Happy Father’s Days to all the Daddies of human children and fur-babies! xx
If it isn’t Father’s Day in your country, Happy Sunday! I hope you all have an amazing day! xx
This week was a good week, my son’s school called us and asked if he would be interested in working for the IT department at the board of ed for his school. Since this is something he might be interested in, in the future, we thought this would be a great opportunity for him. So he will start in July and he will be paid for his time, they will monitor him and guide him as much as they can. I am super excited for him and this is a huge step for him. I filled out his working papers and sent them to the school. He can work as much or as little as he wants, which is great for him to help him transition, then if he decided to work more he is able to do that. If this works out he will have all his paperwork done and can find something else if he wants once the summer work is done so we can find a place that works with special needs kids. This opens up so much for him and I hope will help him learn a little more responsibility.
This will be the kids last week of school, I can’t wait for it to be over. I plan to do some on-line courses to upgrade my skills and haven’t had a chance to do that while they were home and doing school stuff. They sleep late so I have a good 4 hours to spend learning some new things. I am excited to get started, it will be a big plus when I start looking for a job in September.
Today I am making dinner for Father’s Day for my husband, my family is coming over to eat and we are planning on doing Spareribs, Chicken Wings and Pasta Salad. This will be my second Father’s Day without my dad, I still miss him so very much but I plan to celebrate his life today and just remember what an amazing dad I have. Thinking about all of you today that has to celebrate without your dad. Sending lots of love and hugs your way. <3 xxx
Read & Currently Reading:
So I monster porn-ed it this week. I was looking for steamy and I always tend to go towards the tentacles because of course I do.
I am reading The Five but it’s very biography like, while I knew that it would be, I guess I was hoping for more of a story and less of an educational retelling but I do want to read it, just might be slower than I thought it would be.
I also started Sea of Ruin since it has been a long time since I read a dark pirate historical fiction with spice, honestly don’t know if I ever read one but nothing like starting now.
Too lazy to post all the covers 🙂 I also grabbed them all from KU
What I grabbed:
What I watched:
I can’t stop watching Anime, it’s almost as addicting as reading. I am still watching Black Clover, I am almost done so I believe at so some point with the next week or two I am probably starting on something new. The good this is even with 170 episodes they are only 24 minutes long.

It sounds like a lot of good things happening. Good luck with your online courses. I have my granddaughter for a few more days, school doesn;t finish until June 28th. Enjoy your new books.
The Five is one on my TBR list. I have not read Pam Godwin, but have wanted to. Maybe I’ll try the Sea of Ruin book! Thanks for sharing and hope you have a good week!
I love your blog design. It’s so pretty. I can’t beleive this is my first time stopping by. WOW! New follower.
I’m so excited for your son! What a great opportunity! Your Father’s Day spread sounds amazing. We didn’t do much though I did make some Chex Mix so I’m calling that as good. I think I would’ve expected The Five to be a bit more narrative as well. I still want to read it but thanks for the heads up! I hope you have a wonderful week!
Yay for your son getting this work opportunity and sounds like you have a great Father’s Day planned. We’re stopping by my husband’s step-dad’s in a bit. Looks like you have a good plan for yourself this summer with the classes and new job plans. LOL, I went through a monster porn mood a few years ago and found tentacles sexy, too. Looks like a good pile of reads.
Have a good week, Michelle!
I am thrilled for Ryan. I know about kids sleeping late. My daughter usually gets up at dinnertime these days. Happy Father’s Day. My dad was central to my life but he’s been gone for 28 years now. He was almost 50 when I was born.

That is so awesome that your son has an opportunity to explore a job! That is a huge milestone for special needs kids! I can’t wait to hear how it goes.
Enjoy your Fathers Day celebrations, ours aren’t until September..
Congratulations to your son , I hope it’s a great experience that leads to better things for him!
I still need to read The Five.
Wishing you a great reading week
Happy father’s day! Sounds like you have a nice family dinner planned for today and I hope you have a great day!
That sounds like an awesome opportunity for Ryan and I hope it will be good! That sounds like a good idea to learn some new things when you can before starting job searching. Hopefully things calm down a bit once your kids are out of school.
That cover for Sea of Ruin is awesome! I hope it’s a good read. I hope you’ll have a great week!
Congrats to Ryan! And hooray for you taking classes and looking for a new job! 😀
I’m totally going to need to check out Sea of Ruin!
We’re about to head out to breakfast to celebrate Father’s Day. I’ll never understand why Mother’s Day in the UK is on a different day than pretty much the rest of the world but Father’s Day is the same, lol. Hope your dinner goes well!
The monster porn/tentacle comments had me giggling… We all have our thing!
