Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Itβs a chance to share news, post a recap of the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
On the Blog & Real Life:
This week was another crazy/busy week, I did a lot of design work and still have a couple more things to do, I am very excited about it. I haven’t been able to work on many posts but I am hoping to get some of that done this week.
COYER is now on TWITTER, I spent Friday setting it up the twitter account and the new website is almost finished. You can check it out if you want HERE! I am very excited that we decided to do a twitter account and website, it will be so much easier to keep up with COYER this way and you wont have to run around trying to find who to sign up with or which one of us is doing an update post. Twitter Parties will now have a host manning the twitter page. I am also very happy that we already have 35 people signed up. This COYER is going to be so much fun but I need to get moving on a new social media game that needs some design work. I will be working on that this week I hope. One two weeks until COYER Summer Vacation starts!
COYER is only two weeks away, with no rules this time around I am hoping you will consider joining us. So don’t forget to sign up!
I am actually very happy school is almost over, not that I get to take off, but it means not having to make lunches or rushing home to get homework and dinner finished. It is a little more laid back in the summer and with my son having extended school year it should be a very nice couple of months that will allow me to read more. Next year my son will be in the same school group but going to a different school. He has had the same Teacher, Principal and Counselor since he started in 1st grade. He will be in 6th grade and now that means a new teacher, new principal and new counselors, I am so worried this change is going to be very hard on him. I think it might be some getting used to for me too. I have known these people for 5 years and feel comfortable with them. Kind of sad that it’s all going to be different and now have to learn to trust new people. September should be fun *sigh* going to enjoy the summer for now and fingers crossed that this change will be good for him.
I am really kind of boring this week. Maybe next week will be more exciting π I have a party to go to today so I will be around to comment later and reply.

Hope you all have a fantastic week!!!
Happy Reading
Middle school is a different kind of beast than elementary. As a sixth grade teacher, the best thing I can say as a parent is always approach in a kind manner. So many parents don’t get the full story from their children – or the truth at all – and completely lose their minds and decorum. This past year we saw a spike in parents who would never address concerns with the teacher in question, and would blow up at the principals and we’d all end up in a mandatory 12-16 people meetings that were unnecessary. Teachers are there to help and teach, so I’m sure your son’s new teachers will be just as great.
Taking off my teacher hat, I am so excited about summer! I’ve spent the past two days doing absolutely nothing but playing games on my phone and watching TV – and I’ve loved it! Tomorrow I need to get back to the reading and start working on the blog work again….and planning my vacation! π
I am happy to hear you got a lot of design work! Although I know what you mean that more work means less time for blog posts.
I am really excited that coyer now has a twitter account and website, I think it will be easier to keep track of everything knowing there is one central place for everything and I assume it will be handy for you you who host this challenge as well. The website looks great!
That sounds like a big change how your son gets a new teacher and such in September, fingers crossed the change goes smoothly for both of you.
Your dog and cat are so adorable in that picture! I hope you’ll have a great week!
I am happy about it, I just love doing it and it’s so much fun to be able to design stuff for people since at work I tend to not be able to do that.
Can you believe it took us this long to think of it lol I am glad we decided to do it now, will make it so much easier.
Thank you, we will need all the fingers crossed he can get.
Thank you, they usually chase each other around but this was cute, plus he got his bed back for a day since she usually sleeps in it.
I can’t believe the summer holidays are nearly here!! This year is going far too quickly!!
Have a great week!
It really is flying by, I really wish it would slow down just a little bit.
I bet that is going to be a little hard on Ryan next year but I hope things will go smoothly. I hope you have a great summer and enjoy the break before school starts again and chaos ensues. π Enjoy those weekends at the shore (so jealous…lol).
I am a little curious about Her Cold Revenge and noticed it was book two so I put book one on my wishlist. π
Have a great week!
Stormi
Me too, It is a hard adjustment since he has known these people for 5 years. I am very worried about him.
You have to come visit so you can come down and hang out. I think you will love it down there.
I want to read the first book, grabbed the send one hoping I will like the first.
I completely understand your concerns about next year for Ryan; change is hard for most kids and with his being on the spectrum it’s even harder. He’s just so lucky to have you to help and support him through the change! Hopefully they’ve been and will continue to prepare him for the change at school! I’m so excited for our website, it’s looking good! I just added social media, fixed the subscribe via email, and added an instagram account. Now it’s time for me to start drafting some templates for updates and signup post! Thank goodness summer is here! too bad I need to find a job :/
Thank you! I saw and I am so excited about the website. If you need help with the templates let me know, I can always write a few and you will just have to proof and make sure it makes sense π
Good Luck on the job fine! I hope you can find something a lot better!
So excited for COYER! Not sure how much I’ll actually get to participate since our move is the same week COYER starts but I still can’t wait π Hope you enjoy this summer break with your kiddos. I’m so not looking forward to fall with little man starting Kindergarten. I know I should be, but I’m terrified and it means my baby isn’t such a baby anymore. I’ll be thinking about you and your son this fall as he makes the move to middle school. Hope you have a great week!
That change isn’t only hard on the kids but the parents too. I totally know how you feel π
You have plenty of time to get your COYER reads in and just think you will be all settled by the time Winter COYER comes around π
I am so, so ready for summer, Michelle! There will be a lot of changes in my family, too, though. My two oldest both graduate from high school in June. My #3 is changing schools, and #4 has had a lot of trouble with her teacher this year – and we finally have a meeting with him, the principal and some other people tomorrow.
I’m very happy about the COYER twitter account and the website, too, and I can hardly wait for COYER to start up again.
Have a fabulous week ahead and happy reading. *hugs*
Sorry your little one was having problems. I hope you can work it out.
I can’t wait either, I also read so much better when COYER is going π lol
I love the design you came up with for me. I can’t wait to show it off. π Everyone around here is talking about the end of the school year and all I can think of is how my daughter will be starting school the end of August. Time sure does fly!
I am looking forward to reading your thoughts on Stalking Jack the Ripper. I like the cover. π
Have a great week, Michelle!
I will send you over all the final files unless you can use the ones I sent but I will email you tonight.
It really does, I can’t believe my oldest is in 6th grade. I am looking forward to at least two months of no crazy schedule. However Ryan has summer school so it’s still early mornings but a lot less stressed.
Stalking Jack was so good! I want to make a post of my favorite reads so far this is for sure on the top of the list.
Nice updates for COYER, looking forward to all the reviews this time! And hope your summe gets off to a great start.
Stalking Jack the Ripper looks fun. π
We are very excited about it, now sure why we wait so long but I think it’s a good time to start since COYER has become a little more popular.
Stalking jack was SOOOOOOO Good!
