Week in READview:

On & Off the Blog:

& Passover and to those that don’t celebrate Happy Sunday!

We did out Easter last week with the family and it was a nice day. Yesterday I had the kids open their Easter baskets since my husband has to work today and I wanted him to be here when they opened it. My kids will get baskets forever lol at 14 and 17 I can’t resist getting them a few things and yummy treats from the “Easter Bunny”

The job hunt is still going and I haven’t really found much yet. The job I interviewed for two weeks ago called me and said that they aren’t hiring at the moment for the position I applied for because the client that they got needs more video editing than design but he does plan to hire someone. I left a nice note just letting him know I am still interested when the time comes, but will continue to look and build my business while I wait but I don’t plan to wait forever so I will keep looking.

Have a few posts done and plan to spend sometime today organizing the rest of the month and what I want to post on the blog. I read a lot of Manga in the beginning of the year so I plan to review those stories that I read. The dirty one was posted this week but was such a good manga. Never new a book called Dick Fight Island would have such deep characters and an interesting story. I have volume 2 so I plan to read that one soon.

Next month I will be back to doing My TBR List. I have missed it so much but I needed this break to get my shit together. While it’s not together it is at a better place that I can get back to it and the distraction is much needed.

Busy week of Barnes and Noble this week and it looks like they are planning to update the store a little so that will be a fun transition to watch. While I hate the pay, I do love that store and being around all those books. Plus it smells amazing in that building…smells like books and chocolate chip cookies. 🙂

Read & Currently Reading:

I seem to be the slowest reader on the planet at the moment, the book I am currently reading is taking forever to get through but I am still on track to finish it this week and start my next read. I might throw in another manga to read at the same time so if I need a change I can read something a little quicker.

Just a reminder…

  1. Since I didn’t grow up celebrating Easter (or anything) I didn’t realize kids get Easter baskets full of stuff LOL! Dante has an empty basket which he has to go fill himself on his Easter egg hunt lol 😉 But I think I’m okay with that tradition (it’ll be cheaper hahaha). You know I’m rooting for you and BELIEVE that at some point soon you’ll have the job you were hoping for and be so happy! HUGS <3

  2. I’m glad you’re enjoying the job though I do wish the pay was better. Hopefully something will turn up soon that will be exactly right for you. My 12 year old got an Easter basket too and will for at least as long as he lives here. Enjoy your books and have a wonderful week!

  3. I had to laugh at your comment about your teenagers getting baskets forever. Over the weekend my 14 year old niece discovered that her mom (my sister) wasn’t planning on making her a basket. After a few minutes she said, “I think I’m going to cry.” Needless to say, she had a basket the next morning. LOL I hope your week is off to a good start, Michelle!

  4. Happy Easter!
Ahh that’s great, nothing wrong with having them enjoy holidays traditions 😊 mother usually get me a chocolate for easter, well except this year because we were all home with covid so.. 😅

Goodluck with the job search!! It’s always tedious.. though I always get the jobs that I applied « just in case », or even « as a joke »; I got my current job, and one called me like a month after I was expecting them for an interview 🤦🏽‍♀️ I’m like well… too bad, im not searching anymore.

  5. Goblin was good. Glad you enjoyed the holiday. We often have it on another day depending on who has the Royals. This was the first year our son wasn’t here and I missed him horribly. He moved to Florida this year and is enjoying the beach every weekend. Hugs, my friend. I know the perfect job is out there.

  6. I love that you still do Easter baskets with your kids. My parents did baskets until I was about 14. Once I got in high school, they quit. My husband and I normally do baskets for each other and I love it. I don’t think you’re ever too old to celebrate a holiday. I hope you and your family had a good Easter.
