Real life, Blogging & Reading:
So how are you? Life around here got so crazy, I had to bail out for a bit. We all know what is going on around the world so I wont be talking about that. I am talking before the crazy started. In February things got a little crazy around here.
- First we get a call from the town overs police department because my husbands name came up in an open investigation. Long Story short they are trying to pin something on him that isn’t even him. Once the world goes back to normal he will have to clear it up but that caused a shit load of stress we didn’t need.
- My son was suspended from school for being as ass. We worked it out but he now has stricter rules at home and at school. He is getting to big to do stupid stuff especially since if he does stuff when he turns 18 I wont be able to help him so he needs to learn now what is proper and what is not.
- At the end of the month my dad had a heart attack. I wish it was just a simple heart attack that he went in had a bypass and came out. My dad is a very complicated case and doesn’t take care of himself no matter how often we told him he needed too. He want into emergency on Feb 28th and is still currently in the hospital. He had a triple bypass and also had his stints put in to help his vascular system since he had blockages everywhere. Quick tip: Get checked and go to the doctors. Because of what happened and him not taking care of himself his body is breaking down in areas that we didn’t even know was an issue. We are trying to stay positive since we can’t see him anymore.
- And then the pandemic.
Overall that is pretty much enough stress to last me a good 5 years. I was doing good until the world fell apart. I hope you are all staying safe and healthy! I miss the Sunday posts but I wanted to take a break. I might not be doing it every week, pretty much only when I have something to share or stuff to tell. This might turn into a once a month thing for me for now.
Blogging is going very slow but I am looking to get back to it soon. I need a sense of normal and my blog is the distraction I need. Reading is going ok, I have been busy so I am reading slower than normal but I am ok with it since I am reading.
OH! Before I forget….COYER IS BACK! If you aren’t part of the Facebook group, you need to join, we did a Facebook Live to explain it all and we are so excited about what we have planned for COYER. So if you are stuck inside this COYER is for you! Come join the group or check out the post tomorrow which will break down all the details. A lot of what is going on will be exclusive to the group only. In times of crisis we need out friends and the book community is the best for keeping us all together and sane! 🙂
Can you Read a Series in a Month Challenge is back! Sign Up will start on April 1st. The challenge starts in May. I hope you will join us!
Stay Safe friends! <3

I’m all about being social so this is stressful on me too. But I’ve found some theater events in my community that are live streaming so I’m happy..I feel connected to people at a different level now. Here’s a new connection. This is my first visit to your blog @theglobaldig.blogspot.com
Flipping heck! You’re not kidding about the stress! I’d be in a padded cell hugging myself if I were in your position so I admire how you’re handling it!
It’s nice to see you back, even on occasion! Take care of yourself!
I’m so sorry that so many things have come at you even before this virus mess. Be safe and well!
Way too much stress! You should have a free pass for at least the rest of the year! Hope you can find a few calm distractions to enjoy during everyone’s quiet time. Take care of you and yours!
I have been trying to relax and just take each day. I am thinking after all of this we should all be good for the rest of the year! 🙂
Sorry about all the stress. Hopefully your dad gets better soon. I hope you have a good week!
Thank you AJ
Oh I’m so sorry to hear all that Michelle! Best wishes to you and prayers for your dad too- I hope he makes a full recovery and is better soon. Heart issues run in my family and I’ve had my own run- in so I feel for the guy. You take care during all this stress!
Good luck with your husbands’ situation too- that must be so stressful. As if the pandemic isn’t bad enough right now…
Be safe and take care this week!
Thank you Greg! We know it will be a slow recovery just didn’t expect the world to fall apart at the same time.
It so stupid that we had to get a lawyer just so they can tell them it isn’t him. They are trying so hard to pin it on him with no evidence. I can give them 100 reasons why it is not him. One big one is the guy in the video doesn’t have a beard. My husband has a beard, had one for 5 years.
