Books:
I grabbed a few books this week. One was a book box book but I wont say which box just incase you get it. I also grabbed Bloody Rose since I already have the first book and this one was on sale for $2.99. I also got a new proper romance that seems like a really great read. I am in a weird reading mood and worried I wont finish my TBR list book this month but I am planning to start it so I might just have an update post for it with a what I think so far if I am not finished by next Saturday.

Real life & Blogging:
The weather is STUPID and I hate it. This week we had a heatwave and I am pretty sure my skin melted off my body, I am better now. Last weekend we took a trip to the furniture store to get a new couch since ours broke. It was 14 years old and it was bad timing but we needed a new one. I had my eye on one that I was just so in love with. It was a couch and a oversized chair and ottoman. I was worried it was gone since before we went I didn’t see it on the website. As soon as I walked in the store I was so in love. The couch is so comfy and the chair is totally my chair. My reading, blogging, design and gaming spot, now I just need to work on my husbands choice of TV watching. I added pictures of what it looks like in the just for fun section.
Working a lot behind the scenes of the blog but mostly on paper and getting stuff ready for September. I am hoping to get some blogging stuff done with week or at least starting to prep the stuff I have on paper into drafts. The blog will continue to be quiet but I do have a few things that will pop up in the next few weeks.
What I am watching:
Since I was listening to an audio book I wasn’t watching anything. Now that I have my big comfy chair I am hoping to binge watch more and maybe even get my husband to watch some shows with me.
What I am playing:
The Sims is still the object of my obsession, I am so in love with building houses and lots. If I can get some more pictures I will share them next week. Some of the houses even have me impressed with my sim building skills. 🙂
Just for Fun:
So tell me what have you been reading and up to this week?
Hope you all have a fantastic week!!!
Happy Reading

Buying a couch is not easy! My husband and I have such different comforts. He loves recliners and I don’t like reclining but like having my feet up. Your couch would have been perfect! I’m scouting for a reading chair very similar to that to go in my little reading nook. Just one more thing that still needs done after the move.
I hope your plans for September are shaping up. I just had a fantastic idea pop into my head and I need to sit down and work out the details. I can’t wait to see what you have stewing! 🙂
The cover for Spin the Dawn is so pretty! I hope it’s a good read too.
We had a heatwave this week, so I know how you felt :(. It’s no fun when it’s too warm.
Your new couch looks so comfy!
Love the new couch! Glad that you were able to have a silver lining, even if the timing of the broken couch was less than ideal. 🙂
Oddmire looks pretty good! And congrats on the couch haha- looks awesome and super copmfy. I think I’d pick out a reading/ blogging/ binge watching spot too and never leave lol.
I hate the heat- I agree the weather has been stupid hot. So over it. 🙂
Hope you have a nice week Michelle!
Ember in The Ashes has an awesome cover. I’d like to read it at some point.
I love the new sofa! It looks awesome and so comfy!
I love that couch!!! It’s so big and looks so comfy! I’m with you on the pillows. I love them! 😍 I hope Kiss of the Spindle was good!
It is so comfy. I swear I don’t ever want to leave it.
The Kiss of the Spindle was so good. I totally loved it. 🙂
Oooh! Is this your first time reading Ember? I hope you love it! I’ve heard great things about Spin the Dawn. I hope you have a great week!
Yes this is my first time reading it. I am looking forward to it and have a feeling if I love it, it will turn into a binge read! 🙂
That couch looks so comfortable,!
Have a great reading week, and stay cool!
It is, I barely moved from it all weekend. lol
Its so miserably hot here as well. Today is suppose to be the last “dangerously hot” day before we get some relief. Love the couch!!
I think out temp goes down tonight also. I can’t wait. At the moment I am thankful the AC is working so well.
Thank you! I am currently sitting on it as I type this! 🙂
Your new couch, chair and ottoman DO look very comfortable! And it’s so important to have a nice little corner to work / blog and have fun!
I hope the weather will cool down a little, so you won’t melt completely 😉
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading! I miss you!! xoxo
