I am starting this post with sad news. One of our friends from the book blogging community passed this week. This week Tiffany from A_TiffyFit’s Reading Corner passed away, she was battling Stage 4 colon cancer but when she went in for a chemo treatment something happened and she slipped into a coma last friday, I followed her father’s post on Facebook and I am sad to have learned she passed on Tuesday. Tiffany was a very good friend, I never met her in person but always considered her a friend even if only through the internet. She was a very compassionate, loving, caring, funny and just all around wonderful person. I will miss her a lot as I know all of her family and friends will too. I really had hoped she would have beaten cancer and I really thought she was. I admire her spirit from the time she found out she had cancer up until her final day. The cancer did not beat her! She was an amazing person, she will be missed. <3
Books:
I was able to finish the Kingdom and honestly LOVED it. So different, I was originally going to give it 4.5 stars but I think I will just leave it at 5. I really did like it.
The kids graduated to the next great so of course that means I deserved books! 😉

Real life & Blogging:
I had a three day work week this week. The beginning of the week was busy at work and I spend time helping my dad with the apartment and cleaning up out house. On Thursday was my son’s 8th grade graduation, I can’t believe he will be in the 9th grade next year! I found out a couple weeks ago that the school asked my son if he would sing the Star Spangled Banner at the graduation. He, of course, said yes. I CRIED! For such a hard song and for someone that isn’t a professional signer he killed it! I am so very proud of him and so honored to be his mom! I also had no idea he could sing! lol
On Friday my nephew graduated high school! Why is everyone getting so old?!?! Thank goodness I am staying the same. 😉 Yesterday we had his graduation party, so very proud of him too. Got some pretty awesome kids in my family.
My daughter is officially out of school and my sons school ends on Wednesday. Glad the school year is over, the kids are looking forward to the summer. I still have to work but I am hoping to get a few days to spend with them and maybe even a couple of days in August to do some day trips.
Going to try and get some blogging done today but I have a feeling it will be a very slow summer.
What I am watching:
Still watching Bones but I am looking forward to the third Season and Glow that comes out August 9th. I am also looking forward to Dark Crystal prequel that is also coming out soon. I am looking forward to binge watching some shows this summer.
What I am playing:
The Sims 4 has taken up a LOT of my time! I honestly don’t care because I am having such a good time. I also started building houses again and forgot how much fun it is and also how much time I spend on making them.
So tell me what have you been reading and up to this week?
Hope you all have a fantastic week!!!
Happy Reading

