Week in READview:
On & Off the Blog:
New Year and I am back to blogging. I have missed chatting with all of you and just talking about books and all the things that I love. I spent a quiet New Years with my family and had off on Monday. The last two weekends has been cheer comps because we are back in the season. While I love watching my daughter perform, it takes up a lot of my weekends to do other stuff. Next week there will be no comps but after that we have a comp every weekend, Saturday and Sunday, which is going to be a struggle. I think I’ll be exhausted until the season is over in late April.
Work has been busy as always, this week was no exception. We are just always crazy busy which is a huge change from my last job that was incredibly slow. I love it, something about being busy is just awesome, I love the feeling of accomplishment and my designs have been getting better now I am doing a lot more than I used to do and I am loving the creativity.
I was able to make a few posts last week and I am hoping to have a few more this week but I am still trying to find a balance and figure out what I want to post and share. So my Jan will be a bit of trial and error until I can figure out what the heck I am doing, lol.
Read & Currently Reading:
I am buddy reading The Agathas with Berls and just kind of reading Master of Salt & Bones on the side for a little spice.

I am glad to hear you’re back to blogging! I’ve been struggling with a winter dip and haven’t been around as much to visit other blogs.
That’s fun your daughter’s cheerleading season has started again, but it sure sounds like it makes for busy and full weekend. I recently read a book with a cheerleader main character which made me think of you and your daughter as you always share pictures on Facebook I could image what the competitions in the book were like.
That’s good you work is busy. although hopefully you have some quieter moments too. That’s great you get to use your creativity so much during your work.
Nice haul! I heard a lot of good things about Legends and Lattes. I hope you’ll enjoy it.
Welcome back to blogging! My sister played volleyball when we were both teenagers, and I feel like I barely saw my parents during my teenage years. There was volleyball stuff pretty much every day. I hope you’re having a great week!
I had friends whose kids did cheer and it was like a second job! I had two in competitive soccer and that was enough of a challenge! Finding that balance is so challenging but I love how enthusiastic and happy you sound. You so deserve it after the last little while you’ve had. I’m looking forward to seeing you around the blog world more! Have a great week!
Curious to see if you like Master of Salt & Bones. It looks sooooo good.
Having to be gone all weekend for cheer is rough! I imagine Julia gets pretty tired too, since she has school during the week. I pray Dante likes something simple and cheap like, I don’t know, chess? LOL Is that cheap? Surely there aren’t weekly tournaments!
Chess can be very competitive! Lol
I hope this week is a good one for you.
It’s all about balance and that can be tough to find. I want to do everything and when I do something I focus on it so completely I lose the balance so I tend to alternate things. I hope you find what works for you!
