Books:

Reading:

So I had to put aside Kill the Farm Boy, not because I wasn’t liking it, I actually thought it was very funny and it seemed like it was going to be so fun to read but I just wasn’t in the mood for it. With the holidays it was hard to stay focused so I decided to put it aside and going to try again at another time.

I am jumping into my next TBR book and have a few ARCs to get too before the end of Jan. I am going to try and organize my shelves this year with goodreads and get my reading a little more organized. I feel like I am getting more books than I am actually reading and I miss reading!

(Read, Currently Reading & Next)

What I grabbed:

My family did good and I love the books they got me. I didn’t grab anything else this week. I would love to do a binge read on this monster series.

Up above you can find these two challenges. Check out the details and I hope you will join us! 🙂 .

Week in READview:

Real life:

I feel like I am in limbo between Christmas and New Years, I am always totally confused.

Christmas Eve was great, we had a fun time with family and I cooked for Christmas day for my family, my parents, sister and nephew. It was a nice quiet day with some yummy food.

The kids were very happy with what “Santa” brought them and the family got me 3 books (see above) two bottles of my favorite wine and two boxes of Hazelnut k-cup coffee. I am looking forward to a quiet New Years and we are going to take down the decorations next week. I really can’t wait for things to go back to normal.

Even thought Christmas was a bit crazy, the rest of the week was great.  We slept late and just hung around. I didn’t cook for 3 days, which was fantastic. I do love to cook but I needed the break from cooking and getting up early. The weather has been gorgeous and we are suppose to get some heavy rain today which is fine, since we plan to make it a lazy day before heading back to work on Monday.

Going to spend some time today going over my calendar and getting ready for the New Year! 🙂

  1. I’m kind of ready for normal too. I love the holidays but man it was hectic this year- but then it is every year as we travel all over creation lol. 🙂 Glad you had a nice one and hopefully got to relax this weekend before going back to work. I always get discombobulated over the holidays too as I lose track of what day it is lol.

  2. I bought The Shadow of What Was Lost for my son for Christmas, I hope you enjoy it.
We’ve been sleeping in too, in fact I usually have to drag the kids out of bed at midday.

Wishing you a great reading week and a Happy New Year

  3. I know this time of the year is strange and has me all confused too especially when Christmas happen in the middle of the week! Anyway I am glad to read that you had a great Christmas!

  4. I’m glad you had a lovely holiday. I did more cooking and more big house projects and am hoping for a quieter and more bookish week this week. I am working, slowly on my Bookish Resolutions Post. I thought the Top 10 was really fun and plan to do it next year so I will be looking for ideas / a new 2020 graphic. 🙂

    Happy New Year Michelle!
