Two Weeks to Recap ~ WIR & TSP

Posted September 21, 2014 by Michelle in The Sunday Post, WIReadview / 13 Comments

WIR vectorstock_43821-1-1Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Real Life & Blog News:

So I missed the Week In Read-view last week and I didn’t visit anyone posts either because….

On Friday the 12th, My son started having mild signs of having a asthma attack (due to allergies). He was breathing very rapidly and I sat with him all night watching him breath. In the morning I took him to the doctor and he was given inhalers and some meds and then the entire family fell apart when we got home, in an instant, my daughter started with a sinus like infection and I just completely fell to pieces that by Sunday the entire family could have gotten abducted my aliens and I wasn’t getting out of bed to get them back, so I really didn’t get a lot of stuff done and I really didn’t read as much as I would have like (which now means I am REALLY behind). Well as of today Saturday 10:06pm, the kids are better and once this stupid cough that I have goes away I will be fine too 🙂

This weekend was Bloggiesta and I have gotten a lot done and still have a bunch to do and didn’t get a lot done on Saturday since I was out all day but I plan to get back into it today and finish everything I was hoping I would be able to. You can see my goals HERE. This has given me a good start to getting over the Summer Lazies and I have so many things I want to do I am excited for Bloggiesta kicking me in the butt and getting me started. I am now ahead with all my Author Spotlight Posts and have a few new features I am still working on that I can’t wait to share with you all soon.

A Month of Giving ThanksI wasn’t sure if anyone had seen this or not but Berls @ Fantasy is more fun and I are doing a challenge in November and would love if you would join us. Its A Month of Giving Thanks you can find all the details HERE. You don’t have to do a post every day it’s pretty much up to you 🙂

  1. Wow! Sounds like you had a rough week! Glad everyone is better and hopefully your cough will go away soon. Allergies can be so brutal. I’ve started my Benadryl regimen to hopefully keep from getting too bad but I know it still won’t be fun! Hope this week is much better and sickness free!

  2. Sorry to hear that you have had such a bad go of things with the kids..ugh. Glad they are all feeling better.

I seen on Stacey’s facebook page that she was asking for blogger to do a blast for her book Raven so I signed up for it. Since I haven’t read them yet I figured I could at least spotlight them. 🙂

I almost want to put Pines down and try Crane (your such a bad influence..lol), but Pines is my TBR pile review so I have to get thought it first. 🙂

    Have a great week!

  3. Sorry your family has been sick. It seems like families with kids all get hit at once, or one right after the other, which is probably even worse! I’ve started The Art of Lainey for my TBR List, but I’m going to have to take a break because I have a blog tour book to review for mid-week. I should be able to finish it by Saturday though.

    • It really does run through a family like wild fire lol. I have my fingers crossed I will finish but even if I don’t I will post either what happened or a half review explaining when the full review will be up 🙂

  4. Your giving thanks challenge with Berls sounds like fun, will have to check that out. A great idea. Heir of Fire seems to be everywhere and people seem to really like it, hope it’s working for you as well.

Asthma sucks basically, my daughter has it too (not real bad usually) but it can be a pain when it flares up. Glad things are better now.

    • I like Heir of Fire and I can’t wait to get back to it, I just feel like It is going very slow, a lot slower than the other two books.

My son usually only gets Asthma when his allergies are really bad. Its so scary. Things are a lot better now, Thank you 🙂

    • We are getting better, hoping once the weather stays cooler the allergies/sinus stuff will go away and I can open some windows and air out this house.
Bloggiesta has been so helpful this time around 🙂 I have my fingers crossed I finish in time!!!

  5. I can understand why you haven’t gotten around to blog visiting, that’s a lot of sickness in one week :(. I hope you feel completely better soon!

I am curious about which new features you’re working one! I am currently reading Elected, whcih was chosen to read with the My To-Be read list meme. I am really hoping I can finish it in time, I am almost half way through and force myself to take a break for lunch and read a bit instead of eating behind my computer and working.

    • This week has made me so behind, I am hoping to start my TBR List book on Tuesday the latest. Since it’s a physical book I can’t read when I am at work so it will be slow reading however if the books is really good I might be finished soon, you never know :). I will have one up soon, I realized the other one I might have to wait on since I don’t have enough materials for it to finish the post.
