Berls @ Fantasy is more fun and I are recapping 2015
and looking ahead to 2016 the next 12 days.
Feel free to join us!
I’ll be sharing highlights month-by-month and giving you a peak at what’s ahead in 2016.
out with the OLD: 2015
This last year was hard for me with content and post. I know I had quite a few posts but original content was lacking and a lot of it had to do with real life stuff. I wanted to make the blog more personal and I talked about that a lot in the last Old/New posts, however, I don’t feel like I actually was able to do as much as I wanted. The year was difficult and even now as I sit here writing this I realize I wasn’t really able to recover as much as I wanted. I filled the blog with Tours and Blitzes, as much as I love doing them every so often for authors and books that I am interested, this year coming up you might see a drop in that. I want people to stop by because they love what I post and enjoy reading what I have to say. Yes, I am making this very selfish but in a very good way. I love having you all know the real me, the person behind the blog and I want my content and posts to reflect that. So not many changes for the new year but maybe just a few.
in with the NEW: 2016
Content and Posts
2016 is a Fresh Year with a Fresh Start. Every December 31st is like a cliffhanger to me and every year is a new chapter with exciting things to come. So this year I am hoping to have a fresh start to try and accomplish posts and content that is new and fun, original and interesting. Something that will keep you coming back. What all that will be? I am not sure but as the first of the year comes around I am starting to think that being ahead is really the only way to get those things done. Yes, real life does get in the way and sometimes you get lazy and don’t feel like doing all that stuff you wanted too but I enjoy talking and sharing with you so I hope with this new chapter I can give you a good look at what I am really about. Blog Tours and Blitzes are going to be very limited and a lot more of what I want to read will be reviewed. I love ARCS like every other blogger but I also have a ton of books already released that I would love to read and I don’t want to limit myself to only reading those sparkly new books. I also want to make sure that whatever content I do post hasn’t been a topic that has been done over a million time, I do like reading everyone’s opinion on things but I would love some fresh new ideas. If I know one thing its I can come up with new crazy ideas and often.
I have changed my review writing a few times throughout the year and I plan to keep making it different, from 5 things about the book I liked, to writing an original review based on why I picked it up and what I like about it. I want to make each review different from the next so I am throwing out my template and ways of writing reviews and just going to jump in head first and give you my very best when it comes to review writing. This doesn’t mean they will be super long or super short, just that each one will be different in length, style and layout.

Have a great day and Happy Reading
I enjoyed Henge and I believe the second book has been released or will release soon.
Good luck with your resolutions!
I read the second one already. It was really good!
I am going to try and read more of my own books this year or even just books I want to buy. Normally I buy things and they set on the shelf unread…cue my father rolling his eyes as he looks around at all the books laying around. ๐ So this year I am hoping to read more of my own, decide what I want to keep and not keep and off the the used bookstore the not keep shall go so I can then grab a few books I want…lol. ๐ So I need to be more selective about my ARC’s this year and I already have a bunch..ugh. (I need to quick picking them up cause they have pretty covers and make sure I really really want them.) ๐
I also need to be selective but I want to read more for me and review books I love or like. I DNF to many books this year and I wasn’t happy about it. Kind of takes the fun out of reading.
I will always pick them for pretty covers lol I realized I pick wine depending on the label so it’s a thing I have ๐
I want to read Top Ten I’m Clueless. I agree always feel like the new year is a fresh start and I’m always have so many goals that I don’t always complete, but I finally find the motivation at the beginning of the year.
It was a cute book, I did have one issue with it but it wasn’t a big deal and it was very funny.
Me too! ๐
I love the graphic! I’m sitting down to write my Look Back post so I’m taking you up on your kind offer and joining you by borrowing it! I really enjoyed your more personal blog posts this past year and am glad you’re going to be continuing on that trend. Have a merry Christmas and hope 2016 is fantastic!
Thank you ๐
I have to admit this was hard to write, I really need to get ahead on these next year lol.
I also like personal blog posts I think they are fun to read and it helps to learn more about the person behind the blog ๐
Have a Merry Christmas!!!
