Week in READview:

So as I am writing this it is Friday, April 26th, I am currently still in Florida. We are leaving tomorrow April 27th to drive the full 16 hours home. We were going to leave on Friday but decided to stay an extra day and drive straight home. We should be home by about 2am Sunday morning. So I am probably sleeping as you read this.

This was the vacation I needed. I wasn’t sure what to expect since the last time we came it was really boring but I guess as we get older things change and it was very relaxing. I am not a fan of the beach but every day this week my daughter and I spend at least 3 hours or more in the ocean jumping over waves and collecting shells. We are burnt to a crisp but it was totally worth it. I had such fun with the kids and my husband. We went to Magic Kingdom one day and it was good, crowded, but not too bad. It is an hour from where we are staying so we only visited on park this time. The condo is next to the beach so the view was amazing and our room was right next to the balcony so every night I fell asleep to the sound of the ocean. (and my husband snoring)

I was hoping to read a lot more but I just didn’t do as much and I am ok with that. I am currently reading The Gutter Prayer and Loving it so I will continue at home. This was the break I needed and  believe we will be doing it again next year. I am feeling super bloggy and ready to tackle some design work, this week helped me clear my head and put in place what is really important, my family and my health, they will always come first but I will also focus on what I love to do, all the rest can just wash away with the sea foam. Each wave brings a new adventure and sometimes it knocks you down but each time I got back up and waited for the next one, I am ready to see what those waves have planned for me next. I also might have to listen to ocean sounds when I sleep because I am really going to miss that sound at night. 🙂

I will have a full Sunday Post next week but I just wanted to pop in and say hello!

I really did miss you all very much.

  1. I’m glad you got the vacation that you needed! I’ve always wanted to go to Florida. I am looking forward to the Read a Series in a Month challenge. I’m just trying to find a good series. All of the one’s I want to read are so long! Have a good week!

  2. Your vacation sounds awesome and very refreshing and like you were able to recharge. It’s probably not the same but they do have tons of albums with ocean sounds on Apple Music and spotify that’s how me and my youngest fall asleep.

  3. Your family holiday in Florida sounded perfect, Michelle. Well apart from the sunburn – Ouch! The picture you shared makes me hopelessly jealous; the sand, gentle waves, setting sun…
I hope your journey home was uneventful and I am looking forward to reading your next Sunday Post.

  4. Glad you had a good time! Sounds like a good vacation! Any vacation involving Disney World sounds good to me! Lol! I’m itching to get back there myself but it’s looking more like 2021 will be the year. Sigh… Hope you get lots of rest to recoup!
