As most of you know, May wasn’t my month. My dad passed this month and it took us all by surprise. It’s been a hard month, my anxiety has been through the roof and with everything going on in the world I felt like I was falling apart. I took some time off here and there and tried to process everything but I think it will just take time so I need to get my “new normal” started and even though it will be hard, I can’t just stop my life…my dad wouldn’t want me to do that, he alway said I was just like him and I am. I am a strong person and will get through this, just going to take one step at a time.
I didn’t read as much as I had wanted but I did read and my family got me new books for mothers day. I need to focus on what makes me happy and that’s my family, friends, gaming, blogging, design and reading. Wine and Coffee also help lol.
Blogging was slow this month and I have had some great ideas for posts in the coming weeks, I am looking forward to sharing them with you. I also plan to get back into doing Wow post and might check out some other memes that might be find to do. One posts I want to get back is my Afternoon Tea post and getting back into getting all my challenges in order. I miss sharing my bookish thoughts and recommendations, plus I want to start getting back into doing reviews but trying to find a different way to do them. I would also like to visit people again, I really do miss al my friends! 🙂

Considering how the year has been and things you have gone through I think you did very well. 🙂 *hugs*
Yeah, you get a free pass for May to take time out to grieve and reflect. Glad you’ve got good stuff to help you with family, friends, and fun stuff. Look forward to seeing your posts when you roll them out. Great haul. I got Aurora Burning, too.
I’m glad you are finding a way to get back into blogging. I feel like it is the thoughtful and caring blogging community that is keeping me sane in the midst of all of this mess. I saw a review this morning on Donna’s Girl Who Reads blog for a book called Stories That Bind Us. Donna quoted this from the book: “Don’t let the scary things of the world keep you from seeing the good.” I’m trying to follow that advice.