How funny that the school asked your son to sing The Star Spangled Banner and you didn’t even know he sings! I’m sure I would have cried too.
And I’m so sorry to hear about Tiffany passing away. I didn’t know her, but it’s always sad to hear when tragedy befalls someone in our community.
Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry 😔 I can’t imagine what that it is like.
LOL good to know you’re staying exactly the same 😂 that cracked me up.
Kill the Farm Boy sounds good. My week in review
I’m so sorry to hear about your friend. Cancer just sucks.
Congrats to your son! How awesome that he sang the anthem. That’s a hard song!
How are you liking Nightmare? I keep playing with the idea of getting it on audio but haven’t yet. Have a great week!
Sorry to hear about your blogger friend. Cancer sucks. ( < understatement of the year.)
Sorcery of Thorns looks awesome! I'm excited to read that one.
Well done to your son for singing the anthem and congrats to your nephew on graduating.
Fingers crossed you get some chill time soon!
That cover for Sorcery of Thorns literally OWNS ME and I need to get my hands on it so badly! I’m glad you enjoyed The Kingdom-it sounds SO good and I am definitely a lot more interested in it now than I was. Many congrats to your son for not only graduating 8th Grade (!!! what a year) but for singing the Star Spangled Banner. That is so amazing and I’m happy he was given the opportunity! So exciting! Side note, I’m the same about The Sims 4. I recently started playing it again and it’s sooo addictive to me. I used to get SO consumed by these games. Sims 4 is the only one I don’t have a lot of expansion packs for, but I swear that game series used to own me SO BADLY.
I hope this week treats you well! Happy reading!
Oh I’m so sorry to hear about Tiffany. I didn’t know her but that’s awful news- my heart goes out to her family and friends.
Congrats to your son, that’s awesome! You must be so proud. 🙂 And yes high school creeps up on you- one minute they’re in elementary and the next- bam- you’re talking high school. It’s crazy!
Seafire looks great. And A Dark Crystal prequel huh? Cool!
Have a great week Michelle!
Im said to hear of the death of one of ‘our’ own. My condolences to her friends and family.
My youngest will be in Year nine next year, I have no idea where the time went.
Have a great reading week
The book community really lost a bright light. She was a good one and will be missed.
They grow so fast, I wish time would really slow down.
This is such a sad news for Tiffany Michelle! Life can be so unfair sometimes. Now about the kids growing up …my daughter will have her high school graduation this week! Where did the time go?
Life is very unfair sometimes.
They do grow up rather quickly.
I used to LOVE the sims. I really liked Sim city though! Good times! Enjoy your summer!
I never played Sim City but it always looked like so much fun.
So sorry for your loss and the many others who knew Tiffany.
Yay for son belting out the anthem and congrats on leveling up into High School. My niece graduated this year and we had the party last weekend. Always exciting to see the kids finish and go on.
Glad your Kingdom book turned out fab. I read some good ones this week. One of my high anticipated ones turned out wonderful, too.
Have a good week, Michelle!
It was heartbreaking that she passed. I know she will be missed by so many people.
He did such an amazing job and that song is so hard to sing. I posted it on Instagram if you follow.
The Kingdom was so good, I think after a day or so I realized I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. The end was pretty awesome! I do hope they have another book or a spin off or something. I really enjoyed the world.
I used to be hooked on the Sims. I had to wean myself away from it; I tend to become obsessed with things and spend my entire life doing things rather than the things I need to do like cooking and cleaning.
Congratulations on your son’s accomplishment. They surprise us sometimes!
Enjoy your time with your kids. It goes quicker than I expected.
Before kids I was so hooked I played all the time, only stopped because my computer couldn’t update anymore and the game ran too slow. My kids are older now so I am having so much fun playing again. It’s like my me time. I still cook and clean and usually set aside about 1 or 2 hours a night to play. The weekends are whatever since I am an adult and can do what I want! lol 😀
My kids are growing so fast! I love that we are so close, I have a feeling they might live with me forever! lol
It was so very sad to hear about Tiffany she was cool and so upbeat! 🙁 Ryan did an amazing job singing!!
Wait! What is this you talk about a Dark Crystal prequel!! I must go and check this out! *runs off* OMG and they are doing it with puppets just like the original!!! I loved that show way back in the day!!! So cool!!!
Have a great week and happy reading!!

She was a force that will be missed. I already miss her posts.
Ryan was so good! I am very proud of him!
I KNOW! I love the Dark Crystal! I have watched it a million times. FizzGig is my favorite! I can’t wait to what the prequel and to see how it all started.
Yes, Tiffany will be sorely missed! I never met her in person either, but she sure was my friend. <3
I don't watch much TV – as always, I prefer reading 🙂
Have a wonderful week ahead, my dear Michelle! I miss you!! <3 <3 xoxo
Her Dad said it was a freak accident. I can’t even believe it. I already miss her presence online.
I don’t watch much live TV. Most of what I watch is Netflix or other streaming stuff. I need background noise when I cook or clean but sometimes when I plan games I watch shows on my phone 🙂
Miss you too! We really need to figure out how to get a girls blogging weekend or couple days or week.
Congratulations to Ryan! I saw the pics/video on Facebook – it was so sweet how emotional he was. Lots to be proud of!
Speaking of binging TV shows, I’ve been binge watching Crazy Ex-Girlfriend on Netflix and can’t recommend it to enough people.
I’m distracted enough by my life that Sims hasn’t actually taken up more than like 6 total hours of my life so far. Shocker, right?!
♥️♥️
He is a very emotional kid and sensitive. I knew he would cry. He said they were tears of happiness. 🙂
I will have to check it out! 🙂
I find playing to be very relaxing and I’m having fun. I feel good now so I still get a lot done while I play. I need that balance to function properly lol