When I do stuff, I like to have it happen all at the same time, lol
What a month you’ve had! I’m so sorry to hear all this and hope things are getting better. We almost got sued once because someone in TX was suing a guy with the exact same name who had just moved to our area. The process server did absolutely no work to verify that my husband was the person he was looking for but because we had been served the papers that made us liable. Luckily the prosecuting attorney was willing to talk to him and was understanding but apparently they didn’t have to and if they hadn’t he would have had to fly to Texas to show up for the court date to prove he wasn’t that guy or he’d have been arrested and transported. And of course all on our dime that wouldn’t be reimbursed. They tried to serve us again but I looked up where the other guy worked and sent them to the real person – the guy was a football coach at a local high school and I had no issue with him being served at work! It’s so frustrating that your life can be turned on it’s ear for nothing. I hope everything is resolved quickly and your dad takes care of himself. I have an uncle who is like that and it’s so frustrating! Hope this week is way way better for you.
So crazy, I had called my Dad as soon as this happened (before he had a heart attack) he got his lawyer involved because they really want to pin it on him. Like they planned this entire interigation. I can give them 100 reason why it’s not him.
I hope my dad will listen after all this, I miss him being home but I know he is better off in the hospital because he is considered high risk now.
You have had a lot to dill with on top of this stupid virus crap, that sucks! *hugs* Hope things get better soon for everyone!
I usually prefer everything to fall apart at the same time instead of spread out. lol I feel like I am stuck in a weird reality.
You are just buried in it right now, aren’t you?? I’m so sorry!
I’m so sorry about your dad… And with everything else going on… I’m sure you’re just overwhelmed.
Prayers!
Thank you Christine…It’s like I am living in a crazy reality but I am hoping it all passes soon and we can all get back to normal.
I’m so sorry it’s been rough for you Michelle, do what you need to to take care of yourself during this time. Wishing you and your family the best. Be well!
Thank you Shelleyrae! Wish you the same! Stay Safe!
All I can say is hang in there. We all just have to do the best we can. You are helping in your own way by having the COYER support group back in full action. I think you should make the May RAT for COYER to Read a Series in a Month. I kind of hope some of the RATs last a month so they are easier to track dates.
Our spring break ends today and we have been home for a week. My daughter starts online classes tomorrow and I hope that goes well. I know she can handle it but school is her primary interaction so I hope she does ok being even more isolated.
Have a healthy week and try to relax with a good read!
Anne – Books of My Heart Here is my Sunday Post
I have to admit home Schooling isn’t going too bad. The kids are really doing what they are suppose to do and I am super proud of them.
Read a series is not linked with COYER but I can try and figure out how to include it maybe. Lot of people don’t like month long readathons. Readathons are suppose to be short and we want to have lots of options throughout the year to keep everyone busy.
Fingers crossed for your daughter. My son is doing good but I can see sometimes he has a hard time staying focused.
Oh my goodness Michelle! I am so sorry you are going through ALL of that. That is a LOT for one person to handle. My dad is in a similiar situation-he simply won’t change his habits to help his health. He now has a pacemaker. He also has diabetes, drop foot, and many other issues but he doesn’t really manage any of them. Its frustrating and scary.
Hoping things improve for you soon!!!
Dads can be a pain sometimes. They never want to listen. I am hoping with everything that has happened he will finally start to make some changes. My mom needs to make sure of that too. She tends to give in but my sister and I will keep on them, now because we are not doing this again.
Yeah 2020 is turning out to be a rough year… Sending you big virtual hugs. At least we have our friends and books! I’m so glad we decided to do COYER. That fb live was my best 45 minutes of the last week I think! ❤️❤️
It was fun and I am feeling extra bookish this week. I think it’s exactly what I need, a great distraction.
WOw, one thing after another and now this?! Most of us were having a hard time before this and just didn’t need an actual pandemic added on top. It certainly does feel crazy right now. I hope things start to look up and your dad makes it through! Stay safe!
I just miss him since we can’t see him. I am hoping things settle down I can’t believe how crazy things are right now.
