then myself.
Read, Currently Reading, Next:
The Initial Insult was odd. I have review for it this week, I am just starting The Ladies of the Secret Circus today so I am hoping to be finished with this this week since Kings of the Wyld is a chunky fella and I really want to read that one.
What I grabbed:
Haven’t really seen anything this week that I wanted to buy so no new books this week.
What I watched:
It’s been a discovery+ kind of week, I can’t seem to get enough of watching Documentaries. I just finished the Kindred Spirit binge watch and have to watch the last one today. This week I watched…

- BTK: Chasing a Serial Killer
- The Boston Strangler: The Hunt for a Killer
- Family Man, Family Murderer – The piece of shit, Chris Watts.

Kudos on having such a productive week! And blogging ahead is a talent I wish I possessed. 🙂 Tackling the cleaning out of the house is quite a project. Good idea on taking it one room at a time. Less overwhelming that way. We did a whole lot of culling out when we moved 2 years ago and it was a great feeling to get rid of so much excess!
I don’t envy you the cleaning out but once it’s done I bet it will be amazing. My daughter had what was considered pretty severe side effects to both doses but the good thing is it didn’t last very long. She felt really wiped out and like she had the flu – even ran a fever – for about a day or two and then was completely better. I hope if your husband does have side effects it’s better quickly. Reading has been a bit of a struggle the last few weeks for me. I blame February in general. It’s just not a good month! Have a great week!
That’s great news about having a huge chunk of your Monday to work ahead on the blog posts. And, yay that your husband is getting the shot soon. I think your game plan of systematically going through your things in prep to moving in the future is a good plan. I can’t even imagine trying to move all our accumulated stuff. Hopefully your reading will pick up soon.
Have a good week, Michelle!
Sounds like a busy week, especially Monday. It’s great that you were able to get several weeks ahead on blogging. I think I’m envious.
I’ve been having a terrible time being productive lately — on anything. I hope that with spring coming, I can get my get-stuff-done mojo back. Sometimes it doesn’t matter whether you have a lot of time or only a little; it’s just hard to stay focused and get things done.
I hope things work out with your mom’s house and moving. And I’m glad your husband is getting his shot. I hope you and your mom can get on the list soon, too.
Lol, I don’t stay ahead often so this is awesome and i hope to keep it up.
I hope so too, I just feel like I need to get out of the house and walk around, like take a hike or a long walk in the park, I just feel like I have been inside forever.
Me too but she just needs time, she is not ready to get rid of his stuff and I don’t blame her this has been a very hard year.
Oh my gosh! You’ve really been super productive! Your blog looks amazing and I can see you’ve had a lot of fun! Two weeks ahead… Good grief! I’ve posted my Sunday Post 1 hour ago and it’s already 21:00 in SA now. Time is so not on my side at this stage. But!!! I do plan on trying to have a couple of posts pre-written and pre-scheduled over the holidays that is in 2 weeks time.
You’ve shared such great books. I’m especially interested in The Ladies of the Secret Circus.
Have a good week and I hope you get to be another week ahead this week!
Elza Reads
Thank you, I love designing stuff and did my blog design a couple years ago, might be time for a change.
I am trying to be ahead since I am home, I know it will change at some point but for now I want to take advantage of the time I have.
So far the book is interesting, still at the beginning but I hope to have it finished this week,
I’m so glad to hear your week went well. It’s great to be able to organize things the way you want to get things accomplished and it’s motivating too. In NC, they open the vaccine up to my group March 24 so I hope we will be able to get vaccinated in April. Stay safe and well!
NJ is behind because they messed bunch of stuff up in the beginning and even now don’t have enough locations. They had a year to figure this out since they knew a shot was coming which is what drives me crazy. lol
I am trying to keep busy and be more productive because waiting around to find something isn’t helping me get stuff done! 😀
Yay for all the design work! That is great news. After the first shot, I just had a sore arm. I was super worried because I had an anaphylactic reaction to a vaccine years ago. I haven’t had my second shot yet.
My husband had a reaction to a shot he was taking for his MS so I am hoping he wont have one for this. Sore are we can handle 🙂 I am just so happy he is getting one and I feel like I don’t have to worry about him now.
I hope I can find the time to write blog posts ahead of time. I’m just coming back to blogging and trying to find that balance again. That Kings of the Wyld book looks interesting! Added it to my TBR. I also love true crime. I binged all the episodes of the Crime Junkie podcast now I don’t know what to do when I’m cleaning the kitchen lol!
I try to pick one day to do all my blogging even a week ahead is good.
I listen to Crime Junkie also,, you should look at the Parcast Network and a Podcast called Morbid. Parcast has a ton of true crime podcasts, from serial killers and female criminals, unsolved mysteries, etc. Morbid is two girls chatting true crimes, it takes some getting used to with their voices but after a few listens I love them.
Sounds like you had a productive week. I am glad to hear you have plenty of design work to keep you busy and that’s awesome you’re two weeks ahead for your blog. And I totally see how even tough you’re unemployed you feel like you don’t have enough time, there’s just so much that needs to be done in day.
The weather here was similar to what you described, I thought it was getting warmer and then it actually was quite cold this week. i am also looking forward to opening the windows.
Good luck with cleaning out your house. That sounds like a big task, but slowly going through one room at a time sounds like a good plan.
And that’s great news your husband is getting the vaccine. I hope he doesn’t have any side effects and that you and your mom can get it soon as well.
And I remember to announce my Coyer participation this week, just have to link it up.
I hope you’ll have a good week!
I have a good amount of work to keep me busy but I could always use more 🙂 I am hoping to make it more of a side job and get another part time job but at the moment I just don’t have enough work to do that. but I am trying.
I am praying it is warm this week, I just want to open windows!
It’s going to be a long process to clean but I am looking forward to getting rid of stuff or maybe even do a garage sale.
Glad you had some productivity for yourself this week! I felt like i made none whatsoever since things got hectic at my work. It was a nightmare. I only managed a little bit of reading and I haven’t had time to read at all this weekend because I had to run all the errands I can’t get to during the week and then some blogging and then I was just exhausted and vegged out in front of the TV!
Hope you are able to find your reading groove this week! I’m hoping the same for myself too!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Vegging by the TV is like my think at the moment but I binge watch stuff. I need to find a better balance but at the moment I just feel like lumping around. lol
Since I am not working it’s easy to take one day to dedicate to blogging but it is hard to find the time to sit and do it when you have been busy all week. At the moment for me it works but if I get a job I have a feeling it will get harder to balance.
