Week in READview:

So I spoke too soon last week, since my account for unemployment was never really set up, there was is an error on my account so I wasn’t able to claim my money because it had no place to go since I never said how I wanted it sent. So I wanted to do direct deposit well that needs to be faxed in and guess what after 2 days of trying the number wasn’t working and I had to mail it! So now I wait YET AGAIN for that to go through and then I can claim however, I don’t know when that will happen and will have to call again on Monday to find out how I find out when the direct deposit is linked to my account. I have been so stressed this week, I honestly got nothing done…

BUT wait there is more…

That wasn’t the only reason why I feel this week was longer than January. On Sunday they were calling for a major snow storm. Well it was one hell of a storm by the time it was over we had 27 inches of snow and since my driveway is HUGE, it took us 9 hours to shovel (2 hours on Monday and 7 on Tuesday) because our big snowblower up and died on us. Finally after realizing we had about 3 more hours worth of work we found a few stoners that agreed to do it and my husband and I went back upstairs and pretty much died. I have never felt this type of exhaustion in my entire life. My eyes hurt from being awake, the rest of the week I was totally wiped out.

BUT wait there is more….

Since the snow messed up the week, my daughters cheerleading was cancelled so guess what, the rest of the week was cheerleading!!! The practice was super late Wednesday and Thursday from 7 to 9/9:30 then on Saturday she had practice at 1 to 2:30 and 4 to 6. I feel like I couldn’t even relax since I had to leave the house every night since the cheer gym is about half hour away.

BUT wait there is more…

It’s going to snow another 3 to 6 inches today, not as bad and the little snowblower we have should be able to do the job but…I love the cold weather, I just have about had it with the snow, I just can’t do this again, my knees have been crying since Tuesday. Plus I have no more room to put any more snow. This better be the last snow for this winter!

BUT wait…just kidding, that was all that happened this week. I am going to take a nap now see you in June. 😉

Obviously reading and blogging just didn’t happen and I am ok with it, just need to take care of the unemployment and once that is good and I start getting the money, things will be better. ***FINGERS CROSSED****

Today we usually have a Super Bowl hoopla, but with the snow I am not sure if we will, I still plan to make some yummy food since we have to eat but I plan to keep it smaller. I will be watching the Puppy and Kitten Bowl. 🙂

  1. I will take our billion degree summers and humidity and mosquitos that carry off small animals over snow any day! I hate being cold with a passion and I would have died about half an hour into shoveling the driveway if I made it that long! I hope unemployment gets its act together as I can’t imagine how frustrating this has to be. Get lots of rest!

  2. Jumping through all the hoops for unemployment on top of the fact that it doesn’t seem to go smoothly much of the time has to be so frustrating. I am sure it will be relief when it’s all done and everything goes through finally. Twenty-seven inches of snow! And all that shoveling . . . There’s a reason I don’t live in a place that gets snow. I hope you are able to rest finally. All that snow and late night cheerleading practices . . . You deserve a week of spa days at the very least. And lost of naps. I hope you have a much better and relaxing week, Michelle!

  3. But wait… haha! Seriously though, that snow. We got dumped on too and the poor FedEx girl got stuck on our road. Good times. This cracked me up though ” we found a few stoners that agreed to do it”

    • I swear they opened the door to the car and half the neighborhood was high but it was all we could find and I was totally done lol

  4. I’m sorry it was such a frustrating week for you, and tiring. I always loved the snow in Minnesota; it was energizing. Of course, the roads people were used to this kind of thing constantly for at least 4 months a year. I never had a snow blower until the last place but I did lots of shoveling. It was exciting like a survival against the elements things. I can’t say I miss it too much here we only get 2-3 days which doesn’t stick. I can go on a skiing vacation if I need snow. Good luck with everything this week!

  5. I’m so sorry about your stressful week. The unemployment issue has been a nightmare for so many people. I do hope it gets resolved soon.
I would be more than happy to have all of that snow. Please mail all of it to me!

  6. I’m exhausted just reading about having to shovel that much snow. Nope. No thank you! I’d just stay inside my house and refuse to leave. I do love snow though. I’m currently incredibly salty that most of the UK is covered in it but my area doesn’t even get a flake! Just below freezing temperatures. Grrr!

Fingers crossed this week brings better things – including your unemployment payments!

  7. I can’t believe what a pain it is to file your unemployment, you’ve been working so long on this already. It feels like they should make that easier. My boyfriend is unemployed and I remember it was a pretty smooth process here. That sounds very stressful that it’s such a pain to get done and you still don’t know what will happen. Hopefully you can get it sorted soon.

That’s a lot of snow you got! We just got hit by a snow storm today, luckily we don’t have a driveway so no shoveling that needs to be done. That sounds like a lot of effort, I hope you feel better soon!

I hope next week is a better one for you. I get tired just reading everything that happened to you this week.
