Week in READ-view is a post I have posted every Sunday telling what have I been up to during the week and I thought it would be great to link it with The Sunday Postโฆ.The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Itโs a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
Oh well I think I might be in a slump. I can’t find the motivation to read or blog like I was. So I have taken the weekend off to just try and organize some stuff, I fixed up my blogger book since I am old fashioned and feel better writing things down but I also use iCal on my iPad. I am happy to say I am feeling a lot better. I think taking sometime every now and again is like a reboot. I had some ideas in my head I was able to write down and I didn’t feel so rushed about what I needed or wanted to do. I am totally lacking original content so I have a chance in the next couple of days to come up with some stuff. I am working on my confidence this year so the “original” stuff I have been holding back on because I am scared people will think it’s stupid. At this age I thought I would be over this but apparently I am not. I think the next step in getting over it is just to make a post or two and see what happens. I’m still a nervous wreck lol
So I really didn’t read as much as I wanted to this week ๐
but I did add a bunch of books to my kindle thanks to Amazon and the free books
but first this is what happened….

Berls @Fantasy is more fun & Reanna @ Phantasmic Reads and I are doing a new feature called “Was it good for you?” Pretty much the three of us read the same books then come together to chat about what we thought. We are hoping to do this once a month. Three different opinions on one book… I can’t wait to see what we all think. I have very strong opinions on this book. Stay tuned for this later this month ๐
This months reads are from my actual bookshelf, I wanted to try and get to a few of them before COYER starts next month then it’s all Netgalley and Edelweiss reads ๐
So….I was going to read The Fault in Our Stars but I chickened out and Just started an ARC of Sing Sweet Nightingale by Erica Cameron
Next I might read The Fault in Our Stars (maybe)
or The Forbidden Library by Django Wexler
ย I also was on edelweiss even though I promised myself not to… Since they are on my bookshelf Iย planned to read to read the first two (House of Secrets & The School of Good and Evil) this month. When I saw book two for both of them Iย squealed with delight and downloaded themย immediately…. Thank you Harper Collins ๐
These are the books I downloaded from Amazon
I also received this for review, I am so excited about it since it has been a book I have wanted to read for a while now and I am so honored she asked me to read it for her.
What else is going on?
Lots of friggin snow and a nasty ice storm. NJ has been a hoot the last two months lol. If I keep taking days off I will never no vacation time in the summer and by the time all the snow finally melts I’m going to need a canoe.
This weekend we are celebrating my little mans 9th birthday we got him the Xbox 360 so he can play minecraft and a few other games. He is super excited and that makes me very happy. We went to the Rainforest Cafe on Saturday and now tonight it’s his pick for dinner and of course he wants Pizza. I am also going to make him a cake, If I can I will post the picture If it’s not done before this post is live I will post it next month. It will look like the minecraft cake that you can make in the game. I hope he loves it ๐

Happy Birthday Ryan!! I saw the pic of the cake on FB and since I haven’t played Mine Craft I don’t get the reference, but it sure looked yummy LOL
And I say “go for it!” I know you have great ideas and in my experience, no one will make you feel like your ideas are bad. They haven’t done it to me yet and I do some crazy things. Hugs!
I posted an original picture on FB. Mine looks better ๐ minecraft is fun I actually enjoy playing it with the kids.
It makes me crazy I waited so long to overcome this fear. I have a few ideas I will throw out soon ๐ you do, do crazy things! PowerPoint comes to mind lmao!!!
Happy Birthday to your little guy! My kids love Minecraft! Excellent book haul. Stay warm while you enjoy them. ๐
Thank You ๐
But you still post every day, as a new book blogger, one thing I learned in the first few weeks: it does take a lot of dedication. And when you have other things going on i.e. a day job, family etc. And there are always so many good books and so less time. I like your Clean Out Your E-Reader Challenge, gosh, do I need to!
My Sunday Post here
you should join us! We are doing it 3 times a year if you can’t do it this time, Join us next time, It really motivates me and I am really looking forward to it. Plus it’s a lot of fun to read everyones reviews and chat (tend to add more books then read them) lol
The Forbidden Library looks adorable! I hope it is adorable as the cover!
I have seen a few reviews that it was good so I have my fingers crossed ๐
It helps sometimes to take a break and recharge- I’m sure your original content will be great. You have some fun looking new books, I think The Forbidden Library looks cool and so does Backward Compatible (love that cover!). All the downloads actually look pretty good!
We like going to Rainforest Cafe too once in a while, we’ve become big fans of the Volcano dessert!
I am very much looking forward to The Forbidden Library. Do you read MG? I suggest the Keepers Series by Lain Tanner. Looking at your blog you seem like someone who might enjoy them, I loved the series. Just thought I would mention it ๐
My kids love the rainforest. VOLCANO!!!! cracks me up then they yell that. We got two since we had 9 people and my nephew is a big boy (growing boy many be better he very tall for a 12 year old about 5’9″) and he can pretty much eat one all by himself. They are so yummy ๐
Hope your son has a great birthday. My family in NJ feels the same way you do. As for your slump..unplugging really helps. I try to do it at least once a month. Have an awesome week!
Thank you ๐ As much as I thought I was back to normal I realize now I still am a little slumpy. Just going to sit and try to relax today. Hoping it goes away soon. I really want to get into my current read ๐
I will get an ARC of Sing Sweet Nightingale for a blog tour review, but haven’t received it yet. It sounds like a good read, let’s hope it’s as good as it sounds!
I read the prequel for You Are Mine some time ago and ever sicne then I have been wanting to read You Are Mine too, but I have been so busy with review books that I haven’t gotten around to reading it yet. The prequel was really good.
I am part of her street team so I got the book early but I didn’t make it on the tour, was so bummed but I might have her do a guest post for me once I get the review ready. I will have to look that one up. I am so excited to read it. I have refused a lot of review requests because it gets so overwhelming. I wish I could read everyone books but I just don’t have time for that and the books I want to read ๐
YAY for The Fault in Our Stars! LOVED! I know what you mean. Sometimes old insecurities creep up on us even in adulthood! But this is your blog, post about what you want to post about. I think the book blogging community is typically really supportive so I find it hard to believe anyone would do something like comment and tell you that your idea is stupid. ๐ Because it’s probably genius! Hope you have a great week!

I feel goofy for even thinking that way but I am getting better I hope considering I put myself out there on these posts I guess I can try to be a bit more original ๐ Maybe I will come up with a genius idea lol that would be awesome ๐
Ooh nice haul! Hope you enjoy all your new reads!
