Happy Mom’s Day to all the Moms of human and furbabies!
Today is Mom’s Day in the US and I plan to spend the day playing the Sims and relaxing. I also promised the family I would make Tacos for dinner so I will also be doing that. I might sleep in too. ;P (fingers crossed because this plan never usually works out) 😀
Job hunt is still on going but for now the week was normal and got some design work finished. I have a couple more clients to get done but overall very happy with the designs I made this week. Since I work such not set hours, I am only really able to do work when I am off and thankfully that is usually a couple days a week. This would be a great set up if I could get more design clients, which is my end goal. I would love for Limabean Designs to become a full business but one step at a time and for now I continue to look for employment and budget when I can, except when it comes to buying books apparently. That 40% is just my favorite thing about working at BN.
I went to make the bed this week and two of my toes didn’t go with the rest of my foot and I think I broke my toe. It’s all puffy and has a black and blue. Can’t really do anything about it but work through the pain but I haven’t broken anything in a while so it was good to get it out of the way. *facepalm*
I am working on redesigning both Limabean Designs and Because Reading. I am in the mood for a full redo when it comes to the design. I have been wanting to do Because Reading for a while but I know it will be a lot of pieces to do so I am thinking by August it should be complete. I am excited about it, my favorite part is figuring out all the details.
I might have gone a little crazy this week and from what I understand today, I might be getting 8 more books as gifts from my family for Mom’s Day. I might just need to pack up everything and move to a deserted island to read all my books. I will list them below

I am enjoying Dead Silence, it reminds me of the movie Ghost Ship. I am hoping to finally be finished with it this week. I might pick up a Manga but I haven’t decided which one I want to read next.

Happy Mother’s day! Good luck with the job hunt. I started my design career as a freelancer too. Then 10 years later, many changes of direction, from agency to in-house through consulting. It’s about finding what you love doing <3
I’ve been doing it for 25 years and last year was let go. So I’ve had my business for 5 now. I do a lot with it and I love it but I miss having a full time job. I miss the consistency but I will always have my side business. Unless I can make it a full time thing. Finger crossed. Maybe.
