WIR vectorstock_43821-1-1Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Itโ€™s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Blog News:

It has been a full week of COYER but with Kindergarten Graduation for my daughter, my new laptop and my husband’s first day at his new job it’s been a crazy week for us. I haven’t been able to visit to many blogs and I realize I say that all the time and it bums me out because I feel like I miss so much but with everything FINALLY (I hope) settling down and with the new computer (mine mine mine) I will have more time to visit & comment.

If you are a part of COYER please don’t forget to join the FB group. We have some really good conversations going on over there and it’s been a lot of fun chatting and getting to know new people ๐Ÿ™‚

The First COYER Read-a-thon is this weekend so if you want to join you can you don’t have to be part of COYER to join in ๐Ÿ™‚ The post with the linky and all the information will be up on Monday afternoon!!! Also stop by later today for the COYER Summer Vacation Update Post.

Books I got this week

I was such a good girl I did not get any books this week! Yay! ๐Ÿ™‚

What else is going on?

ย MY LAPTOP IS HERE!!!!!!

Since I am starting from scratch with this one I really didn’t have to much to set-up and was able to get started playing around. I had to add a few things from my desktop but that was just blogger stuff so it was it. The only think I need is a Mouse and a case to carry it in. Might be getting those today.

My husband started his new “job”. Well actually he’s been working for them for a couple weeks now but they finally moved him to the building and out of my dad’s shop. It’s a big change for all of us since he leaves here at 5:00am to and gets home about 4:30. The new place is an hour away but so far he said it’s not bad and the pay is really good so we can’t complain to much. Lol

My daughter is finally out of school but my son goes back on Tuesday for the extended school year for kids with special needs, it’s half days and only until July 26 this helps keeps his routine the same and it makes it an easier summer on him and us. Then both kids will be home the entire month of August ๐Ÿ™‚

Tonight looking forward to watching a WWE Pay preview (actually we have the network so we don’t pay for it on TV anymore we pay once a month for the network and the events are basically free) It’s our favorite kind of Sunday night ๐Ÿ™‚

PS I will be away next weekend for the 4th of July so I might not be doing a Week in READ-view & The Sunday Post.

So tell me what have you been reading and up to this week?

Let’s Chat…

Hope you all have a fantastic week!!!

Happy Reading

  1. I think my laptop is the same model ๐Ÿ™‚ and couldn’t live a day without it any more, ha, that’s quite sad thinking about it. But whatever makes us happy! I’m glad your husband is settling in, I have to get up at 5am every day and leave at 6 – you do get used to it. Think of the alternative, as you said, we can’t really complain. Enjoy your books .

  2. I finished reading Heir of Fire during the week and went to schedule my post for July and realised it\’s not due to release until September, so I had to move my post date! lol It was a great read and I hope you like Rowan!! Have a fab week!Thanx for visiting My Weekly Wrap-Up!

    • It’s fantastic ๐Ÿ™‚ I love to have the freedom to us it without wrestling anyone or someone yelling in my ear “Are you done yet”

  3. How fun that you have a new laptop. I love to get new electronics! I really want to get into the Throne of Glass series. My book club read it a few years ago but I had a family emergency and never got around to reading it.

  4. Great news on the laptop and getting back into routine a bit! Good job on the not getting any new books! I keep intending to do that but weaken at the last moment. Maybe this week will be my week. Have a great week and holiday weekend!

    • Thank you! It feels good not to add any more books until I realized I did add a book and totally forgot about it until now. Oh well we can just make believe and I’ll add it next week ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Bea

New toys are so much fun. ๐Ÿ™‚ I much prefer laptops to desktops, they’re just so convenient.

I’ve read several for COYER so far and loving it. I’ll try to participate in the read-a-thon.

    Have a great week!

    • I am starting to prefer the laoptop over the desktop now too. Wish I would have gotten on sooner.
I am hoping to get to the read-a-thon this week also. If I am finished with the two books I have scheduled.

  6. I’m so excited for you having your own laptop now!! Maybe we’ll both get caught up soon ๐Ÿ™‚ And I just realized reading your post that I didn’t do the post for this afternoon yet. :/ Gah! I’m so behind!

  7. Congrats on the new computer- I thought I was the only one who couldn’t really blog from a laptop, but judging from the comments I guess not. They are way convenient though… Sorry to hear Burning Sky didn’t work, but I think it’s really cool you have readers vote on your read- that’s fun! Hope the next pick works out better… and those Throne of Glass books are supposed to be really good.

COYER is fun so far, even though I started slow- I have to hit the linky and catch up on some of the reviews!

    • I usally blog by a table so I haven’t had any problems with it yet. I actaully find it much easier to keep you with all my post and soon my comments.

I really wanted Burning Sky to work but maybe the next one will be better. The Throne of Glass books are AMAZING!! I can’t wait to finish this one and start the next ๐Ÿ™‚

I also had a slow start to COYER but I am hoping this week gets me in a faster pace ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. I love my laptop, but still can’t blog from it. I hate trying to cut and paste links or text with it, and using a usb mouse is always so cumbersome, especially when you’re curled up on the couch.
I still haven’t got into the Throne of Glass books. I feel like I should do, but I’ve so much else to get through first.

    • At the moment I only use the mouse when I am on a flat surface and I have gotten pretty good with the trackpad. Very impressed with myself. I can’t blog curled on the couch, I wish I could but I would probably fall asleep Lol ๐Ÿ™‚

Throne of Glass is a great read and I heard the Audio books are pretty good also.

  9. Yay for finally getting your own laptop! I still prefer desktops over laptops and I can’t work on a laptop without a mouse. I hope your kids have a fun vacation.

I know a lot of people love the Throne of Glass series, but I actually DNF’d the first book and never got why everyone loved it. I hope you enjoy the books though :).

I read 3 books already for my Coyer challenge and two of those where from the list I made. I only posted one review on my blog yet, the other two will eb posted this week.

    • I love my desktop too but the laptop just gives me the freedom to hide from the kids ๐Ÿ™‚

You have plently of time to review the books, you can post them all in one lump if you wanted to. I don’t have one to review yet since I DNF the first books. I am hoping once I can finished with Assassins’ Blade I will have that review up. I feel so behind because of The Burning Sky but I should get into the swing of it very soon ๐Ÿ™‚
