Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Itโs a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
Real Life & Blog News:
Umm…Hello November? Where in the World did this year go? Do you realize that we only have about 8 weeks until Xmas? 8 WEEKS!!!! But let’s get through this weekend first ๐ Today is my Baby Girls 7th Birthday! We will be celebrating today with Breakfast and a Trip to Toys R Us to get some birthday presents, we usually buy stuff for her but we thought instead lets let her pick what she wants. She is so excited.
Halloween was so much fun. My son had a rough start to the day but it turned out all good later on. We got a lot of candy and the kids had a blast going to all the houses. 2 1/2 hours we spend trick or treating I was exhausted!!!. Here are a few pictures from last week Halloween preparation and Halloween Day.

ย So tell me what have you been reading and up to this week?
Hope you all have a fantastic week!!!
Happy Reading
Happy Birthday to your daughter! The photos from Halloween are awesome BTW ๐
Thank you!!! ๐
Your boy is a cute hot dog ๐ Happy birthday to your kitty/baby girl. 2.5 hours trick or treating? Wow. I bet you all were tired.
More changes coming, so many bloggers are changing. It’s like a chain reaction. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Love your pics from Halloween, looks like the kids had fun.
I feel the same way I’m trying to put more of my personality into my blog as well and make it more unique. I hope you find a design you like and make changes you’re happy with. Have a great week.
The Map to Everywhere looks like a fun read! I hope you enjoy it. ๐
Don’t ignore my 8 weeks till xmas lol it will sneak up on us before we know it. ๐
Thank you! 7 is a great age and she is my going out buddy, I love that she wants to keep e company at stores and stuff I hate going alone and shes awesome to talk to ๐
i am hoping to get started with blog ahead soon but I seem to have just realized how far behind I am and need to fix that before I can really get ahead. Hoping by tomorrow I can do a few things for December.
Happy birthday to your not so little one! 7 is such a great age though. They’re not helpless but that whole middle school thing hasn’t started yet. Looks like you guys had a great Halloween! I love your son’s costume. Good luck with blog ahead! I’m looking forward to seeing your new changes. It’s always good to take some time to reevaluate. The Map to Everywhere looks like a fun read! Hope you enjoy it if that’s where you decide to go next. Have a great week!
-I’m ignoring the whole 8 weeks till Christmas comment! Totally unnecessary ๐
Your kids are so cute in the costumes! I showed my dad your Dancing Hot Dog he thought it was cute..hehe. I think some times it takes a while to figure out exactly how we want out blogs and then some times longer. I think a lot of times about how I wish I had a different blog name but since I have had this one forever I just keep going on with it. ๐
The books your reading look really cute! ๐ Have a great week!
I love that he likes to be different lol He always wants to be something either hard to find or totally different then anyone else. I love it ๐
You can always change your name I know someone else did that and I love my name but I wish it wasn’t so long which is why I tend to go with Because reading.
Sssh Michelle..I am not ready for the holidays. Thanksfully my kids are all grown up and shopping isn’t a huge issue..but I am hosting both holidays and will be busy cooking, baking and decorating. Have a delightful week and I adore the photos you shared..just too darn cute!
I do Xmas at my house, I LOVE cooking and it’s so nice not to have to open gifts and rush out the door. This time of year is my favorite and I am really looking forward to it. For some reason I really feel like I am in the Holiday spirit more than I was last year.
I grabbed Monsters Around The Campfire too! Looks so fun and I’m getting ready to read Dawn of the Jed. Loved the first one.
Happy Birthday to your daughter. Sounds like she’s going to have a great birthday!
I miss trick-or-treating now that my son is grown but I do remember how exhausting it was.
Monsters around The Campfire looks to cute not to grab ๐
Thank you and it really is a lot more exhausting as they get older because they can walk longer lol.
Your banner changed again, I really like this one as well!
Happy birthday to your daughter, I hope she has a great day ๐
It was so much fun to see everyone’s costumes around the internet on Halloween. I am a bit sad Halloween isn’t a popular here yet. Those Halloween treats you made, look really good!
I always have trouble commenting on the author spotlights as I often don’t know the author and doesn’t really have as much to say. So I think it’s a good thing to have less of those and more personal posts. I am looking forward to see what you come up with :).
Yes I changed it for Thanksgiving and I will have one for Xmas also ๐
I make the pretzels for the kids class friends and my kids love them. I make them for xmas also.
I agree and that is why I want to do less of those and more of stuff people can comment something more fun.
I was just thinking you probably had made a banner for Xmas as well, lol. I am curious what it will look like!
I can understand why your kids love those pretzels, they look delicious
We spent about two hours trick-or-treating too. We were having too much fun! Happy birthday to Julia! Have a blast at toys r us too. Were you able to find a pink DS for her? (it was a DS right?)
Shane! More books! Lol like I should talk ๐ we need to chat again this week too!
I got her the Pink 3ds but a refurbished one since they are coming out with a new 3DS system next year. She has fun at Toys R Us we even took pictures of some stuff they want for xmas ๐
2 1/2 hours trick or treating- wow! We only did about an hour but the weather was nasty, cold and windy. Great pumpkin pics! Happy birthday to your daughter.
The Map to Everywhere looks good, and I voted on your next To Be read because you have to read Get Even LOL!
We had a few places to go visiting and did a bit of trick or treating around each place. The kids had so much fun and my husband and I were exhausted ๐
I love the cover of Map of Everywhere it was what made me request the book lol. Pretty covers get me everytime.
Lol I am looking forward to reading it, might do it anyway if I have time next month! Thanks for voting ๐
