Reviews & Posts ~ Task It Tuesday!

Task-It-TuesdayWelcome to Task It Tuesday! hosted by the Awesome The Geeky Blogger

What is Task It Tuesday? It is where every week I list a task or tasks that I would like to accomplish on my blog or in Real Life before next Tuesday. It can be big or small but the goal is to get something done that will make my blog/reading life/challenges run smoother, faster, or more efficient and/or get those simple or complex tasks done in my real life.

My Task(s) this week:

I did very good last week and completed two of my goals, so this week I am going to do nothing but reviews and posts. I am so behind on all of this with what had gone on in my personal life that I honestly have NO posts set up at all. So I am hoping to get enough stuff to at least get the through mid July 🙂

  • REVIEWS ~ I was in a bit of a review writing slump but I have found a fresh new way to write my reviews. Since my notes are a list of sentences or feelings about the books, I thought maybe instead of writing up this entire post I could do a paragraph of why I picked up the books, the list from my notes and a closing paragraph. I have seen a few other bloggers do something similar and I thought it was neat (since I love lists) and I find them to be fun to read so for now my review style has changed…until I change it again 😉
  • POST ~ Set up the posts so I can pop in reviews  and get some App Reviews and other posts ready for posting.
  • Spreadsheets ~ If I have time I would like to finish up my spreadsheet and add anything new before I get behind again 🙂

Tasks completed this week:

  • COYER
  • Limabean Design Spreadsheets

About Michelle

I am a mom to two pretty amazing kids, four pretty cute fluffy children and a wife to one adorable husband. I am a gamer, reader and a graphic designer with 20 years experience. I recently started my own business "Limabean Designs" to help other bloggers, authors and anyone else create amazing things that they would be proud to show off. I have been reading since forever and started blogging because I love sharing all the awesome books this world has to offer. I am also the co-host for the COYER Challenge, Reading Assignment Challenge and the Bookish Resolutions Challenge. I try to create a warm welcoming environment on my blog where authors, readers, and bloggers will have a great time. Let’s chat books, games, blogging, recipes, design, or family over a cup of coffee and a glass of wine!

  1. Yeah, changing things up will help keeping it fresh for YOU, Michelle. And it’s definitely important to have fun with your hobby, right? Good luck on catching up with some of your reviews – do you have the new UBB, where you can include several books in one post? I think it still shows each individual book in your review archive, which is a good thing.
    Have a fantastic week, Michelle.

    • I didn’t get the new UBB yet. I want it but maybe soon.

I try to remember this as a hobby and I do love doing it but I have gotten so lazy the last couple of weeks I think I need to step it up now and get back to it. Plus I have been stinking a visits need to get to those also soon.

  2. It is probably time for me to change up the way that I write my reviews. I may go back to doing the “What Worked” What Didn’t” thing. I always attach my reading updated from Goodreads if I have them, which I usually do for books that I like and have a lot to say about.
I look forward to how yours will work. It’s a great idea to keep things fresh.

    • That’s a good idea, I do that sometimes when I do updates on Goodreads but with the lists I might use some of those updates as well.
I just have no desire to write them maybe because I am so behind, I am hoping to catch up with those first then maybe I will want to write them more as soon as I finish the book like I use to.
